Le chalet

Le chalet dispose de 2 chambres, 1 salle de bain, une cuisine complète, un salon et un porche grillagé. Une chambre a un lit complet et l'autre chambre a 3 lits (une reine et deux lits jumeaux). Il y a aussi deux lits jumeaux supplémentaires situés dans l'ancien hangar à bateaux qui a été converti en dortoir. Il y a un foyer sur place où le bois de chauffage est fourni, ainsi qu'un gril à gaz disponible pour utilisation.

Notre chalet est à seulement environ 25 pieds de l'eau, vous offrant une vue magnifique sur le lac. Le cadre est très privé, car vous ne pouvez pas voir les voisins de chaque côté de vous en raison des forêts. L'eau est baignable avec un beau fond sablonneux. Il y a quelques roseaux du milieu à la fin de l'été qui entourent la zone du quai.

Un bateau ponton de 20 pieds avec moteur 4 temps 40HP amarré au chalet est inclus dans le prix de location. Il s'agit d'un ponton de pêche / croisière et fonctionnera bien dans les deux cas.

Columbus Lake est un lac de plus de 600 acres situé dans Sugar Camp Wisconsin. Le lac n'a pas d'accès «public», il n'a donc pas de forte pression de pêche ni de trafic de bateaux comme la plupart des autres lacs. Le lac est abondant en dorés, panfish, perches, brochets et maskinongés. Le rivage est un fond sablonneux, avec quelques roseaux entourant le quai situé au chalet. .

Absolutely gorgeous view of the lake. Enjoyed watching the ducks swim along the shore, the eagle soar high above, and hearing the distance call of the loon. We fished from the pier and took the pontoon for a pleasure cruise along with some more fishing time. Fried up our catch for a delicious meal. Such a relaxing stay.

It was a very nice time. The lake was nice and the area was so quiet. The fire pit area was VERY nice and the beds were comfortable. The pier was very close to the cabin and the pontoon was great to fish from. The updated kitchen and bathroom was nice. The host was very helpful. We would stay there again.

We had a nice family vacation here! The property is very quiet, prefect for relaxing. The cabin itself was clean and more spacious than other ones we have stayed in up North. The boat was awesome and we were able to catch quite a few walleye as well as some pike and perch in the deeper areas of the lake.

We really enjoyed the privacy of the cabin, the pretty setting and the fact there is very little traffic on the lake. Great having a pontoon at our disposal! The owner was terrific to work with and very accommodating!

I love coming here. The cabin is great, the firepit and all the wood provided, the grill, lots of land, its perfect! Brett and Andrew are great with communication and are willing to help if anything arises. Its peaceful. Everything you want to get away!

Brett is a great host. Always available if you need anything. Loved this cabin! It had everything I needed and the beds were extremely comfortable. The views are fantastic. Very peaceful. I cant wait to come back.

Beautiful Relaxing Stay

This cabin is very nice and has a beautiful view of the lake. The boat was great and offered us the opportunity to take late afternoon cruises around the lake. Fishing was ok but it was August so as expected, especially with low water levels. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

This is the second time here. This place is awesome. My parents had a cottage on this lake a long time ago. Great to show the grandchildren everything about the lake and history. And of course the fish. Hope to have a chance to go back again.

Nice getaway

We had a nice stay. The weather was not the greatest during our 4 day stay, so we didnt get to be outside as much as we had hoped. The pontoon was great the few short times we took it out. We enjoyed the eagle river children's museum one of the rainy days. The cabin was exactly as described and Brett was great at answering any questions during our stay. Lake was very peacefull. Overall it was nice getaway!

Loved It

The cottage is very nice and comfy. Had electricity, hot water, a nice kitchen, a nice deck and it came with a pontoon boat.There is good cellular reception there as well. Everything was clean the owner was always available if I had questions. We caught a bunch of panfish right off the pier and had a great time in the water. Would highly reccomend this place to anyone.

Great place to enjoy the lake

Clean wonderful 2 bedroom cabin with a screened in porch and large fire pit all with great views of the lake. Lots of wood and great outdoor chairs. The pontoon was in great shape and just right for cruising the lake and fishing the hot spots. Nice size lake to fish with little traffic and no public access. The kitchen had a quality stove/oven and full size refrigerator with freezer. It was just my brother and I and we had the best time! Conveniently located near Eagle River and Sugar Camp with good restaurants and bars. Highly recommend for a couple or small family.

R & R up north

The place is so quiet, peaceful and clean, also with a good sighting of wildlife like deer, ducks and bald eagles. All in all it's a place that's recommendable to go to if your looking for some privacy and a time to just chill and rest. It's not only me and my wife who enjoyed but I can honestly say our pups enjoyed all the more since they had lots of outdoor activities like long walks, running, play on the water and boating. Shout out to Brett for allowing us to rent his place. Thank you.

A week to remember!!!!

This was our second stay with the first occurring in October 2022. Uncooperative weather that year caused fishing issues but this year the weather was fantastic and the fishing was fantastic. Caught many fish off the boat but caught the biggest (walleye and perch) right off the pier. The fall colors got better each day during our stay. One minor issue was corrected by Brett and staff within minutes. We will be back next year. One minor suggestion...add non-slip strips in the bath tub as it is slippery and caused fall concerns for our 88-year old mother. Other than that, a great place to stay, relax and enjoy the north woods!!

Family Vacation

This was our first time staying at this cabin. The location of the cabin is perfect. You are secluded from everyone and it really feels like you are alone which is great. The pontoon was very fun. We used to fish out of most of the week. We caught a ton of fish from the pontoon and off of the dock. The beach area is very shallow and sandy. There are weeds in the swimming area, but not too bad. The pictures online are not accurate. The furniture is different and to be honest, uncomfortable. Thankfully, the mosquitoes were not a problem for us. Weather could have been better, but we made the best of our stay. Communication with Brett was outstanding. We didn't communicate much as everything was pretty good.
