WHAT’S NEARBY

Tucked away on an isolated plot 12 miles north of White Salmon, this cabin makes it easy for you and your family to visit the Harvest Market whenever you like, with roads ideal for biking and motorcycles. While you're near the river, you can experience the gorgeous Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area or cross the bridge to Hood River, OR. The BZ Corner launch site is less than a mile away if you're up for kayaking or rafting. Ten miles away are the huckleberries and freshwater fun of Trout Lake. If you head north instead, you can explore the lush forests and trails of the Monte Cristo Natural Area Preserve - it's only nine miles to the north.

Quiet and beautiful place. We enjoyed the place. Close to all the great hikes and the rafting tours along with Hood River and White Salmon both great places to relax for a weekend

Perfect place

This was a great little spot to stay while enjoying everything the White Salmon River has to offer. We enjoyed watching deer in the yard and the accommodations were perfect.

Loved our stay at the cabin in white salmon

My mom, my husband and I reserved white salmon for my mom’s birthday, and we were not disappointed!! It was so peaceful and serene. Beautiful place to visit in winter or summer!

Very private and comfortable studio

This private studio above the garage sits apart from any other buildings. Very quiet and private. Apartment was well-equipped. Highly recommend for a stay out of town.

Awesome cabin

We've stayed here before, love it! Clean,quiet and everything we needed. No morels this time, boo!!Love the addition of the light under the bed!! Really great for late nite bathroom runs! We'll definitely stay again, maybe not in rainy season! Thank you again!

Wonderful place

This was a very nice little cabin. The property was quiet and private. We had a deer and her two little ones and a family of wild turkeys. The inside was very clean and perfect for two. Just disappointed about the 10 am check out. Even with rushing to get out I'll definitely book another get away here.

Nicely appointed above-garage studio apt that was a perfect location for my visit to the area. Very clean and set in among trees to make for a secluded feeling... although you can hear the log trucks grinding by in the morning. Thankfully, I was gone most of the day... so not an issue for me. Would definitely stay here again if I come back to this area!

Clean and partly comfortable

The facilities were clean. Ample kitchen supplies (pots and pans, tableware, etc.). The bed is wedged into a very narrow space between a waist high wall and a low, sloping ceiling that no adult can navigate without bumping his or her head. TV is Roku only. Roku may be OK for people who use it every day, but in our experience it is painfully slow and exceedingly difficult to navigate. No curtains or blinds to keep out the sun, so when the sun comes up you are going to wake up. no place to put luggage or clothes (we ended up leaving our suitcase open on the coffee table). Slippery shower floor and no bath mat. Foot of the bed is adjacent to the top of the stairs, creating a potential falling hazard, mitigated by a Bright light under the bed connected to a motion detector. (You have to turn the light on.)

A great budget find for 2

Overall, a great find. Originally we wanted to stay in Hood River but all rentals there were quite pricy. This one was very close to Hood River and many hikes. It is a loft style kind of apartment above a garage. In a confusing moment for me, the key lock box gives you a key to access both the renal and the garage but the keys don't tell you which is which. I accidentally went into the garage 1st and was greeted with signs telling me I shouldn't be there. 🤣 Once we got into the apartment area, we were greeted with fresh paint smell. The place is clean and stocked and comfy. There is no privacy however. Not a problem for me and my friend, but just a heads up. The bathroom is spacious and thankfully a lot of DVDs on hand. As the Roku was behaving erratically the whole weekend. We couldn't get it to work and it kept going to the Sling app. So we settled on DVDs. Would recommend for couples or 2-3 close people but more than that and you are going to be tight and bumping into all the spiders. Of which there were many.

Beautiful little cabin perfect for a couple and maybe an infant. Kitchen is fully equipped you do not need to bring anything except for food. The bathroom is a luxury. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Quaint

Beautiful property and nice accommodations. Wish there were curtains or window coverings, as the neighbors who had tents on their property had a clear view into the kitchen/living room area. But got to see a doe & fawn on the lawn in the evening and amazing star-filled sky at night.

Great little cabin!

This cabin was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished, and well located. My husband, teenage son & I stayed for a few days while attending a wedding and playing in the area and it was perfect for us. Thank you!!

Nice cabin regionally located for recreation and relaxation.

Overall, the cabin was very clean and had a well-appointed kitchen with lots of appliances and utensils. TV streaming services were good and the natural lighting in the cabin was very pleasant. I would recommend this cabin rental to small groups of less than 4 people.

Not what I expected

Was fairly difficult to find at first, as we lost cell reception, so the driving app couldn't guide us (actually had no cell service the whole time). I can definitely see this place as a perfect choice for someone working on a thesis/paper/novel (but not requiring a strong internet connection). I DO NOT recommend for a family. The stairs terrified me! Nothing to deter falling (I have a toddler- I was very nervous), or someone slipping (no traction on steps which were a glossy slippery surface-and shoes are required to be removed), and especially nothing to indicate WHERE they are in the dark!!!(suggest maybe place a glow in the dark strip?). The MANY rules to heed, regarding driving/noise/neighbors & even trash made us feel like we were almost imposing? The lack of ANY curtains on all the windows, in the 2nd story living area, was extremely unsettling, and this is not as secluded a location as I originally thought. The garage is not accessible, which would have been perfect for my kids to play in, as it was snowing fairly heavily the whole time-- IN APRIL so unexpected winter conditions, but even the outside "yard" had large rocks and what seemed like a filled in hole or maybe a dirt pile? It was, however, VERY clean, the heaters definitely did their job, and the bathroom is beautiful and very large, bed and pull out couch very comfortable, extra blankets were appreciated! Despite what my review is saying, I really don't have anything major against the rental (except the stairs), but it is definitely not ideal for more than a few people, especially with little ones. I can see it being PERFECT for some people like grad students or authors.
