La maison est située dans la Via Maestra dei Villaggi, Tovere, une fraction supérieure d'Amalfi, à 15 minutes en voiture du centre d'Amalfi. Nous sommes sur un ancien chemin (Via Maestra dei Villaggi) qui part de Tovere et se termine à Vettica (environ 4 km) et porte tous le même nom. Nous sommes sur une route municipale piétonne, à 20 pas de la route principale (via Tobulum) et Google ne la reconnaît pas comme via Maestra dei Villaggi.Nous sommes dans une position extrêmement panoramique, exposée au soleil avec une vue magnifique sur la mer, c'est composé de : une chambre avec chambre avec balcon panoramique, une chambre avec 2 lits simples qui mène à une grande terrasse bien équipée de 25 m2 équipée de 2 bains de soleil, table, chaises et store. Grand salon/cuisine avec canapé-lit double qui mène à un deuxième balcon, 2 salles de bains (une avec baignoire/douche et l'autre avec douche).

Clean, cozy house with an incredible view.

Our host was more than accommodating and very responsive. The place was clean and quiet. We would definitely return for a second stay. Beautiful view of the coast.

Lovely Place

The host family is so supportive and very helpful. I felt like I was visiting one of my friend's places. It's sitting in an awesome location with a scenic view.

Perfect escape in Costiera amalfitana

Loved everything about this place! The hosts were very welcoming, helpful, friendly. Very well located between Amalfi and Positano. Splendid view. We were offered the option to have a homemade dinner on the day we arrived, which was amazing and sooo good! We look forward to visit this place again! Highly recommend!

Beautiful! But tricky logisitics

This apartment was the most beautiful space my wife and I have ever lived in. Something to keep in mind though is to make sure to have a good idea of the public transportation (the owner is helpful for bus schedules), but Tovere can feel a little distant and isolated from Amalfi. The area is so pretty, calm and quiet. Would recommend staying here! Just know there’s a learning curve getting to and from Amalfi.

Loved the location. Bed too hard in 1st bedroom. 2nd bedroom on 2nd floor beds were great. Views awesome. Owner very sweet. All in all a beautiful location

Beautiful Vacation Retreat

Barbara and Rosario are the best possible hosts! We had a great time staying at this property, it was excellently situated facing the sea. We spent much of our time on the balcony watching the boats along the coast and enjoying the warm sun. The mini-market in Furore supplied all our cooking needs and we made and ate excellent Italian dinners. Loved the proximity to the buses to Amalfi and enjoyed not having to drive.

Dreamlike apartment amazing stay

The location is so beautiful and overlooks the entire ocean it’s surreal. There are individual three balconies/lookouts each with an amazing view of the ocean. It’s perfectly situated between amalfi and positano which made it easy to get around(also pretty near ravello). Several nights we cooked dinner and breakfast in the house which was great. There’s a local market and restaurants nearby. Barbara is a great and accommodating host who was very helpful. We could not thank her enough for the amazing stay

Very nice space with spectacular views

I loved my time there .. The bed was firm for sure, but did not take away from my appreciation of the apartment. I do think the stairs might be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Barbara was a great help in figuring out transportation to the town of Amalfi and back, Bit to far to walk to town. I'd stay again now that I know how to enjoy this space and settle in.

Amazing views!

We were pleased to take in the views! Morning coffee was a particular joy. We were proficient at driving in the switchbacks of the Amalfi coast, so this worked for us! We spent an amazing day with boat ride around Capri; and an amazing day in Ravello/Amalfi. Unit is large and has privacy for the other couple ( unit on 2nd floor) up a spiral stair with rooftop sundeck. Beds creaky and crazy hard.

Great views over the Amalfi Coast

Barbara's place has unbeatable views over the Amalfi Coast. Situated high up winding roads, there are two balconies and a gorgeous terrace. Inside, the place is fully furbished in a taste that is not to everyone's liking... Old pictures, old furniture, hard mattresses... and some makeshift renovations in the upper bathroom and kitchen make it that this is not more than a 3* accommodation.

Dear guest, unfortunately not everyone appreciates the ancient and precious art of wooden furniture or the author's paintings that I have at home, we are not talking about old stuff as you pointed out. Obviously, a person's taste is certainly linked to his culture, history and art of his land, which not everyone can boast. The house is large, it is a structure from the 1700s, it was renovated 50 years ago but on the Amalfi Coast certain standards of aesthetics must be maintained such as the wooden window frames which are periodically restored, the bathrooms are new with handcrafted ceramics from Vietri sul mare and I don't understand what your disappointment is referring to. The kitchen has some problems with an accessory but this is due to careless use by some guests. The rooms and furnishings are clearly visible from the photos of the announcement. Great set-up with magnificent view

Property in line with description. Barbara was very helpful specially with the road closed going down to Amalfi due to bushes’ fire. The beds are very firm, not confortable for everybody and the bathroom on second floor is very small and would need to be updated but very nice property with a great view over the ocean.

