Sorry you had a bad experience with us. You reserved the unit at the last-minute Friday 03/06 at 5:57 pm (our hours are 9-5) so after our office was closed. The next morning prior to our office opening you called VRBO requesting check in instructions. At the point that I got on the phone with you I immediately told you that they were painting the balcony and that we had not confirmed your reservation, nor had we taken any payment from you so we would gladly cancel your reservation with no payment being taken. You all did not want to cancel the reservation, so I offered a discounted rate of only $112.50 per night for the two nights. Once you got here you called VRBO and told them that you were not aware of the problem on the balcony and did not want to pay. That was not correct, so I called and I requested you all leave, and I would refund all your money because clearly you were not happy and did not want to pay. I even gave you names of other places available to rent for your stay. I called VRBO and they stated that they did have it documented that you were told right away about the balcony. VRBO also called you to again state that you could leave and be fully refunded, or you could book another place through them. Again, you refused the offer. The balconies did take longer to dry than the contractor originally estimated and for that I do apologize. We were just completing an exterior renovation and our building is beautiful! Regarding the housekeeping issues, we never received a complaint from you nor did VRBO mention any other issues, but we would have gladly remedied the issues you may have found. But you still had great views from Floor to Ceiling Sliding Glass Doors in the living room and a double set in the Master Bedroom, as well as easy access to the beach with a free set of beach chairs and an umbrella as well as a heated pool to swim in.
