A fairytale retreat is tucked in the forest and near Lake Raponda in Wilmington. Here, you'll find scenic surroundings in the winter, spring, summer, and fall. Explore nearby Green Mountain Beach, Hogback Mountain Conservation Area, Haystack Golf Course, and Timber Creek Cross Country Ski.

After a day filled full of adventure, head back to your cozy quarters where you'll find plush furnishings (kept warm by the heat of a gas fireplace), a well-equipped kitchen, and a sun-drenched seating room. Relax, play, sleep, and eat in this little red cottage. Skiing gear can be cleaned in the private washer/dryer. And barbecued meals can be prepared on the gas grill.

End your evenings around the firepit, swapping stories and indulging in a s'more or two.

Fantastic location and everything you need at the property. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels ! Lovely walk in shower and plenty of hot water. Plenty of tv channels and multiple parking spaces. Would highly recommend !

Really cool and adorable place. Suggest adding a double or queen to the second room for a more user friendly experience.The home was well stocked, had everything we needed, and we loved the fireplace. Highly recommend.

Cozy and peaceful, just with they had turned the heat up before u got there. It was like 45-50 when I arrived and had to figure out the heating and wait for it to warm up for the first few hours.

It was a great getaway. Perfect for recharging with peace and quiet of the woods and coziness of the propane fire place (I did have to call and have them light the pilot for me) they responded quickly and were there in 20 minutes.

Checking into the cottage felt like coming to stay at a good friend's house. It was comfortable and clean in a lived-in and approachable kind of way. It felt like an entirely appropriate place to bring my dog into, clean enough but it didn't feel like he was going to mess the place up just by being there. The gas fireplace was such a cozy feature and the lighting options in the living room fit in well with the soothing, cozy light from the fireplace. The fire pit added a lot of enjoyment to the night's, sitting out there looking at the stars and listening to loons calling on Lake Raponda. I struggled to find the kitchen light switch - it is hidden behind the kitchen utensils holder. The mattresses on both beds are very comfortable. The twin bed is not adequate for a tall person, so keep that in mind. Good hot water and water pressure in the showers. The front porch offered a nice option on a drizzly morning and the window seat in the living room was my favorite perch for an early morning coffee. The yard felt much more secluded than it really is, probably because no one was staying in the house just up the lane. So that was wonderful! If you are looking for a cottage that is cozy, tidy, but not fussy, this is a super option. I felt like I chose the right place when I saw the fairy lights lining in the enclosed front porch.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Red Cottage and it is my favorite place that I've stayed while visiting Wilmington. Peaceful, plenty roomy, less than 10 minutes to town and even closer to the lake. I have Celiac so have to bring items like a toaster to avoid cross-contamination but the kitchen has everything you need for your stay. The team was super responsive even before my stay. Highly recommend and look forward to my next visit!

Excellent Girls’ Weekend Spot!

A friend and I stayed at this location for a few days in the autumn. Everything was as listed and it was perfect for our getaway. I would highly recommend this place for anyone I know looking for a quiet and quaint place to stay!
