The Space:

Welcome to the Lofty Pelican! This 3-story contemporary beach home has a very open and airy feeling with 20-foot high cathedral ceilings, natural wood beams, and sweeping ocean and sunset views. From this home's 24-foot long front deck you can relax to the sounds of crashing waves while sipping a favorite beverage in bliss. Plus, you are only steps away from access to Heceta Beach with its miles of sandy shoreline!



On the ground level there is a two-car garage with a convenient toilet and washer and dryer. Enjoy the ocean air while sitting at the picnic table and watching the kids and dogs play in the large fully fenced back yard.



The main living space is on the second floor and features floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the open concept and ocean views in every direction. The well-appointed, full kitchen comes complete with a refrigerator, electric range, microwave, and yes, even a dishwasher! Everything you need to prepare and enjoy your fresh catch seafood dinner. The primary bedroom is also located on the main floor and features a new king-size bed, dresser, and a 32' Roku Smart TV (one of three Roku TVs in the home).



Spiral stairs lead up to the third floor loft providing even more living space and ocean views. On a clear day you can see Heceta Head Lighthouse from the North facing window. Whether playing the provided musical instruments or relaxing on the sofa watching tv, or sitting at the table playing cards, board games or puzzles, you’re sure to have a fun time with family and friends.

5 min walk to the beach, excellent property grounds with fenced yard. Extra toilet is dislocated from main living area, but weather was good so not much of an issue for our stay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

2 heaters did not work. No wood for the wood stove. Very cold night. Maintenance came hours later the next day, dropped the stuff on the porch and left without a word.Roof leaked. Mold?Dog feces all over fenced yard, that we had to clean, so we could use.No fan in the bathroom. Thin walls, so everything you do, all can hear.Some towels were stained.

Perfect stay for us!

This was a perfect stay for exactly what we were looking for. An easy minutes walk to beach access for walks on the beach every morning, afternoon, and evening. So fun to be able to see the ocean from the porch and enjoy beautiful sunsets! We will definitely book here again.

It is a great place to stay, except in cold weather. The little heaters are totally insufficient to heat the high, uninsulated ceiling of the living room and loft. Even the loft does not warm up in the morning. It was like backpacking, get up, dress quickly, including coats and hats. The heaters in the bathroom & bedroom are adequate for those rooms, but the living space is not comfortable until the afternoon.

Great location

Loved this little place had views of ocean and only a small walk to the wide open beaches. Convenient to so many places to visit including Heceta Light House, south Jetty and downtown Florence. Would highly recommend it.

Amazing place

We loved our stay at this beautiful place. The views are amazing, we appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, great mattresses, and laundry on site. Our three boys enjoyed having a bit of a private space upstairs. Florence is cute with a few nice cafes and restaurants. The place was super clean!
