Panama City Beach is one of the best-kept secrets on Florida's Emerald Coast. The water here is genuinely emerald, that surreal clear green-blue you usually only see in postcards. The sand is famously sugar-white and squeaks under your feet. Unlike the over-developed parts of Florida, this stretch of PCB still feels like a real beach town.

What I love most: everything is walkable. From my properties, you can stroll to some of the best local spots:

- Schooners: the classic beachfront bar with live music, sunsets that will stop you mid-conversation, and the best fish tacos on the strip
- Patches: laid-back local favorite, the kind of place where families, college kids, and snowbirds all enjoy the same vibe
- Newby's: solid food, great drinks, the place we end up at least once per trip
- Tootsies: the late-night essential when you don't want to call it a night

When you've had enough beach (if that's possible), St. Andrews State Park is a quick drive away. Hiking, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, even the chance to spot dolphins. The park is one of Florida's hidden treasures and far less crowded than the major destinations.

PCB is family-friendly without being theme-park-y, and welcoming without being touristy. That balance is rare. It's why I host here, and once you visit, I think you'll understand.

The vibe is slightly cozier with a bit more shade in the afternoons, which guests tell us is a feature (especially after a full day in the Florida sun). One block from white sand, in-unit laundry, outdoor shower, all the comforts of home. Pet-friendly with a private backyard. If you've booked both bungalows for your group, you get the best of both: the matching twin-unit setup lets two families have their own complete space while still being right next door to each other.
