Gorgeous sunsets at the beach!

This cottage is in a great location. Short drive to Leland and Suttons Bay. Easy to get to great hiking trails, sand dunes and Glen Arbor. The house is clean and the owner was thoughtful to make sure we had all we might need. We loved the beach deck, beach chairs, noodles and kayaks. Please note the beach this year is rocks, not sand, so a bit challenging to walk on without Tevas or the like. The cottage is a beautiful, forest view and guests should be able to do a slight incline path and a few stairs to access the spectacular view and quiet beach. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet Lake Michigan getaway.The one thing worth clarifying is that there are two homes on the property. The rental is behind the larger house closest to the water, which is currently undergoing renovation. When we arrived, I initially assumed the waterfront house was our rental based on the listing. While the rental itself doesn’t have direct water views, you have full access to the beach just a short walk down the property. Once there, the setting is spectacular, incredibly private, with gorgeous views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.The location is also excellent. Downtown Lake Leelanau is just a few minutes away for a market, restaurants and basics. Leland is a short drive north, Glen Arbor is about 20–25 minutes south, and Northport and the tip of the peninsula are easily accessible. We also enjoyed a great night out in Suttons Bay, less than 15 minutes away.Overall, the privacy, beautiful Lake Michigan access and proximity to so many great Leelanau destinations made this a terrific stay. I’d only suggest making the two-home layout clearer in the listing. Otherwise, highly recommended.
