No complaints whatsoever! View was perfect, unit was clean, very comfortable recliner, responsive management.....nothing bad to say at all. Wish i could live there!

Although those stays have been wonderful, we were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness this year. The carpeting was dirty and the furniture was stained. We are hoping this was a temporary problem and will be taken care of.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We where of course worried about the red tide. But from the moment we arrived and until the moment we left everything was amazing. The condo and the view was wonderful. The pool was refreshing and the walk to the beach was only a few steps away. The water was clear the entire time we where there. The walk across to John’s Pass was short and we enjoyed the shops & restaurants. Since we are members of the VFW that was a plus. We would recommend this unit to others and I did bring some brochures home with us. Sandy Shores was the perfect location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The building itself needs alot if TLC. The elevator is very slow, hit and dirty. It broke down twice while we were there. The shower by gate coming in off Beach doesn't work. The walls, especially 5th floor are in need of a good cleaning. The room itself was ok. The loveseat was broke, not enought pots and pans, unfortunately there was a cockroach in the kitchen.

Reviewer Comments: Just stayed in this unit for the 3rd time..the furniture is in desperate need of an update.. the beds are really uncomfortable.. the pull out couch has a spring sticking out and the unit does not supply bedding for the couch..the refrigerator light bulb was out.. no biggie.. BUT the AC went out twice! First time it was fixed in the afternoon.. we went out for dinner and it was out again when we came back.. they do not have 24 hour maintenance and their only suggestion was finding us a different unit.. we declined as we were checking out next day so we suffered through the night with the help of our own fans..the unit is basic.. dingy at best.. lots of rust on anything metal but you cannot beat the location and the views.. there is only one elevator which is HOT and SLOW.. there are two rusty luggage carts and a couple of grocery carts to help you lug your stuff up.. it is not glamorous but as I said you can’t beat the location.. just think people need to know what to expect!

Disappointed, two cockroaches in the condo freaked me out. Reported it to the office at Sandy Shores they said that is normal after they do their usual maintenance/ bug spray. Curtains need to be cleaned/changes dirty. The couch needs to be changes not at all comfortable. Did like the recliner(the best) and the view of the gulf was great. In all the years (6) we have been coming to Maderia Beach this was the most disappointing. We always stayed at Beach Place but for 2024 couldn’t” get a condo so we opted for Sandy Shores, the elevator terrible wait time terrible. I would rate Beach Place much better although some of there condos have there own issues. There is a lot of much needed improvement fr the owners to up date furniture/decorations in both places.

Perfect location across from John’s pass...we walked over to eat one night and a couple times to shop or to grab coffee or ice cream! Condo was close to beach which was great! Pool was big and we always saw pool guy cleaning the chairs and the deck from sand! Very secure with codes to get on elevator and to pool and beach. Super quiet bc sits back off road so you don’t hear all the traffic to John’s pass. Would definitely rent again!!

Many, many restaurants, bars and shopping in John's Pass right across the street.Great Sunday breakfast across the street at the VFW open to the public. Bamboo Beach Bar, good entertainment, drinks (walk to). Walk over to the drawbridge and watch the bridge lift, neat. Lots of beach fishing and 3 weddings on beach while we were there. Friendly staff.

The beds were comfortable, the pool and surrounding chairs and tables were always clean and tidy. This is a very nice unit. The only complaints we had was the lack of kitchen supplies such as a crockpot and mixer - for those who like to cook on their vacation and the elevator was very slow and could use updated.Otherwise, great stay!

People there friendly!TV situation was not the best. Only cable, with no box, so no guide and hard to change channels. Had maintenance there for that issue, great guy! The best things were the location across the street from John's Pass, no car needed, and the view was crazy beautiful! Beds comfy. Clean. Good recliner! Wifi good. Could use some new fry pans. Used grill, also clean. Wish they would offer a repeat guest discount but will stay again. John's Pass was a great destination walk each day.
