Friendly village, gorgeous setting!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved walking the paths around the lake and the village. The sound of cowbells and mountain views were wonderful! The apartment is definitely not as new and spacious as it appears in the photos, but was still more than adequate. Host is super nice, - we would stay here again.

Fabulous View

We had a fabulous stay. The apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Comfortable beds and a good shower. A few restaurants and playgrounds within walking distance. The view of the castles from the deck was so much better than I expected. Wish we had more time here.

Birkeneck in Schwangau - a very good vacation

The appartment at Birkeneck house in Schwangau was a very good choice for us to spend our vacation in Bavaria. A very nice, clean, peacefull and well connected (for those with car, bicycle or on foot) area with planty of options for rest and activities, direct view at mountains and the famous castles, clean, confortable, fully equiped appartment itself, discreet and nice hospitality from the host with a very good information on what is there at the very start - nothing more is needed if we just want to relax and share our joy with our family. We thank you for the opportunity to experience the two weeks visit at Birkeneck house as a base for our vacation.

Lovely apartment but somewhat remote

We booked this place because you can see the castle out the window. The apartment itself was great, although looking at the listing it shows photos of all three apartments so it was difficult to identify exactly which one we would be staying in. It didn’t really matter because we were there to see the castles! The key pick up wasn’t super easy, you have to go to a totally different town in the opposite direction from Fussen or Horn-Schwangau where the apartment is. I would suggest getting code locks on the doors so guests can bypass having to go out of the way to pick them up. The owner was great to communicate with but the property manager was spotty in responses. The apartment is a bit remote, with really not a lot of shops etc right around it. The closest bus stop was over 1km away, which would have been okay if we didn’t have only 75 year old mother in tow. It was even further to walk the closest grocery store. I would definitely recommend a car if you are going to stay here if anyone in your group has mobility issues. We did go to the thermal baths across the field on eafternoon and that was lovely, just note, clothing is optional in certain areas so keep that in mind so you aren’t shocked. Final note, the washing machine is not in the apartment, it’s downstairs in the basement, wonderful to have access to but there wasn’t clear details on where it was located so we had to do some investigating to locate it ourselves. Overall, beautiful beautiful location but just a bit more remote than we were expecting.

Kurzurlaub

Sehr schöne Dachgeschosswohnung in super Lage und top sauber. Einzig die KĂŒchenausstattung könnte etwas besser sein, aber man kommt zurecht. Insgesamt kommt man hier gerne wieder. Unseren Kids hat es auch sehr gut gefallen.

Toller Wanderurlaub mit Erholungsfaktor

Wir waren Ende Oktober in der schönen DG-Wohnung und haben es einfach nur genossen. Tolle Wohnung, sauber, perfekte Lage und alles gepflegt. Einziger Kritikpunkt waren die Betten, die leider schon etwas durchgelegen, bzw. die Bestellbetten sehr hart waren. Wir hatten mega GlĂŒck mit dem Wetter, sodass der Urlaub ein absoluter Traum war. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Tolle Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, der Ausblick superklasse. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, manches Mobiliar ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber ok. 2 SchlafZimmer sind es nicht. Eine Schlafcouch in einer Nische im Flur ist kein Zimmer.

Gerne wieder

Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Die Aussicht war wie beschrieben. An der Ausstattung und Sauberkeit gab es nichtst zu beanstanden. Lediglich der fehlende Insektenschutz an den Fenstern ist ein Wermuttropfen. Diese sollten aber nach unserem Aufenthalt installiert werden.

Tolle Wohnung - genialer Blick und kleiner Makel

Wir haben uns als Familie sehr wohlgefĂŒhl, die Lage der Wohnung und der Blick sind wirklich großartig. Die Einrichtung ist modern und gepflegt und auch sonst ist alles zur besten Zufriedenheit und wie beschrieben. Einzig die fehlende Klimaanlage macht im Sommer schon was aus. 2 mobile KlimagerĂ€te sind nett, ersetzen aber nicht die in der Beschreibung aufgefĂŒhrte Klimaanlage. Fenster öffnen war wegen MĂŒcken und Wespen nicht so eifach.

