THE NEIGHBORHOOD

45 minutes from Yosemite and 5 minutes from the lake.

Deerborn Haven sits among the pines in Pine Mountain Lake, a private residential lake community where mornings are quiet, deer wander through and you can enjoy a full vacation day without leaving the gates.

PINE MOUNTAIN LAKE

* Approximately 5 minutes to Lake Lodge Beach and Fisherman’s Cove
* Approximately 9 minutes to the Main Marina
* Approximately 10 minutes to downtown Groveland
* Three sandy lake beaches with designated swimming areas
* Seasonal swimming pool, typically open from noon to 9 PM, May through October
* 18-hole championship golf course with driving range, pro shop and lessons
* The Grill restaurant overlooking the golf course
* Four tennis courts and six pickleball courts
* Playgrounds, fishing and seasonal horseback riding
* Walking and hiking trails throughout the community

Community facilities, hours and fees are managed by Pine Mountain Lake and may change seasonally.

THE LAKE

Lake Lodge is our closest beach and our favorite for a quieter lake day. It has easy parking, a designated swimming area, floating dock, BBQs and a playground beside the sand. Our two paddleboards can also be arranged through our concierge and placed there before you arrive.

The Main Marina has a livelier summer atmosphere, with a sandy beach, picnic areas, volleyball, bocce and seasonal boat and kayak rentals.

GOLF, SWIMMING AND HIKING

The championship golf course is approximately 10 minutes from the house and is open to the public. It includes an 18-hole course, driving range, pro shop and lessons, with The Grill nearby for lunch or dinner overlooking the fairways.

The community swimming pool offers an alternative to the lake and is typically open from noon to 9 PM between May and October. Seasonal schedules and guest-access rules should be confirmed before your stay.

Big Creek Trail is approximately five minutes from Deerborn Haven and offers a shaded dirt path beside the creek. Additional walking and hiking trails run throughout Pine Mountain Lake, all within the gates.

AROUND DEERBORN HAVEN

The house sits on a peaceful circle that is easy to walk with children or dogs. Pines line the route, and there is usually a deer or two along the way.

GROVELAND

Downtown Groveland is approximately 10 minutes away. This small Gold Rush town has a grocery store, cafés, restaurants, ice cream, local shops and the historic Iron Door Saloon.

YOSEMITE

Yosemite’s Big Oak Flat entrance is 33 scenic miles away, approximately 45 minutes by car. Allow around 90 minutes to reach Yosemite Valley, including El Capitan and the major waterfalls.

Most guests leave early for Yosemite, then return to Deerborn Haven for dinner, the hot tub, sauna, and an evening beneath the pines.

Yosemite entry requirements can change. Check current National Park Service information when planning your trip.

Hi! We’re Tracey, Roy, and our two teenage girls, and we’re so happy to welcome you to our Pine Mountain Lake home. Our daughters have grown up spending summers and holidays here, so we truly understand the joy of family fun time in the mountains. I’m originally from Ireland, and Roy is a born-and-raised Californian, and together we've created this home as a peaceful, comfortable retreat for friends and families, people who value quality time, fresh air, and a home that's loved and well cared for.
We’ve been part of the Pine Mountain Lake community for decades, and although we live about 3.5 hours away, we come up often between stays to personally maintain the house and make sure everything is just right. We’re always just a call or message away if you need anything, and in case of emergencies, we have a great network of kind neighbors and trusted local professionals who can step in quickly.

During the summer, we’re often nearby and sometimes even available to greet you in person at check-in or check-out. If you're arriving late or when we're not around, no problem. Your unique front door code will be sent once your reservation is confirmed so that you can let yourself in anytime.

We genuinely want your stay to be relaxing and memorable. We care deeply about this home and the Pine Mountain Lake community, and we love welcoming guests who will enjoy and respect it as much as we do.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Why We Chose Pine Mountain Lake

We fell in love with Pine Mountain Lake because it offers the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty. After unwinding on the swinging bed or soaking in the hot tub, there's so much to explore. Our girls grew up enjoying the many playgrounds, the 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, pool, and the private lake with three sandy beaches—perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming.

Surrounded by forest trails, rivers, and wildlife like deer, quail, and squirrels, it truly feels like a serene escape in the Sierra. We're just 33 miles from Yosemite, making it the ideal home base for hiking, whitewater rafting, and day trips into the park.

We love how peaceful and family-friendly this community is, and we’re excited to share it with guests who want a mix of fun, nature, and relaxation.
Pine Mountain Lake is a peaceful, remote mountain community, and occasionally there may be temporary outages of power, internet, or other utilities—especially if PG&E shuts off power during high fire danger. These events are out of our control, and we’re unable to provide compensation for any such interruptions.

We do, however, provide flashlights, lanterns, and games to make things more comfortable—and of course, there's always the beauty of nature to enjoy while things get sorted. Thanks for your understanding!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

While adults unwind, kids can have fun on the trampoline, play structure, hot tub, or foosball table. Indoors, a large leather sofa and oversized chair by the fireplace offer a cozy spot to read or enjoy movies on the 65” smart TV with Netflix, Disney+

Outside, the fenced yard is pet-friendly and includes two dining areas, a 5-burner BBQ, and a hot tub under its gazebo, ideal for relaxing after Yosemite hikes or golf.

We hope you feel right at home, comfortable, cared for, and surrounded by Pine Mountain Lake’s natural beauty.
