The Space:

Fairview is a beautiful home located on a very quiet street in South Manzanita. The beach is a quick half-block walk and Manzanita Links is a short walk in the opposite direction. You can also take a leisurely half-mile walk to downtown Manzanita where you can explore the quaint shops or eat delicious treats at any of the local restaurants.



Entering Fairview on the ground level, you will find one of the three bedrooms with a spacious bed and a cozy wood stove. There is also a spacious full bathroom and laundry room. In the garage, you will find a Ping-Pong table, so make sure you bring your competitive family or friends with you to have a Ping-Pong battle. Walk up the stairs to the beautiful living area. Cozy up on the couch or love seat while you enjoy your morning coffee or watch the fire crackle in the fireplace. Morning coffee or family meals are best outside on the huge wrap-around deck where you can enjoy the ocean and mountain views. The full kitchen has views into the dining room which seats six. There are two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the upper level.

Great family stay

We had a great experience, 9 yo and 25 year old, my husband and myself. Super close to the beach. Agree kitchen a bit small but we didn’t do a bunch of cooking so it was fine for our needs. Deck space is awesome! Ping pong was fun!

Manzanita House

The house was comfortable and dog friendly. Close to ocean, and a view from the deck. Listing shows a TV in the bedroom, not true. The only TV is in the living room. The living room furniture could use a cleaning. We put the sheets over the furniture.

Very comfortable

Overall stay was very good. Great location and very close walk to the beach. Layout of the unit is very nice and beds were very comfortable. The propane grill could use some work. One propane tank was empty and the other was leaking propane. . Needless to say we could not grill anything. Other than that we lived our stay.

Great location family friendly home . Just a few items that needed some work especially the front door lock which stuck like crazy. Kitchen is very small so if you plan on more than one person at a time in the kitchen this home won’t work. Lots of stairs so beware of that for unloading. Loved the big deck with gates made it more enjoyable when out with dogs and little ones . Owners seem to be making upgrades to the home new windows and sliders fantastic . Overall a very nice stay

Great with 2 issues

This a great location and the house was very comfortable. The only 2 criticisms are that the house cleaning could be better. Our 6-year old found a prescription pill on the floor in the bedroom. If our pet or kids consumed that, it could be a big problem. Also there was a wet load of laundry in the wash machine.

It's kind of hard to say...

...since the power went out at mid-day during our first full day there, from Tillamook to Seaside. Even the next day it was too cloudy to get much daylight indoors and it was too cold to stay. We left a day early. I took off a star because there really is no access to the beach; you can see the water but there's a huge sand cliff to get down/around to actually get to the beach. Very disappointing. Also - those bedspreads really need to be washed every time :(

We are sorry for the power outage in the area, which caused you to leave a day earlier, and please know we never wanted you to experience that. We also regret that you could not access the beach, but there is a beach path you can take to go to the actual beach. We also appreciate our guests' preference for a room to improve, so we informed our property manager about your comment on the bedspreads for consideration. We look to hosting you again in the future.

Great location/major appliance out of order

This was a lovely home that was a perfect location for our family vacation. Well stocked, close to the beach path, golf course, and short walk/drive/bike to town. My only issue was that the washing machine was not working and we were not notified until 7:22pm the day we checked in (which was at 4pm. 3 hours AFTER arriving). When I asked about alternate facilities, there was no response from the local Vacasa rep. If we would have been notified ahead of time, we would have packed differently, but a week at the beach often generates a lot of laundry for a group of 7 (w/kids). I know this was out of the owner’s control, but letting your renters know ahead of time helps them pack appropriately to accommodate the inconvenience. Otherwise, we had a beautiful week in Manzanita with our family, it’s one of the best places on the Oregon coast, and on the planet!
