Beautiful Amelia Island townhome with pool & tennis, central AC

This lovely oceanfront townhouse is located in Summer Beach Village on Amelia Island, offering a picturesque view of the Atlantic with wonderful sunrises. Take a stroll along the beach or a relaxing dip in the pool. This home has a fully equipped kitchen with combined living and dining areas, Including all new living room furniture, a washer and dryer, and a cable TV. The ocean-view primary bedroom is located upstairs and has a king-size bed and a walk-in shower. The upstairs guest bedroom has a queen bed with its own private bath featuring a tub/shower combo. This suite's entrance is on the second level, with about 16 stairs to the front entry and about 18 located inside the unit.

The owners of this condo are members of the private Golf Club & Beach Club. Guests can enjoy the resort amenities which include:
‱ Private Pool - Non Heated note: no fitness club access
‱ Tennis & Pickle Ball Courts - MUST call the club to schedule court time
‱ Private Beach Area-5000 Summer Beach Blvd complimentary towels, chairs/umbrellas small fee. Food & Beverage concession. (Memorial Day - Labor Day)
‱ Access to the Ritz Carlton's beautiful oceanfront golf course: Must call to schedule tee time.
‱ The Amenity card fee is $125 + tax and applicable fees.

location and essentials but some improvements suggested

Reasonable property but expect some issues. location nice, and property clean Kitchen stocked with essentials washing machine and dryer/dishwasher worked. TV and internet downstairs worked. Nice pictures on wall some issues to consider for improvement: Major issues - Porch with drainage/condensation issue always wet despite no rain. making less desirable even on sunny days. Stairs with metal edge without carpet. other items: with spotty wifi, upstairs, tub stoppers, and window cranks sent to the agency.

Reviewer Comments: The unit was dirty mainly the stairs and also the ac would never cool the up stairs I did notice a better change in the temp when the unit next to us or under us had they ac on because it actually helped us a great deal also this unit needs a break and some fixed up on wear and tear also very unit has a problem with moisture some how I really wasn’t pleased with my unit this year but I handled the card I was delt made the best of it and cleaned the unit myself when moved in no privacy really in this unit and also need more curtains in the bottom to block out the sun

Very nice property

Great location, view and super efficient check in/check out process. Read a past review and did take screw top wine bottles as we also did not find an opener. There are a lot of good wines with screw tops! Make sure you take the Amelia River cruise trip, the one around Cumberland Island is great. A very relaxing 5 days!

Definitely a favorite!

Property managers were responsive and provided check in and check out detailed information. The place was clean and location was excellent. Highly recommended and would definitely go back in the future!

The beds are comfortable and the towels are great. Parking is close. It's an easy walk to the beach. The instructions from management were very clear and easy to follow. Very minor issues: There are no curtains on the door in the living room. The kitchen could use a can opener and extra hot pads.

Reviewer Comments: We were on Amelia Island for our sons beachfront wedding next door at the golf club and wanted to stay within walking distance on the beach.Overall our stay was excellent, it’s pretty quiet there and we had no real complaints. Seemed to be mostly families and retired people.So wonderful to be able to walk right out and enjoy the beach.We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful condo in great location

Our family had a wonderful stay. The condo was very comfortable with a good layout. Perfect low key family friendly community. The reason I gave it 4 stars: we didn’t receive a gate key and there were ants in the unit. Minor things that could easily be fixed. When we left, I called the rental company and let them know about the ants. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Not Ready for Prime Time

The Management company closes at 5, and permits check in at 4, limiting the window to actually talk to someone. at check in. The signage for the management firm is subdued, probably by zoning law. I do not recommend trying to find the office or condo at night for the first time.. The good news is that the refrigerator fish odor mentioned in earlier reviews is gone. The kitchen is de minimus. I had to buy a cork screw and a can opener while there. The dining room table seats six, but there were not enough place settings to go around., never mind matching. The thermostat is off, making the condo cooler than it should be. There is a flight of stairs to the condo, then a steep set of stairs to the bedrooms. We left our suitcases on the living room floor and took up what we needed. Being a town house, there is no one above. There is a unit below, which we could not hear. However the walls between units do not have the greatest amount of sound proofing. Light sleepers take note and bring ear plugs. There is a very nice swimming pool, one of several in the complex. Each is dedicated to a set of condos, to avoid crowding.. They are big enough for lap swimming , when not too crowded. The beach itself is popular and very accessible. Parking can be an issue. Parking close to the condo can be a problem on weekends and at night. The condo is located on the south end of the island. Most retail and nightlife are in the north end (Fernandina Beach). I give the place three stars. Some of these issues are correctable. Some are not.. If all correctable issues were addressed, the place would merit four stars. I think it really depends on the rate paid relative to other places. You do have an ocean view. However, it is a partial view. Again, all relativge to price paid.

Too many problems

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property had some nice bells and whistles like granite countertops and a big TV (unfortunately, we could not unlock the parental controls--and we asked--which limited our use of the TV), but the unit was not well-maintained. The rental agency had to send their repairman over to fix a broken, corroded ceiling fan in the master bath, and replace the lights in the stove. The carpets were dirty and the water heated leaked, and water pooled in the catch tray, which led to a dank, unpleasant smell. Most significantly there was a bug infestation--roaches and sand gnats. We killed 2 - 3 roaches a day, including ones that crawled out from the dishwasher. The rental agency sent someone to spray for the sand gnats, but the roach problem was getting worse and worse and would have necessitated yet more spraying and roaches coming out to die. The rental agency volunteered to move us to another condo, which we gratefully accepted. That unit was lovely.
