Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful view from Balcony. Separate thermostats for bedrooms and living area. Electric fireplace made living room very cozy. Really enjoyed our stay and meet our needs oerfectly
The house was perfect for my stay. Plenty of room to set up my remote work station. The patio was a great place to end the day. Close to the National Parks I wanted to visit and the train to Silverton was awesome.
Very clean and tidy. Location was good. Washing machine was moldy and smelled terrible. Was over 90 degrees most of our stay and condo was very warm without air conditioning. Couldn ât keep windows open because of road noise. Bed in primary suite was uncomfortableâŠbox springs was set up to use instead of mattress. Air fresheners were overpowering. Air freshener in the kitchen wastebasket had broke open and leaked liquid into bottom and combined with raw garbage.
The unit was very clean. It was hard to find at night as there was not lights.
You need to leave lights on for night arrivals. Also you need to be explicit about the 3rd floor. I am 75 and my sister is 80 and the 3 flights of stairs were very difficult for me. Other wise the unit was great.
We had a great stay here. We came for a week of skiing at Purgatory. The place had everything we needed and then some. Everything was labeled with either what it was or how to use it and this was the best part. We didnât have to guess what went where or what something was for. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. It 15 min to town and 15 min to the slopes. You canât beat that. The people that live there were super nice and the grounds keeper was the kindest. I would highly recommend this place
We came to SW Colorado to do some skiiing at Purgatory, and this vrbo was great! It's a nice midway point if you are planning to spend time in Durango and Purgatory like we did. The kitchen had everything we needed (and some things we forgot). We truly appreciated the little box of hot cocoa after hitting the slopes.
Our stay was perfect. So comfortable and clean, it had everything you need and made me feel more at home than most places I've stayed. Host was very kind and easy to get in touch with. I arrived alone with my two kids in the dark, which wasn't ideal, but when I ran into a tenant from another apartment, they were super nice. I also lost my keys on my way from the car to the apartment, and didn't realize it for an hour. Somebody kindly put them right on the stairs for me, so I knew it was a very safe and friendly place. Highly recommended, wonderfully quiet for the kiddos. Would definitely stay here again.
My sister and I stayed the weekend with her kids. The place was clean and conveniently located. It was well stocked and comfortable and just what we needed. Highly recommended.
The best VRBO experience we have had to date! Super clean apartment that felt like home while we were in Durango. Everything was provided, even things we didnât think of were there. Games and puzzles and all of the reading material about the area. Also loved being able to hear the steam train going by and blowing their horn. The only thing we were surprised at was that there was no air conditioning. It was a bit hot in the afternoons but being Colorado, I am guessing most places wouldnât use air conditioning all that much anyway. We were able to open all the windows and use the fans provided so it was tolerable. Would definitely stay here again!
My family and I loved staying here. It felt very homey and was perfect for our family of four. The bunk beds were a plus since we have a teenage boy and a teenage girl. The only reason for the four is the traffic that comes by is loud but that can not be controlled by the owner.
The VRBO that We stayed at is about 12 miles north of Durango, but an easy 10-15 minute drive. The condo is on the third tier, but Iâm 82 and it was an OK climb for me. The place sleeps 7; we were a family of 5. Itâs far enough from Durango so the stars are brilliant at night if you like star gazing. The property manager is easy to contact and bends over backwards to please his guests. The place is better supplied for guests than any I have stayed at. It is an end unit, so the highway noise is loud in the early evening, but quiets down overnight.
Nearby is James Ranch which is a wonderful ranch that is environmentally sustainable in all methods of farming. The quality of the food is celebrated in the area. Itâs a real treat to learn about what they do. It was one of the highlights of my Durango visit.
