New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

This beachfront home offers plenty of cozy spaces to catch the ocean breeze. One of two furnished sun decks has a private boardwalk that leads directly to the shore. Freshly renovated and refurnished, the interior features new flooring, sofas, bedroom TVs, and stainless steel appliances in the well-equipped kitchen. Turtle Landing has one main-level bedroom and three upstairs guest rooms. One of the bathrooms boasts a luxurious garden tub. An upstairs sitting room, detailed with a queen futon, provides extra sleeping space. Extras like cable TV, Blu-ray/DVD players, central air conditioning plus heating, an enclosed outdoor shower with hot water, and a washer/dryer add convenience.

Perfect Location

Beautiful and very clean home that has everything available and more for a wonderful week's stay. Our family had plenty of room and the beds were extremely comfortable. We would love to stay here again!

Great house

The home is clean, well stocked for adults and kids - it is in an excellent location. No complaints- no need to bring your own chairs as there are plenty available. This was our 3rd time staying in the home and we had a great week.

A good fit

Turtle Landing was a good fit for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed. I never did venture to to second floor but I heard no complaints from our adult children. The outdoor shower had the one thing sometimes lacking— great strong water pressure. I would definitely rent it again.

Luxurious and affordable

Turtle Landing was an unexpected surprise. The first floor is an open concept with modern appliances and all the dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, and pans you'd ever need. It came equipped with spare light bulbs, batteries, first aid kit, and thoughtful amenities. The view of the ocean from the back deck was wonderful, and the view from the upper deck was spectacular. The master suite on the upper level had an ensuite bathroom with large walk-in shower and separate corner tub. We definitely would stay here again.

Customer service needs help

We have stayed at Turtle Landing for a number of years in May and love its location and proximity to the beach, plus the cleanliness of the property. However, Vacasa's lack of local customer service and some issues with appliances and upkeep have us greatly concerned. 1. Lack of local customer service. Since Holden Realty sold its rental business to Vacasa a few years back, there is a definite need for more personal interaction locally. Upon our check in on May 24, I noted we were missing a set of sheets for the futon. Vacasa text indicated that would be delivered. When I asked where it was, they noted it would come the next day. When I asked again in the afternoon the following day, it was not delivered. We gave up after 3 tries. Poor. 2. The refrigerator freezer door gets stuck and it is hard to open. When we were departing after our week-long stay, the fridge started leaking badly. I contacted Vacasa and someone came to repair before the next rental week. This should have happened with the sheets and bathroom sink blockage (below). 3. The range has a malfunction in its display. It has been that way for years - with blinking numbers. Never been repaired. 4. The deck on the bottom porch leading to the beach needs repairing. There are rusty nails popped out. One of us staying here last week got a nail in their foot on the way to the beach. Maintaining that area is important. 5. The upstairs sink was clogged upon arrival. We asked for a repair upon arrival and when nothing happened with the sheet delivery, we took a plunger and fixed it. 6. There is a new grill under the home. I asked about using it and was told it wasn't for renters. Why even have it out there then if it's not to be used?

Good solid option at Holden Beach

Our group of 3 couples enjoyed Turtle Landing & appreciated the layout & location. Here are a few specific notes to help you plan ahead. Good: * Host Vacasa staff are *really* responsive - very impressed! * The house worked well for our group of three couples. The kitchen is large and well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dish ware. Large newish refrigerator was very handy. * Washer & dryer closet right off the kitchen was also very handy. * The beach access is wonderful - we had plenty of space & privacy on the beach - and & the rockers on the porch are great. * The bathtub upstairs is epic! * The beds were all reported comfortable with good linens. Challenging: * It wasn't listed anywhere what supplies are provided but here is the list: sheets, towels, 1 sponge, 1 kitchen towel, bath mats, dish soap, coffee pot, 1 dishwasher pod, 1 laundry pod, 1 roll paper towels, 1 trash bag, and each bathroom gets a roll of toilet paper. * The windows facing the beach were so dirty when we arrived that we couldn't see out of them. Vacasa sent someone right around to wash 2 of the 4 windows and both of the French doors. * We discovered electrical issues in 4 outlets and 2 appliances. An electrician came over a couple of days later, verified that everything was safe, and scheduled repairs for after our departure. * Most of the beachside windows are inoperable, or had non-functioning screens. We were able to get one open but it wasn't enough to create a cross breeze. So we had to leave the French door & the front door open for that, which brought in lots of flies & midges. Fortunately, there was a fly swatter! Good and challenging, we would definitely consider Turtle Landing again!
