The Eagles Nest-Nestle In & Get Cozy
Stay on the second floor of this 1880 home located in the 4th largest Amish Community in the United States. Nestled in this historic small town of Mesopotamia, is a unique New England style circle called "The Commons". Take our sidewalk, walk past the original 1940's Filling Station and into the park now boasting a beautiful winding walkway for locals and visitors. As you pass each home, look back at where it all started in 1798. Amongst the owners now, are Yankee and Amish living side by side. The guest profile should match one of the people booking and staying at the home per Vrbo.

Please read through our listing about guest access, interaction with guests and other details to note to ensure you know arrival/departure information and so you are aware of any rules. No chores here! But we do want you to know a few things to keep you safe and our home in good working order. Thanks!
The guest profile should match one of the people booking and staying at the home per Vrbo. No other guests should stay at the home unless they are in your original booking. A child is considered 1 guest.
The century homes in Mesopotamia are special to all the locals as they love our history and preserving it. Many locals have sat on our front porch in the past while enjoying the day. The home holds many memories, and we can't wait to share our little town with you. If you are an early bird, you'll see the hustle and bustle of mornings as everyone is getting ready and off to work. Then later again as people start to arrive home in the early afternoon. The evenings can be quiet, or you'll hear the clip clop of horse and buggies. Then the next morning a nearby puppy barking at the free-range chickens and the crow of the rooster.
Please message us through Vrbo messages with questions beforehand or concerns during your stay.

HÎte : Crys
Iâm Crys, and I love welcoming guests to our cozy corner of rural Ohio. Hosting is more than just providing a place to stay, itâs about sharing the history, charm, and community that make this area special. I take pride in keeping my space clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, so you can relax and feel right at home. Whether youâre here for a peaceful getaway, to explore Amish country, or to step back in time at the oldest general store in Ohio, Iâm happy to help with local tips and personal touches that make your stay memorable.
Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
Mesopotamia, Ohio is a charming township located in the northwestern corner of Trumbull County, with a population of 3,404 people as of the 2020 census. Named after the ancient region of Mesopotamia, it is the only township with this name in Ohio. The villageâs historic district, known as âthe Commons,â is particularly notable for its 28 buildings, with 21 constructed before the Civil War, earning it a place on the National Register of Historic Places. Mesopotamia is home to part of one of Ohioâs largest Amish settlements and features the End of the Commons General Store, established in 1840 and recognized as Ohioâs oldest continuously operating general store. This historic store offers visitors a glimpse into 19th-century rural life, selling everything from penny candy to handmade Amish fry pies, while the surrounding area provides an authentic experience of Amish culture with horse-drawn buggies and scenic countryside just 40 minutes east of Cleveland.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
