We're Jonathan and Marty Clark—Virginia natives who followed our love for the Outer Banks all the way to Kitty Hawk, NC. What started as a dream turned into a lifestyle, and today we’re lucky to blend our passions and personalities into everything we do.

Marty runs Zen & Zip, a vibrant retail shop in Duck, while Jonathan leads a Real Estate Media business focused on helping homes and properties shine. Between us, we bring years of hands-on experience, relationship-building, and a commitment to showing up fully in every project.

What we’re creating here is more than just a place to stay—it’s a space designed for couples and solo travelers to truly reconnect, unwind, and feel at home. It’s not just about where you lay your head; it’s about the experience.

We began designing the space around the bathroom, knowing how important comfort is—especially on chilly, rainy winter evenings. A freestanding soaking tub invites you to slow down, paired with locally crafted bath salts from Mission Bliss. Afterward, step into a soothing rainfall shower, then wrap yourself in a cozy robe to fully relax after a day of exploring or beach-going.

Next came the outdoor shower. A must in the Outer Banks—but often overlooked when it comes to design. Ours is thoughtfully crafted to feel intentional, clean, and spacious. It’s a work in progress we’re proud of, and one we continue to improve with every season.

To make travel easier, we encourage you to pack light. We provide high-end beach cruisers, beach chairs, an umbrella, a backpack cooler, and beach towels—everything you need for a carefree day in the sun.

New for August 2025: We've added a private hot tub, tucked under the carport to create a quiet, secluded haven for relaxation—perfect after a long day in the sun.
