Bungalow d'artisan 1922 magnifiquement restauré dans une zone de dégustation de vins de Lodi

Amenez votre groupe familial ou vos amis dans ce magnifique Ca. bungalow au coeur de Lodi et du pays du vin. Cette maison a été magnifiquement restaurée avec des antiquités partout. Ce bungalow de style artisanal construit en 1922 a des planchers de bois franc et des boiseries et mesure plus de 2600 pieds carrés. Il y a 3 chambres à coucher, 2 1/2 salles de bain, une grande pièce à l'avant, une salle à manger formelle avec buffet en verre au plomb intégré, une salle familiale / de jeux, un salon / bureau, un atrium et un coin lecture. La cuisine a été entièrement rénovée avec des comptoirs en granit mais a toujours la remarquable glacière Fridgidaire 1926 qui est parfaite pour stocker le vin. La cuisine ensoleillée et la salle à manger sont entourées à l'extérieur de camélias qui se trouvent près de la plupart des fenêtres uniques qui remplissent la maison de lumière naturelle. Ils permettent également de belles vues sur le quartier bordé d'arbres et le parc d'en face dans cet emplacement privilégié. Vous pouvez également profiter de la lecture dans le coin confortable ou l'atrium rempli de plantes privées. L'immense arrière-cour clôturée offre un patio pour profiter d'une tasse de café ou d'un groupe pour un barbecue. La table de patio peut accueillir 8 personnes et il y a des meubles en osier supplémentaires et une table de pique-nique avec des bancs pour les grands groupes. Le Merlot Bungalow se trouve en face d'un parc pour enfants populaire et à 2 pâtés de maisons du centre-ville de Lodi, qui propose de nombreuses salles de dégustation de vins, des restaurants, des galeries d'art, des magasins et des théâtres. De plus, Lodi offre un accès à plus de 80 établissements vinicoles avec des vins primés pour votre plaisir de dégustation de vin. Également à distance de marche est Hutchins Street Square qui accueille de nombreux événements et mariages. Vous pouvez également aller au lac Lodi et au centre de la nature avec son magnifique parc, son aire de pique-nique et ses activités nautiques. À proximité se trouve l'historique Micke's Grove avec un musée d'histoire, un zoo, un golf et un jardin de thé japonais. It was a wonderful stay. Great location. The house is just charming and huge. The pictures do not do it justice. The owner was very receptive and responded quickly and was helpful. We had a group and greatly enjoyed the back yard and BBQ and fire pit and the huge dining room table was great as well. I would stay here again.

Gathering for a wedding

Perfectly located in town. Walking distance to park, shopping, food, theater. Hutchin Street Square Activities. Beautiful craftsmanship, plenty of room and we all felt like we were at home. Highly recommended.!

Wedding weekend stay

Great place to stay for family wedding we were attending. Very close to a park for our grandkids. Close enough to walk to downtown for coffee in the mornings. We were welcomed with snacks and beautiful flowers! Charming older bungalow home.

Perfect in the Downtown!

We rented this home for a Church choir that played at our Youth Retreat for the weekend. They loved how close it was to the church, the downtown and eateries. Would definitely book again!

Incredibly charming 100 year old home!

Maurie's home has been lovingly restored to its grandeur & the bedrooms are super cozy upstairs. Walkability is ideal. Backyard is huge! Very spacious for a large (or small!) group with room for everyone. Delighted to have stayed in a piece of history.

House is great

Really enjoyed our stay here. House is in a perfect location near downtown. All the bedrooms are comfortable, downstairs living area is large with multiple rooms such as parlor, living room, dining room etc. Backyard has a nice seating area with outdoor furniture. Would definitely come again.

Lovingly restored craftsman is perfect for a holiday family gathering

Just entering the house and admiring all the craftsman details is a delight. Plenty of space for a family to spread out. The kitchen is roomy and well stocked - pots, pans, and room for 2-3 cooks plus a breakfast nook for family members who want to observe and chat. Lovely location in town.The downtown area is walkable and the grocery stores for last minute food runs are a 5 minute drive.

Little touches like fresh flowers, a bottle of Lodi zin, snacks and decorative pumpkins and gourds were so thoughtful and appreciated. It was lovely spending time out back at the table under the trees. Kitchen was immaculate and totally adequate.

