Newly renovated 3BR/2BA chalet with stunning Shawangunk Ridge views. Wrap-around deck with BBQ, vaulted ceilings, dedicated workspace, jetted soaking tub. Minutes to Minnewaska & Mohonk trails. Your Hudson Valley escape, just 2 hours from NYC.
Step onto the spacious deck, coffee in hand, and take in sweeping views of the Shawangunk Ridge as morning light spills across the meadows below. This newly renovated two-floor chalet in Kerhonkson delivers exactly what you came to the Hudson Valley for: space to breathe, trails to explore, and that rare feeling of being completely unplugged from the city.
The Space
This elegant yet inviting retreat opens to a sun-filled living area where soaring vaulted ceilings and oversized windows frame views of rolling Hudson Valley countryside in every direction. Hardwood floors gleam throughout, and carefully curated furnishings create a space that feels both refined and relaxed. The open-concept living room invites you to sink into the comfortable sofa with plush pillows and cozy throw blankets. Flip on the Smart TV to catch up on your favorite show, or switch on the electric fireplace and curl up with a good book in one of the multiple seating areas. Reading lamps dot the space, and a large ottoman offers extra lounging room. Sliding doors open directly to the deck, so inside and outside living blend seamlessly here.
Kitchen & Dining
The fully equipped kitchen flows into the dining space, making it easy to cook together and stay connected. You`ll find everything you need: gas stove and oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, hot water kettle, full-size refrigerator and freezer, and dishwasher. Ample counter space, quality pots and pans, a well-stocked spice rack, plus all the plates, glasses, and silverware you need mean you can prepare anything from quick breakfasts to elaborate dinners. Gather at the farmhouse dining table (seating for 4) or pull up to the kitchen island (seating for 2) for casual meals. When weather allows, take dinner outside. Fire up the BBQ grill on the deck and dine al fresco with those countryside views as your backdrop.
Sleeping Arrangements: 3 Bedrooms
After a day exploring the trails, three comfortable bedrooms await.
The primary bedroom on the upper floor features a queen-size bed with premium mattress and linens, plus views that make waking up a pleasure. Two additional bedrooms on the first floor each offer full-size beds with the same quality bedding. Every bedroom includes closets with hangers and shelves, nightstands with reading lamps, comfortable seating areas, and full-size mirrors. All the comforts of home.
Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms ensure everyone has space to get ready. One features a jetted bathtub with shower, perfect for soaking tired muscles after a long hike. The other offers a walk-in shower with modern tile. Both are stocked with fresh towels, hair dryer, and essential toiletries so you can pack light.
Office & Workspace
Need to get some work done? The dedicated office on the upper floor has you covered with a proper workspace: desk, ergonomic chair, lamp, and even a printer. A cozy reading nook rounds out the space. High-speed WiFi keeps you connected throughout the house, making this an ideal spot for remote workers who want to combine productivity with mountain air.
The Deck
No Hudson Valley retreat is complete without outdoor living space, and this one delivers. The wrap-around deck offers multiple seating areas: lounge chairs for lazy afternoons, a dining setup for meals with a view, and front-row seats to stunning sunsets over the mountains. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and birds. Deer, hawks, and songbirds are regular visitors to the surrounding meadows.
Your Hudson Valley Basecamp
Location is everything, and this chalet puts you minutes from the region`s best attractions. Minnewaska State Park Preserve offers iconic cliff trails, swimming at Lake Awosting, and some of the most photographed overlooks in the Catskills. Mohonk Preserve is even closer. Head out for morning bouldering at the Trapps or an afternoon stroll on the historic carriage roads. Beyond the trails, explore the charming towns nearby: New Paltz for farm-to-table dining, craft breweries, and boutique shopping; Kingston for arts, history, and waterfront dining; Stone Ridge and Accord for antique shops and local farms. The Wallkill Valley Rail Trail connects hikers and cyclists to miles of car-free paths through beautiful countryside.

In the evenings, you may notice an abundance of insects, some of which may occasionally find their way indoors. Be cautious with open windows and doors. Additionally, black bears are often attracted by food smells and are known for their curiosity. It’s best to avoid leaving food unattended on decks, porches, or grills, as bears have been known to investigate and even open unlocked cars in search of snacks.
