The Space:

Stunningly situated atop the rugged ocean bluffs, Misty Rose enjoys spectacular views of the open ocean and the dramatic shoreline of the Northern California Coast. Throughout its single-level living space, this oceanfront property offers floor-to-ceiling windows, an open, airy design, and such little luxuries as gas fireplaces and jetted bathtubs (including one that overlooks the water). Fit in a quick workout on the exercise equipment in the ocean-facing sunroom or grab a seat on the double-sided deck just in time for sunset.



What's nearby:

This oceanfront home enjoys private neighborhood access to Seaside Beach down below, with MacKerricher Beach less than a mile south on Highway 1 and MacKerricher State Park and Ten Mile Beach just beyond. The heart of downtown Fort Bragg is nine miles south, where you can take a scenic ride on the Skunk Train, tour the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, and stop in for a pint at North Coast Brewing. Nine miles further south is the village of Mendocino - the home of Cafe Beaujolais, Mendocino Headlands State Park, and several lovely shops and art galleries.

Beautiful ocean view and hot tub was perfect for soaking after a long hike at the fern gulch trail. Kitchen was well appointed! Lots of towels available for the hot tub too.

The view and spaciousness of the house exceeded our expectations.Some of the outdoor furniture could’ve used some attention as they were pretty dirty and we couldn’t use them. Other than that, the house and amenities were wonderful. We really enjoyed the hot tub with views of the sunset.

Location can’t be beat and management was quick to respond to issues. Appliances were an issue. Dishwasher door was very hard to close, only would run on heavy duty wash and heavy door slammed into one of my guests knee. The biggest issue was when we tried to broil something in the gas oven, a fireball came out of it when we opened the door to check how it was doing!! Luckily no one was burnt! Maintenance came the day after we contacted the host about issues but had to order a new igniter for the oven because it wasn’t close enough to where the gas came out. The squeaky door on the refrigerator gave us a lot of laughs though. No sneaking food with that! Other than that, had a great time there. Lots of room to gather and we used a table from out in the garage and the folding chairs that we brought to play games in front of that wall of windows with the great view!

This home has a dream view! There are windows in the main room ( with a view from the kitchen), and the two primary bedrooms have ocean views. You can hear the waves breaking when you open the windows. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with good knives and an assortment of pots and pans for cooking. AND there is a private beach !!!! Our host was VERY responsive to our questions. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing Views with plenty of room

Beautiful views...private access to beach...very clean and kitchen is very well equipped. Hot tub is amazing....I definitely would recommend booking.... it was wonderful, relaxing, and has easy access to beach, not far from home away from home.

Very nice!

The more recent reviews were more accurate in describing the home. The views of the ocean, were at times spectacular! It was a great stay, and we would definitely book it again.

Beautiful Coastal getaway

This property has an amazing view which can be seen from almost every room. It has beach access just a 5 minute drive away. There are 2 master suites and an extra bed room. All the conveniences of home. We would rent this property again.

Yearly Trip to Northern California

Every January I travel to Northern California to visit my family and return to my childhood home. Fort Bragg is always on my itinerary for at least 3 or 4 days.I have begun bringing others with me so they may enjoy my adventures.This is my first time staying at the Misty Rose. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year.It is an awesome experience!
