Enchanting cabin with 3 porches surrounded by wooded land 20 min to city & Zilkr

Located in Austin, this adorable cabin is a dream. With 1 cozy bedroom featuring a queen bed and a “window wall” guests can unwind in comfort. The bathroom boasts a luxurious bathtub with a view of the woods and has its own porch with a fabulous view. There is no stand up shower but you won’t want it with that great tub. There are additional spaces - a charming living room with a futon and tv and a cozy office with a desk and short twin bed. To enjoy the quiet and beauty of the outdoors there are two porches, a front porch with seating and a screened in back porch with a hanging “egg chair” from which you can watch the birds and the foxes and deer walk by. A full kitchen to prepare great meals with a cozy eating nook for meals and card games. It’s in a very safe neighborhood with parking in the driveway. You are only a 20 minute drive from downtown and Zilker Park/ACL. This is NOT a party house! No large noisy gatherings please. It’s a great place to relax and rejuvenate.

The cabin is a jewel and perfect for a couple. Our host, Helen, was friendly, helpful, and available to answer any question we had about how something worked, for example. This property has all modern features and looks out on lovely Texas Hill Country views from one screened in porch and a deck off of the bathing porch. The queen size bed is comfortable and every room is thoughtfully appointed. You can see the care put into its every detail. The space does not have a standing shower, as it says in the listing, but the bathing porch is charming and the modern, freestanding bath is roomy enough for two. The bathroom arrangement is different in that the bathing room is on one side of the upstairs bedroom while the toilet room is on the other side of the bedroom. The layout works and the view from the bath is expansive. There is only one toilet/bathroom and it is upstairs. The house has everything you need for a longer stay than just a weekend. Helen has paid attention to every detail to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

The compact kitchen with the banquet-style eating area is to the immediate right.

I recently retired. I enjoy an occasional trip. While I’m gone, I love sharing my home. Newly built in 2022 it was designed with all the special touches I wanted. living in a wooded area I love the view from the three porches. My 1st cup of coffee in the “egg chair“ watching the foxes and deer walk by is the best way to start the day. And bathing in a deep soaking tub watching the sunset is a perfect way to end the day.
Looking at the surrounding land, you would think I was out in the countryside, but only 20 minutes from downtown Austin. It is my slice of heaven and I love sharing it.

One look at the pictures will tell you why I chose this area. Amazing sunset, beautiful wooded area, quiet neighborhood… all that and still easy access to Austin events and local businesses.

It’s a custom home uniquely designed for comfort and relaxation. Newly built it has all the accommodations, but it’s a simple house, not a smart house, so it’s easy to stay here. It does have Wi-Fi and TV, cable, but no need to download apps to raise the windows shades or turn on the light.
The cabin design makes it a place you want to settle into.