Schöne Ferienwohnung

Die Beschreibung stimmt nicht ganz. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage (nur zwei Turmdrehventilatoren) und keinen Spielplatz. Schade, weil wir ja im Hochsommer mit Kind verreist sind und diese Faktoren bei der Wahl entscheidend waren. Die Inhaberin ist die liebste, netteste und zuvorkommendste Frau, die man sich nur vorstellen kann. Ist auf unsere WĂŒnsche bei der Anreise eingegangen. Die Lage ist super! Überall zu Fuß unterwegs gewesen: FĂŒssen, Schlösser etc. Der Ausblick ist atemberaubend. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung erfreut das Auge. Die Wohnung war top Sauber!! Riesen Lob dafĂŒr.

Insgesamt war die Wohung schön.Das schlechte zuerst: keine Klimaanlage! Nur ein LĂŒfter! In der Beschreibung steht nun mal Klimaanlage. Wir haben genau aus dem Grund die Wohnung gebucht!

Tolle Unterkunft in super Lage!

Die Unterkunft hat alles geboten was man fĂŒr einen Urlaub zu viert benötigt. Super Lage als Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge rund um FĂŒssen. Ruhige Lage und der Balkon mit super Ausblick ist bei schönem Wetter das Highlight!

Traumhafter Ausblick

Sowohl das Check-In als auch der Check-Out waren sehr unkompliziert. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und der Ausblick ist einfach ein absoluter Traum. Wir kommen im nÀchsten Jahr gerne wieder.

Dachgeschoss vs. Obergeschoss

Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage, mit Blick auf Neuschwanstein, Restaurants und BĂ€cker, Therme und Seen (10-20 min) fußlĂ€ufig erreichbar. FĂŒssen Altstadt, Wanderwege etc in naher Umgebung Top. Die DG ansich schön und der Blick einzugartig, allerdigns sind 2 SZ angegeben, wovon eines eine "Nische" mit Schlafcouch ist und nur ein abgeschlossener Raum mit Bett versehen ist. FĂŒr 4 Erwachsene Personen also nicht das Richtige! Und so auch nicht gebucht. Wir hatten GlĂŒck, dass am nĂ€chsten Tag die untere WE mit 2 Schlafzimmern frei wurde und wir dank Sylvia von Alpenland umziehen konnten. Vielen Dank nochmal dafĂŒr ! Die WE sind recht hellhörig und normaltypisch eingerichtet, kein "Luxus". Zum 1.OG- Die Möbel werden wohl nach und nach ausgetauscht: Zi 1 hat ein recht neues Bett, aber 2 alte fast ineinader fallende SchrĂ€nke. Zi 2 hat einen neuen Kleiderschrank, dafĂŒr zwei alte Betten. DafĂŒr 2 BĂ€der und komfortabel. Checkin im Nachbarort ĂŒber "Alpenland" eher unpraktisch statt direkt am Haus ggf durch SchlĂŒsselsafe. Dieser ist vohanden und konnte auch fĂŒr Checkout auch genutzt werden. Die Beschreibung ĂŒber Fewo ist demnach akt. Nicht ganz korrekt, Alpenland als Verwaltung hat hier gut unterstĂŒtzt und vor Ort beraten. Insgesamt konnten wir somit unseren Urlaub noch genießen.

Kurzurlaub ĂŒber Pfingsten

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung unterm Dach. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön und die Ruhe lÀd ein zum Entspannen. Unsere Fellnase war auch dabei.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Auch der herrliche Ausblick auf Schloss Neuschwanstein hat uns gut gefallen. In der Umgebung war alles (Forggensee, Schwangau, FĂŒssen, ...)gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.
