Tucked among towering pines in Big Bear Lake, Iris Haus blends the warmth of a Bavarian-style lodge with the relaxed comfort of a mountain retreat. Rich wood beams, rustic paneling, and soaring vaulted ceilings create a dramatic yet inviting space where friends and family can gather, unwind, and reconnect. Natural light pours through large windows, revealing views of the surrounding forest and distant glimpses of the lake near Metcalf Bay. Just across the street, a wide stretch of open forested land leads directly to National Forest trails - perfect for winter sledding or year-round hiking.

Living and gathering spaces
The main living area is designed for both relaxation and connection. Massive wood beams frame the vaulted ceiling while a wood-burning fireplace creates a warm focal point on cool mountain evenings. Surround sound, comfortable lounge seating, and wraparound window benches invite guests to settle in with a movie, a book, or simply enjoy the quiet mountain setting. Additional lounge areas throughout the home allow groups to spread out while still sharing time together.

Game room and entertainment
The dedicated game room offers a playful retreat for all ages. A foosball table, board games, and a PlayStation console provide hours of entertainment, while large south-facing windows fill the space with sunlight during the winter months. Smart TVs throughout the home make it easy to stream your favorite shows after a day outdoors.

Kitchen and dining
The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals simple and enjoyable. Stainless appliances, cooking basics, a drip coffee maker, and a Keurig offer everything needed for both quick breakfasts and relaxed dinners. Gather around the dining table to share meals together or step outside to the deck where outdoor dining and a propane BBQ invite you to cook and eat in the fresh mountain air.

Outdoor living
Two decks extend the living space outdoors. The front deck offers open views of the surrounding forest and distant lake, making it a peaceful spot for morning coffee or sunset conversations. On the back deck, the private hot tub provides the perfect place to soak beneath the stars after a day of skiing, hiking, or exploring Big Bear Village.

Sleeping arrangements
The home comfortably sleeps up to eight guests across three bedrooms and multiple sleeping areas.
