Phoenix III 3123 Review

I. Check-in: We were assigned to room 3123. Great. Sounds like it's on the third floor so we unloaded our car, with two carts full of luggage, groceries, etc. Went to the 3rd floor and couldn't find 3123. Got back in the elevator, went to the front desk and was told that the 3 in 3123 is for the Phoenix III, and the 12 is for the 12th floor. So, maybe something the check-in attendant could have explained before we searched the third floor. II. Our condo had a disgusting smell of cat urine. III. The kitchen sink was very dirty and the smell from the garbage disposal wreaked of old bad food. V. The shower filled up with water and would not drain which made it hard for our party of three to shower and get ready to go anywhere. VI. Again, the condo had a disgusting smell of cat urine. It was so gross.

needs MAJOR renovations!!

When we initially checked in, Ron was the employee at the front desk. He could not have been less enthused to help us. Never looked me in the face or had a kind word to say. We walked in our room and the first thing we see is the sofa that looks 25 years old. The carpet in the bedroom is absolutely filthy! The icemaker doesn’t work. There was a missing shelf in the refrigerator so you were really limited with your groceries. The unit was stocked with one glass wine glass, The other two were plastic. The curtains in the Family room were torn! The view was beautiful but we will not rent this unit again for the price that we paid!!

Amazing view, clean room

The view from the balcony here was incredible. The beach is so amazing and water was clear. The air conditioner worked great and the washer and dryer were nice to have. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. The place could use some updating overall and the elevators could be a long wait at times too. Whomever designed The grounding system for the pools (both indoor and outdoor) must have made a huge mistake by not using a separately derived system for each. I say this because they close both the outdoor and indoor pools during a storm; this was somewhat disappointing as storms often come and go along the coast in the summer. Overall we were really pleased and would certainly return to Orange Beach in the future.

Amazing Views

We had such an amazing time in this condo. Our family of four was super cozy in the space. The view of the ocean from the balcony was spectacular. If we weren't at the beach, we were sitting on the balcony watching and listening to the waves. It was so peaceful, we didn't want to leave. The only recommendation I would have would be to update the furniture. Everything in the condo was dated. No worse than a hotel though.
