The Space:
A cozy and practical base to explore Quitoâs history. This apartment is perfect for travelers looking for an authentic stay with a great view without the price tag of a luxury hotel.
đŒïžThe Terrace: The best part of the house. Itâs a simple, open space where you can sit and look at El Panecillo and the city. Great for fresh air and a quick photo of the Virgin.
đïžLiving Area: A functional and honest space. We have a comfortable bed, a small table for meals or work, and enough storage for your bags.
đłKitchen & Basics: Youâll find what you need to cook your own meals: a stove, microwave, and fridge. We also have a washer inside the apartment, which is very handy for long trips.
đLocation: We are located on a traditional street in the Old Town. Itâs a real neighborhood, so youâll experience the local life of Quito just steps away from the main plazas and churches.

The Neighborhood:
Staying here means living in the real Quito. Our street, GalĂĄpagos, is part of the traditional Historic Center, where youâll see local life exactly as it is.
đ Heart of Old Town: You are in one of the most strategic spots. Itâs a lively, working-class neighborhood full of local character.
âȘ Walk to Everything:
7-10 min walk: The stunning BasĂlica del Voto Nacional.
12-15 min walk: Plaza Grande (Main Square) and the Presidential Palace.
Nearby: Museums, old convents, and hidden colonial courtyards.
đ„ Authentic Food: No tourist traps here. Youâll find small local bakeries, "almuerzos" (cheap local lunch spots), and traditional markets nearby.
đ Daily Basics: There are plenty of small "tiendas" (grocery stores) just steps away where you can buy fresh fruit, water, and snacks.

Quitoâs Old Town is famous for its hills! Be prepared for some steep walksâitâs the best way to get those legs in shape while enjoying the colonial architecture.
Safety & Vibes: đĄïž
The neighborhood is active and safe during the day. Like in any big city's historic center, we recommend taking an Uber or Taxi if you are returning late at night to get dropped off right at the door.
Getting Around:
The apartment is in a very central spot, making it easy to move around whether you like walking or using apps.
đ¶ Walking: This is the best way to see the Old Town. Most of the main churches, plazas, and museums are between 5 to 15 minutes away on foot.
đ Uber & Cabify: These apps work perfectly in Quito and are very affordable. They will drop you off right at the front door. Itâs the safest and easiest option at night.
đ Yellow Taxis: There are plenty of them passing by. Just remember to ask them to use the "taxĂmetro" (meter) or agree on a price before starting the ride.
đ Public Transport: You are close to main bus lines and the "Metrobus" station. Itâs a very cheap way (35 cents) to go to the North of the city (modern area) or the main bus terminals.
Other Things to Note:
Guests must be at least 18 years of age to check-in. Check-in time is at 3P local time. Checkout time is at 12 PM local time. We want to provide a delightful experience to our incoming guests, so we need your help vacating your unit on time. Please be advised any unauthorized checkout past 12 PM will have an additional cost.
Please be respectful of the home, as we like to keep it in good condition. No parties or events are allowed. The house rules here are very important. Parties, loud music or noise, and smoking are strictly prohibited. Quiet hours begin at 10 PM. Please be respectful of your noise level during quiet hours. Our neighbors live here full-time, and we work hard to maintain good relationships with them.
To abide by all legal requirements and building security rules, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, pass through our verification portal and, in some instances, complete a criminal background check.