Lots of steps from street up to villa, then even more from the door! Garden wasn’t accessible, however balconies and roof top terrace were comfortable with beautiful views! The kitchen could have offered more useful options. There was also some mold on walls that caused congestion. Overall a nice villa

Dear guest thank you for your time. access to the property is 2 from the road, one with only 20 steps, the other with 40 steps, the directions given were for those with 20 steps, which knowing the formation of the coast are not many, you probably made the second access by mistake . regarding the garden, the property was not equipped with one as it has balconies and terraces, in fact it is not present in the description or photos of the property but it is supplied for the HOUSE ON THE LOWER FLOOR. REGARDING MOLD, IT IS CLEANED EVERY YEAR AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON. THE CONTINUOUS USE OF THE SHOWERS WITH THE DOORS CLOSED CAN LEAD TO THE OCCURRENCE OF THE PROBLEM, YOU HAVEN'T MENTIONED THE BEAUTIFUL VIEW, THE FREE PARKING ON THE STREET AND THE BUS STOP A FEW METERS AWAY

The Hosts are very helpful and answered all our questions,The views are amazing but the top terrasse needs a some shade to be used as the sun is hot and we couldn’t enjoy the views from up there.but had breakfast as diner on the main terrasse. Beds were not great but ok.Location is ok 18 min drive to Amalfi beach or port. 30 min to Ravello which is amazing to visit 1 hour 15 min to Sorrento and 40 min to Positano. Over all there could be some upgrades to the apartment

Serious issues with listing. Location miles away from where it was supposed to be. 3 minute walk to beach actually 53 minutes. Power went out at night and did not come back. Appliances like TV, toaster, microwave, electric kettle were all missing. As promised bed was hard and it had Great views!

Amalfi getaway

Great communication with Barbara and she was on time to meet us to show us the property. The property is perfectly situated high in the hills on the Amalfi coast with incredible views and a fabulous terrace with sun trap which we very much enjoyed. Barbara was really helpful with any queries we had. A few notes on our side - we thought it could use a bit of a refresh in terms of equipment and supplies and there were a few issues with hot water. The larger terrace is on the top floor and would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues so worth bearing in mind. Thanks so much Barbara for our stay with you.

Views, Views, Views!!!

This place was large and the setup of the rooms were perfect. The rooftop patio was a great place to hang out any time of day. The neighborhood is rather quiet, although there was a bit of construction going on when we visited. Not too disturbing though. We found the location to be easy to find and the host gave us great directions with photos. As other reviewers had mentioned, we did find the beds to be a bit uncomfortable. Also, the place could use a few investment upgrades. We did not have use of the freezer, because it needed to be defrosted. There was also rust all around the door of the freezer and the door did not function properly. However, given the opportunity, we would definitely stay here again.

My dad was so hard that it was almost impossible to sleep and made my back back hurt very badly

The property manager was very cooperative and easy to communicate with but when I told her that the bed was too hard ( I honestly think it was just a box springs, not a mattress) and was hurting my back, she said ‘ you are alone with this problem’.

dear guest, when you informed me that the mattress was uncomfortable for you, I simply replied that the mattresses are subjective, it depends on any pathologies that the guest may have. I did not understand what you mean by there was no mattress but a spring mattress ... Dear guest, I noticed that you had brought your own pillows and I saw that you had left one in the bed at head height and another at leg height , this lets me assume that you already have back problems, so I don't think you can give objective judgments on the mattress,

Beautiful view. Clean…AC great…. Could sit on balcony for days. —advised washing machine…it is not in property and have to arrange owner to come at her convenience.. —bus schedule is very confusing but when we figured it out was great. Person nearby who took us to town. Owner offered to take us last day…would be helpful to have written schedule not just screenshots of schedule. Owner tried to explain but language differences made it hard — yes previous reviews spoke about hard beds…extremely hard…put comforters under sheet. Helped some Overall great experience. If bed was softer we would stay again now that we understand bus schedule.

dear guest, thank you for the excellent review and for appreciating the context. Regarding the free use of the washing machine, it is limited to what gets dirty during your stay in my accommodation, it is not correct to want to use the washing machine to wash mountains of dirty laundry from previous stays. There are people who activate the washing machine to wash only three underwear and not lost is correct. Next year there will be a washing machine with a coin mechanism so it will be accessible to all for a fee. Bus timetables are provided directly on whatsapp and explained in detail by me. I think that few hosts waste as much time giving detailed explanations as I provide them. The mattress is orthopedic which is why it is hard. Sincerely Barbara

The property has excellent views. However, we faced the following issues: 1. The place is up on the hill and has limited transportation options. One bus route is close to the unit but the frequency is low. On top, there is no bus service between 2 pm and 7 pm. 2. The hot water system didn’t function well and so we ended up with cold water shower most days. 3. Taxis are expensive getting in and out from the location. Taxis do not adhere to meter fares. On the other hand, the host representative was extremely helpful and would respond to messages quickly.

Avons passé un bon séjour

Très bon accueil, l'appartement est bien situé pour découvrir la côte. Nous conseillons vivement d'avoir une voiture à disposition sur place. Possibilité de parking devant la maison sans problème . L'appartement était très propre et correspondait à la description. Si nous avions disposé d'une meilleure literie, nous aurions mis 5 étoiles . Nous conseillons cet appartement .
