Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family loved staying in kitschy cabin 11! The rooms were clean, comfortable and loaded with fun, old-timey decor. The pontoon, bonfire pit with chairs, and onsite restaurant with outdoor games made for a truly relaxing summer holiday. We even rented paddle boards for a day, which was a big hit with our college-aged kids. We will be back!

One cabin was on little round and one cabin was on the big round. With a pontoon boats we got to experience the Uniques of both lake. Both cabins were beautiful with Northwoods decor. And the staff made sure that everything in the cabin was there to accommodate the big people and the little people. This is our eighth time staying there and it has never been a disappointment. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin again was very dirty. Beds very old extremely uncomfortable.Towels were stiff and smelled. Furniture couches stained and worn and filled with past guests garbage and wrappers and crumbs. Sofabed should be diposed of, disgusting and worn out. Also no bedding for it. Floors not washed and rugs not shook or vacuumed. Bathrooms were not sanity and far from cleaned properly-hairs, mold/brown spots throughout. Jacuuzi jets dont work. Filthy dishes, coffee pot disgusting, pots and pans terrible shape! No soap to attempt to clean a dish! Cobwebs and spiders covered back door exit/entry to porch. Dead batteries in TV remote. The pontoon boat was terribly worn! Ripped cushions, moldy dirty lifevests, canopy ripped and broken, no ladder, fuel gauge broken, beatup prop, insufficient ropes to dock and tie down! There isn’t WiFi either on the property. The fireworks display was FANTASTIC!! Beautiful to see! Just a shame the property is so neglected! Also a shame property Manager Mandie was so very very rude and unprofessional over the phone. Never again Grand Pines!!

Need longer dock lines for landing the boat!Also would have been nice to know the exact location of the cabin- we pretty much had a view of the parking lot for the bar/restaurant next door. Did appreciate that it was within walking distance to the bar/restaurant next door! Would stay at Grand Pines again- next time we would book the fishing guide for our first day to figure out the lake and look for a cabin with a lakefront view or wooded view!

Grand Pines Cabin 11

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Grand Pines on big Round Lake. This was our second time staying at the resort. The location is very convenient to many amenities and a short drive from Hayward. The cabin is well equipped and nicely decorated. Furniture could use some updating as the bed mattresses were not very comfortable. Overall a great stay. It is a bonus to be able to walk to Powell's Lakeside Restaurant and Bar and enjoy the view on the outdoor patio. Check in and checkout is very smooth. We invited family up for a stay and everyone had a very enjoyable stay. Having a nice pontoon included is a huge bonus. I would highly recommend Grand Pines.

Grand Pines is a Great Get-Away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Staying at Grand Pines is always pleasant. We have stayed at many different cabins on the property and have enjoyed each one. Cabin 11 was a wonderful experience. It isn't lake front but we could see the lake out the front windows. We always enjoy the unique decorations and layout of each cabin. We walked to dinner at Powell's and enjoyed trying the new menu items. The use of the pontoon boat is always a fun activity for fishing and just riding around the lake. We visit Grand Pines yearly and look forward to staying in a cabin and exploring Hayward.

Nice location, very little service

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I loved the site, the cabin was clean with sufficient space for the five of us. It is advertised to sleep 8 but that would be seriously cramped. I cannot recommend the customer service, unfortunately. No one was available on site, if any staff was onsite we didn't know who they were. There isn't an office to buy supplies like charcoal or wood as the website indicates. There wasn't any coffee and very little dish soap, these items were dropped in the three seasons room after we texted or left a VM. After we left, we realized we might have left something behind in the cabin. We texted and left a VM with staff to ask if anything was found but there hasn't been follow up. I also just received an email about an additional charge on my credit card. It doesn't say what the charge is for and it is from a "Do Not Reply" email address. While we loved the location it isn't quite enough to offset the inconveniences, discrepancies with information on the website and the customer service experience.
