Welcome to The Eagle’s Nest at Ferringway (#14) — a thoughtfully arranged 1-bedroom + loft, 1-bath condo just minutes from the heart of downtown Durango. Whether you’re here to hike scenic trails, tee off at nearby golf courses, ride the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, or visit Fort Lewis College, this home puts it all within easy reach.

Step inside this inviting retreat featuring an open-concept living area with a flat-screen TV and cozy wood-burning fireplace—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The fully equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area make it easy to enjoy meals together. Upstairs, a charming spiral staircase leads to the loft—ideal for extra guests or a quiet reading nook.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine on the private balcony overlooking the surrounding scenery. You’ll also have access to the Ferringway community’s shared heated pool and year-round hot tub, plus multiple outdoor grills and dining spaces for easy al fresco gatherings.

AMENITIES: The Ferringway Townhomes offers a shared hot tub and heated swimming pool for guest use. The pool deck has plenty of room for lounging, as well as multiple gas grills and outdoor dining space without having to leave the grounds.  There is easy access to City Open Space hiking and mountain biking trails behind this property. THE POOL IS OPEN APPX MEMORIAL WEEKEND TO END OF SEPTEMBER; HOT TUB IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND.

LOCATION: Ferringway is just a 5-minuts drive to historic downtown Durango and the Durango Train, plus restaurants, shops and entertainment.   Driving about 30 minutes to the north takes you to Purgatory Ski Resort and the high San Juan Mountains.  Mesa Verde National Park, a noted World Heritage Site, is about a 40-minute drive to the West.  Hillcrest Golf Club is a five-minute drive from this condo, as is the main campus of Fort Lewis College. Whether visiting Durango for skiing, summer Rocky Mountain adventures, attending a wedding, graduation at Fort Lewis College, riding the Durango Train or visiting Mesa Verde National Park, playing golf, hiking and mountain biking on local trails, this Durango townhome at Ferringway is a great place to stay!

The inside reminded me of the Strater hotel that is in town. The coffee maker was a nice touch and I had everything I needed so all in all I would definitely recommend staying here.

The bedding was incredibly comfortable for all the skiing we did at Purgatory, and the entire place was easy to find, literally the first unit you see when you pull in, which made arrival stress-free. Parking was a breeze with plenty of available spots. The space feel unique and warm with views of the san jauns. The clubhouse/spa was a huge highlight too — perfect for spreading out and relaxing after long ski days. We found ourselves at the hot tub and sauna every day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient mountain stay!
