Thanks for being considerate of the other homeowners in this community - it's a peaceful and tranquil environment. Remove sand before entering home.
Firepit: no garbage in fire pit. wood only or charcoal. Use beach chairs or patio chairs. Return to proper area.
Garbage: cans in front of house. Place by road on Monday evening for early Tuesday pick-up. Recyclables: glass, paper, cans, boxes (break-down).

Perfect place for a girls’ weekend! Location is perfect for morning walks to the coffee shop, or to watch the sunset on the beach. Everything that we needed for a quick weekend getaway was included. Highly recommend.

We loved our time at this home in Union Pier. The house was very close (walkable) to the beach and lakefront. The house had plenty of privacy and the porch and yard areas were perfect. We loved the outdoor dining and the fire pit and spent a lot of time on the enclosed porch with its comfy couches. The living/dining/kitchen area was so sunny and bright and a joy to wake up to every morning. The upstairs and one bath downstairs had been remodeled and was modern in finish. (We did get a lot of funny comments about the monkey statue in the downstairs bath from the kids!) The house was well appointed and had what we needed while we were there, and the driveway was large enough to fit all of our cars. Overall, it was great weeklong stay for us in our favorite vacation spot!

4th of July Fun

We had a great stay at this home. Comfortable and well appointed kitchen. Sunroom was perfect for coffee in the mornings! Very much as pictured and short walk to the beach. Would rent again!

Everything about the property was exactly as advertised. The house was very cozy, bright, and well decorated. The furniture was comfortable and clean. The entire house was well stocked with everything you might need for a week of relaxing vacation. Thank you for a wonderful accommodation!

Perfect location

Easy walk to a beautiful stretch of beach, a great bakery/coffee shop, and a market. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group. Good space for group meals and playing tabletop games. Very wide open and light filled, which is great for socializing. It might be a challenge for guests who are running different hours from each other, or who are seeking quiet while others are active.

The house was perfect. The host is amazing. The company VRBO was terrible to work with. There was an error on the bill. Not the owners fault. VRBO would not credit me for the error. With such a wonderful property the host may want to rethink the listing agent.

Great spot

We have been coming to Union Pier for the last ten years and this is one of my favorite properties we have stayed in. Great location, great layout and it has a very homey feel. A lot of properties you stay in feel generic or sterile but this feels like a place you actually want to stay and come back to. The beach is just down the road and the yard is terrific too. Top notch!

Wonderful Lake Michigan Beach Town House

Our stay at this property was wonderful! Jena is a wonderful host and easy to communicate with if you have any questions. We were comfortable and felt right at home. The kitchen has everything you may need, there’s plenty of beach items (towels, toys, wagon, etc.) and there’s plenty of entertainment. The house is a quick walk to Lake Michigan and the shops and restaurants of Union Pier.

Mother's day weekend girls trip

My sister & cousins stayed here together for a time of relaxing and spending time together. We enjoyed the large well-appointed kitchen, with ample counterspace and had ALL the pans/utensils we ever could have need. Very nicely stocked home that was clean and organized and super welcoming. The short walk to the beach offered us lots of enjoyment especially when we got to experience our first Northern Lights viewing! We also walked to town to enjoy dinner every evening. It's a very quaint, quiet town and everyone was very friendly. We will completely stay there again because we loved it so much!

Spring Getaway

Close to the beach and some of the shops of Union pier! Can’t beat the location and space this home provided for our short stay. The home is decorated nicely in each room. We can’t wait to visit again.

Incredible beautiful home!

What a treat this house is!! Fantastic location really close to lots of fun places to eat and things to see and do. The house is super clean, with everything you could possibly need for for a weekend getaway! The beds are extremely comfortable with wonderful linens! Would definitely stay again!!

Retiree friends trip

Loved cleanliness and decor. The loft is open to the downstairs, so the tv and conversations and activity upstairs competes with the living room downstairs. We were sight seeing by day, so only had issues in the evening. Getting local tv channels for downtime was a challenge. We needed more exact instructions to follow for this. We still enjoyed the visit and enjoyed our time in the area.

Wonderful home, wonderful host!

This was the house we’ve been looking for in years of coming to SW Michigan! Beautiful inside and out, great location, comfortable and very well laid out. Owner was proactive and very responsive throughout the process. Definitely will be looking to see if this one is available next time we go!

I bought the house in 2009. I renovated the kitchen, guest bathroom, added an outdoor deck and made other improvements in 2013-16. In 2022, I added a dormer for more living space, bedroom and a third full bathroom. I cherish MI ReTreat, but am not able to use it as often as I'd like since I moved from Chicago to Nashville. I enjoy sharing it with family and friends.
