Welcome to the Gallows Hill Guest House! Your home away from home is a comfortable and peaceful 2nd floor apartment in this 110-year-old colonial charmer that has been lovingly maintained by the same Salem family for the last century. Visit us to enjoy a cozy, peaceful, well-appointed space that's been newly furnished, located within one mile of downtown but far enough from the crowds when you are ready to relax and recharge.

We offer a 2 bedroom apartment featuring 1 queen and 1 full size bed, a cozy living room outfitted with comfortable furniture and plenty of room to stretch out and relax. In the living room you'll also find a Roku flat screen television configured for guest access so you can login to your favorite streaming service and enjoy! There's also a desk and chair in case you have work to do while you're here, and we have the fastest residential wifi available so you're well connected.

The nicely outfitted kitchen has everything you need to make a quick breakfast before heading out, reheat some fantastic leftovers, or make a meal from scratch if the mood strikes you. It features a full-size refrigerator and freezer, stove, microwave, four-slice toaster, blender, and Keurig. (We'll leave you some Dunkin' coffee pods!)

The full bath features both a tub and shower, and there's a wall dispenser of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The medicine cabinet and vanity provide room for your personal items. A hair dryer is stored in the cabinet of the vanity. An iron and ironing board are stored in the closet of the back bedroom, and both bedroom closets have 20+ hangers for your clothes.

All mattresses, linens, towels, and pillows are high-quality, new, and chosen for comfort.

Both bedrooms feature new room darkening shades and blackout curtains, so you can control the amount of light you wake up to in the morning.

One flight of interior carpeted stairs leads to the apartment in the front hall; the space is not wheelchair accessible.

PLEASE NOTE - The apartment is not child-proofed or furnished for children: we do not have baby furniture or baby gates, or child-proofed cabinets, electrical outlets, door handles, window guards, etc.

In addition to an inviting place and great amenities, we provide you with our own “Locals” guide to the best attractions, restaurants, coffee, shopping, and more in Salem. You’ll have the inside info to make the most of your time in the area including nearby Gallows Hill Park, and a short walk to Proctor’s Ledge Memorial site. We are walking distance to downtown (about 1 mile or 20 minutes), or take a quick drive/ride share trip ($3 on Salem’s service). All of this info will be listed in your guide, located on the desk in the living room.