Lodi with Friends

This is the fourth time we have stayed in the Merlot House with friends. The kitchen is large and well stocked. We cook and potluck and enjoy eating together at the large dining room table. Walking distance to downtown and Hutchins Square. Lodi has much to offer. We especially enjoy bird watching in various locations and visiting the various wineries.

Great place for a group

We were three small families and had plenty of room for everyone. There are several downstairs gathering rooms along with a large dining room and a fully stocked kitchen. It’s a lovely neighborhood and parking was easy. The Internet was spotty but we didn’t ask for any help so maybe that could’ve been fixed. The clean up/check out process was minimal which we appreciated.

Perfect Location - Best Backyard

This house is perfect for those who want the flavor of downtown Lodi, and also would like to relax in a quiet and beautiful garden. There is a park across the street for families, and the house is perfectly equipped. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The office can be a 4th. and it is downstairs.

The hosts were great with communication and very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and activities. The house was a very spacious and unique older home with a well equipped kitchen. The outdoor patio was a wonderful space and we even had a fire one night. The only negative was the odor in the house when we first got there…it was completely closed up and had a very pungent musty smell. It improved with opening up the house and getting fresh air in. Overall,the house met our needs with our favorite spot being the outdoor patio.

It's an attractive, large, well-built property in a great location. We appreciated the large bedrooms and bathrooms. What we missed was a living room to gather in; the chairs in the kitchen were thin plastic and uncomfortable, and that's the only group gathering spot. We would have appreciated a good coffee maker; the rounded bottom on the stove top espresso maker provided caused it to not have contact with the induction stove top. We also would have appreciated a bottle of hand soap, shampoo (only a tea-bag sized envelope was provided), a starter laundry detergent, and dishwasher detergent.

a wonderful stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Merlot Bungalow. Beautifully and comfortably furnished with everything you could possibly need. Our family group of 8 had plenty of room to relax and reconnect. The downstairs den/bedroom with attached bath was especially handy for one with mobility challenges. Relaxing oasis in the backyard. This home is wonderfully restored with all the quirks of an older home intact. Yes, the street traffic can be noisy, but the location is perfect. Terrific hosts and the welcome wine and cheese gave us a delicious start! We only wish we could have stayed longer.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Lodi has improved some of the streets by placing 4 way stops at many locations to try to lessen the traffic coming home in the late afternoon.

Our Big Fat Italian Wedding!

This very special home in downtown Lodi helped make our son's nearby winery wedding a big success. It was so nice to have a home base where family and friends could pop in and visit and the bridal party could get ready for the big day. We even had a fabulously casual rehearsal dinner under the lighted trees in the back yard. The owners were happy to accommodate our needs for additional tables and chairs and make sure everything was perfect. The home is spacious and everyone had plenty of privacy. The bedrooms were quaint and clean and comfy. Overall it was wonderful.

Nice house with a big yard

The house was very nice. It worked out for our group who was in town for a sports tournament, and it was great for our dog with a large, fully fenced yard. The neighborhood is very nice to walk through and there is a great bakery about two blocks away that we walked to every morning. The only drawback there was that there tends to be a fair amount of loud traffic, IE big diesel pickups so if you are a very light sleeper make sure to bring ear plugs. But it was definitely not an all night long thing. The house is older so the configuration is a little dated, with just one upstairs bathroom where all the bedrooms are. But it was very clean and organized, lots of towels in all the bags and kitchen. The backyard has a really nice seating area with gas and charcoal grill to choose from.

I'm glad things worked out for you. My mistake, I forgot to tell you about the Lodi Street Fair that weekend, which was in walking distance but had additional traffic.

We have an antique and estate sales business and had come across this house in disrepair. We had known the owner and this house for a long time and had admired it's architecture. We couldn't pass it up in such a beautiful location. It is close walking distance to everything! We have spent almost a year lovingly restoring it. We have just added another new central heat and air upstairs for the summer months.
The wine industry has grown so much in Lodi, but very few places are available for rent for the wine events. We have our own connections to the wine industry and we have a vineyard of merlot grapes, thus came the name 'Merlot Bungalow'.
