Escape to River Rock Lodge, a charming three-bedroom log-style chalet less than a mile from The Village and ideally positioned for year-round Big Bear adventures. With a private hot tub, two sun decks, wood-burning fireplace, and accommodations for up to eight guests, this pet-friendly retreat blends classic mountain character with the convenience of staying close to dining, shopping, the lake, and the slopes. Step inside and settle into the bright, open-concept living area, where soaring knotty pine ceilings, natural light, and warm mountain details create an inviting cabin atmosphere. Plush seating surrounds the wood-burning fireplace, making it the perfect gathering spot after a day of skiing, hiking, biking, or exploring Big Bear Lake.

A mounted flat-screen TV and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi provide easy entertainment when you're ready for a relaxed night in. The beautifully appointed kitchen combines mountain warmth with modern convenience. Marble countertops, modern appliances, ample prep space, and a dishwasher make everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners easy. The open layout keeps the cook connected with the rest of the group while everyone gathers and unwinds together.

Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms provide comfortable accommodations for families and groups. The primary suite features a queen bed, TV with cable, walk-in closet, private full bathroom, and direct deck access. Step outside from the suite for easy access to the private hot tub. The second bedroom features two twin beds, while the third offers another queen bed. A full sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping accommodations, allowing River Rock Lodge to host up to eight guests.

A second full hallway bathroom serves the remaining sleeping areas, while an in-home washer and dryer add extra convenience for longer stays, snowy winter gear, and lake-day essentials. Outside, enjoy both front and back sun decks surrounded by fresh mountain air. And when you're ready to truly unwind, slip into your private hot tub and let the mountain day melt away. River Rock Lodge's location makes exploring Big Bear especially convenient. Place could have been cleaner- especially in the restrooms and outside the property. We found random trash left from previous guests, and a good amount of ants in one restroom especially. Not a huge deal. Random amenities missing in the kitchen. All in all, a fine stay for a couple of days.

Family weekend getaway

The property was spacious, beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Jacuzzi was nice and working great. However, the backyard was not well kept, didn’t look like anyone cleaned the patio/chair area for awhile. We enjoyed the stay overall.

Pets must be acknowledged and may not be left unattended in the home. Owners must clean up after pets; subject to added cleaning fees for violations.

All homes include clean linens, and fresh bath towels for the occupancy. A kitchen with basic cookware and small starter amount of dish soap, toilet paper, and trash bags will be supplied. Paper towels, coffee filters/coffee, specialty appliances, nor condiments/spices/oils are supplied.

No Pay-Per-View Ordering in any homes.

No refunds/credits for cancellations or trip interruptions due to acts of nature, (especially snow, fire, power outages) weather, road conditions, mechanical or electrical failures, spa malfunctions, or other equipment factors beyond our control.

This is a forested mountain community home to critters- animals or insects you may encounter are spiders, moths, flies, squirrels, gophers, bears, coyotes, burro, bear, bats, etc. Our team inspects prior to arrival but cannot guarantee the home will be free of these forest critters.

We reserve the right to offer a comparable property or issue a full refund if circumstances arise that are beyond our control and your property is made unavailable for any reason.
