Pine Mountain Lake is a gated Sierra foothills community just 45 minutes from Yosemite National Park, and a world away from the city.
At the heart of the community is a private lake with three sandy beaches, a floating swim dock, volleyball, and kayak, paddleboard, and boat rentals at the Main Marina, plus a lively lakeside café serving snacks, milkshakes, and our favorite pineapple soft-serve.

The Main Marina beach: A local tip: on summer weekends, guest parking is roadside or park at Lake Lodge and catch the free water taxi to the Main Marina—a scenic ride that's half the fun of a lake day.
Lake Lodge Beach itself, closest to the house, has a quieter swim area, BBQs, and a playground right on the sand—ideal for younger kids.
Inside the gates, you'll also find an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, an equestrian center, a seasonal pool complex (open May–October, guest hours from noon), and miles of forested trails.
