Ce chalet de plage classique est situé à seulement un pâté de maisons de la plage et de Bogue Inlet. Être si proche (3 minutes à pied) permet une promenade pratique pour éclabousser et bronzer côté océan ou attraper un tambour rouge de classe mondiale tout en pêchant le Bogue Inlet!

Dès votre arrivée dans cette maison de 3 chambres et 2 salles de bains, elle évoque immédiatement les souvenirs des charmants cottages de plage originaux d'Emeraude Isle. La cuisine / salle à manger / salon à plan d'étage ouvert est l'endroit où vous passez le plus de temps lorsque vous n'êtes pas sur la plage et il permet un endroit idéal pour se réunir et divertir les amis et la famille. Avec deux ponts et beaucoup d'espace couvert en dessous, vous pouvez facilement déplacer les choses à l'extérieur, surtout lorsque les "Party Lights" sont en bas! Les chiens de moins de 35 livres sont les bienvenus avec un animal de compagnie. Le linge de lit et les serviettes de bain sont inclus pour un maximum de 10 personnes, vous n'avez donc qu'à apporter vos serviettes de plage!

La Master Suite a un lit queen size et sa propre salle de bain privée avec douche. La chambre avec lits superposés dispose d'une paire de lits superposés doubles qui font de cette chambre un espace pour enfants confortable et amusant. La chambre Queen a un lit queen avec beaucoup de lumière naturelle chaleureuse. La salle de bain a une baignoire pleine grandeur mais la plupart des gens préfèrent utiliser la douche extérieure après une longue journée de plaisir et de soleil! Livres, jeux, téléviseurs avec câble, Roku et lecteur DVD signifient que même les jours de pluie à la plage peuvent être divertissants ici! Laveuse et sécheuse sont inclus, tout comme un gril afin que vous puissiez avoir les commodités de la maison pendant les vacances.

La pointe est la zone à la fin du chemin Coast Guard. connu pour son ambiance calme et familiale / quartier. Puisque la plage est orientée au sud, il y a beaucoup de soleil toute la journée et vous pouvez regarder le coucher de soleil sur l'eau à Bogue Inlet le soir!

En plus de votre chaise de plage, apportez vos vélos et parcourez la piste cyclable élaborée de l'île d'Émeraude dans toute l'île pour trouver des boutiques et des restaurants amusants. Nous aimons tous nos boutons de plage et nous nous réjouissons de vous rencontrer!

We woke up the first morning to NO HEAT. The furnace stopped working . Matt had repair crew out right away to fix it . Thank you.The house was lacking basics like soap, dish soap, trash bags, toilet paper( we left a case for your future guests) and the internet / WiFi never worked despite multiple attempts by competent people . Overall we managed but we won't return .

A gem at The Point - block from the beach

We loved our stay. The house is wonderfully cozy with a well stocked kitchen for family meals. The dogs appreciated the fenced-in yard. The property was well situated in a quiet neighborhood only a block from beach access. The Point is our favorite ocean getaway. Thanks for a great week!

overall the rooms were clean as well as the living areas. The application process went very well and we received timely communications with the host. Our little dashund had a nice area in the back that on occasion was shared by at one time 5 deer, lol. I think that had he wanted to he could have gone thru the vertical slats but we didn't really worry about it. The kitchen utensils that we used were of good condition and there was a lot of different items.

Easter Beach Weekend

If you are looking for a great family getaway Prior Engagement is great and well stocked! Just grab your beach towels and go plenty of toys for the kids to play with as well. Just a short walk to the beach with the convenient cart, bikes and umbrella too!! We will be back

Great rental for family and dog

We had a very nice trip to Emerald Isle. Property is well maintained and great for our family of 4 and two friends. Location great at end of the island - very quiet. Perfect for our dog as well. Would highly recommend!

The cottage was cozy with nice decor. It was very clean except for the patio floor beneath the house where we enjoyed our time with the grandchildren. Since there was no broom the owner was quick to respond & ordered one from Amazon. It is a nice & useful area so having the floor clean is a must. The location to the beach & to The Pointe is a short walk. The beach was very clean, not crowded & water was great Very glad we were close to The Point for evening walks & beautiful sunsets. All made for a memorable family vacation!

Love the house and location. Matt and Hilary are so nice and accommodating. Fenced in yard was so helpful for our little dog. So relaxing and the beach is so so close! Second time staying and we will be back!

Great property and great management

We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again. The fenced yard was definitely an asset for our dog, although I would suggest putting mesh or netting around the fence because the pickets are far enough apart that small dogs can squeeze through and some pickets were loose. Fantastic experience!

My family (6 adults and two dogs) really enjoyed our stay at Prior Engagement. Matt and Hilary made the check-in and check-out process easy and we found the rental to be well equipped. We've rented plenty of home on the Outer Banks and this is the first with a complete set of high quality pots and pans! The fenced back yard was wonderful for letting the dogs run and the area under the house was beautiful at night with the hanging lights. The location was ideal and just a short walk to the beach access. The entire family enjoyed our stay! Thanks Matt and Hilary!

Great Location - 7 Minute Walk

It takes about 7 minutes to walk to the beach, there is a hill (once the boardwalk runs out) that you have to make it over. If you're carrying things, or carting them to the beach, be prepared. But, otherwise, it was great! Clean house inside and out.

Great time and great place

We had a wonderful time staying at Prior Engagement. The home and location were beautiful. Very clean home with nice decks and a good sized, fenced in back yard. Very short walk to the beach. About 3 miles from restaurants and a nice Publix and other stores, so they were close, but far enough away that the whole area is very quiet and residential. Beach on the Point is wide and fabulous, and very uncrowded. My amateur photos wouldn’t do it justice. As a goofy aside, we’ve been in the market for a new mattress for a while, and hard to figure out what to get, and my wife and both agreed the one in our bedroom at the house was it. We ordered the top pillow covering already, and still pricing the actual mattress. Little pricey… The owners are so nice and were very helpful with our questions about the area. Highly recommend Prior Engagement to anyone!

Prior Engagement is Excellent

Great location at a great price. This was our first trip to Emerald Isle (beautiful place on the Point). My Mom vacations there and it was her 80th birthday. She wanted all of her kids, grandkids and great grandkids in attendance. My kids/grandkids were set, but my wife and I needed pet friendly and we found Prior Engagement. It was perfect for our needs. The owners/hosts seem like good folks and they checked in on us to make sure that all was good to go. The fenced in yard is a fabulous addition to pet friendly as well. My only beef (and not a big deal) and why I gave 3 stars to check-in and cleanliness has to do with the property management company. I followed the check-in procedures provided by the owners/hosts, however, when I telephoned the property management number to check-in (in accordance with the check-in procedure), I was told that I needed an after hours check-in approval (check-in is 3 PM and it was 3:45) and that I would have to stop at the property management address and enquire as to whether or not an "after hours check-in lock box and pin had been provided". I said, "I just need the door code to the house". The agent got testy with me and informed me that I was incorrect. I said, "Ok, please text me the address of the property management office. Ten mins later, I got a text with the door code to the house. As far as cleanliness is concerned, I had to wash pretty much every kitchen item before it could be used. Not the owners' fault.

Originally from Raleigh, NC we both grew up loving the beach and as a couple have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world but have the most fun when we keep things local. As a career firefighter and clinical researcher our schedules are not typical but always allow for plenty of time to find fun adventures!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

While visiting family in 2017 we came across this home and after a quick walk through we were in love! We jumped at the opportunity to make this our place to relax and bring our dogs, Teddy and Sandy, as often as possible. Since then we have gotten engaged and married here at The Watson House just down Coast Guard Rd. so the name "Prior Engagement" was an easy choice. This is such a special place to us and we are glad to be able to share it with you!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Our favorite part of this property is that it provides lots of entertaining space and room for people. Coming from big families we usually gather around food, so we enjoy the kitchen/ living area and the open space underneath the most, especially when the "Party Lights" are on! Being able to quickly walk to the beach but not be in the main flow of traffic means there is privacy while also getting the best access to the area.
