Peace Lodge - Cabane en rondins taillés à la main dans les bois

Deux nuits minimum.
Bordant la forĂȘt nationale de Manistee, cette propriĂ©tĂ© ne ressemble Ă  rien d'autre que vous trouverez. C'est un morceau d'histoire rustique conservĂ© dans un cadre pittoresque. Evadez-vous pour une semaine de dĂ©tente dans une cabane en rondins dans les bois loin du stress de la vie quotidienne.

Réminiscence du lieu de naissance d'Abraham Lincoln, cette cabane en rondins taillée à la main remonte au début des années 1800. La cabane en rondins a été construite à l'origine dans le nord de l'Indiana par des colons pionniers de Pennsylvanie. Au fil des années, les bûches ont été recouvertes de bardage à clin, ce qui les a préservées pendant des années.

En 1970, un autre pasteur a achetĂ© les grumes et l'a relocalisĂ© dans son emplacement actuel dans le nord du comtĂ© de Newaygo. La partie log de la cabine a une grande salle avec deux chambres Ă  l'Ă©tage. Une vingtaine d'annĂ©es plus tard, il a ajoutĂ© une chambre, une salle de bain et une cuisine / salle Ă  manger. En 1994, nous avons achetĂ© la cabane et avons profitĂ© de nombreux Ă©tĂ©s relaxants et profitant de la paix et de la solitude. Nous avons profitĂ© des privilĂšges d'accĂšs au lac sur le lac de pĂȘche privĂ©, non sportif et non sportif, situĂ© Ă  proximitĂ©.

Le linge de lit, les serviettes de toilette, les couvertures et les oreillers sont fournis. Les lits comprennent un lit queen dans la chambre principale et quatre lits jumeaux Ă  l'Ă©tage dans la cabane en rondins.

NOTE: Nous n'avons pas de service de corbeille. Tous les clients doivent emporter leurs déchets avec eux OU les invités sont les bienvenus pour profiter du poste de gare situé à quelques kilomÚtres du chalet Les instructions et les jours de fonctionnement sont indiqués sur le réfrigérateur.

Pour votre information: cette cabane est Ă  environ une heure du lac Michigan et le parc d’état de Ludington dispose d’une belle plage publique propre oĂč passer la journĂ©e.

Most relaxing trip!

The cabin was spotless when we arrived even though someone had stayed there right before us. The owners were so responsive and kind. My boyfriend and I had an amazing trip - the property is incredibly quiet even though there are some other cabins nearby. We loved drinking our coffee in the hammock in the mornings and had a fire in the fireplace during our last night there. We will be return customers! Thanks again!

Up North Cabin

I loved this cabin!! It is in "God's country".... A great experince and such good energy in this beautiful place!! I enjoyed my stay, my animals did too! The cabin, the hiking, the lake, and the neighbors were all a much needed retreat.... I did a lot of healing and I'm very grateful for my wonderful stay!! Than & Lisa couldn't have been any nicer....

Amazing experience, highly recommend!

Cozy and calm

From the minute you step in the cabin is inviting. Comfy places to sit and sleep. Hi he fireplace adds to the charm. Large enough kitchen for multiple people to hang out in while prepping meals. Very clean and neat. For activities we took advantage of hiking the gorgeous North Country trail along picturesque lakes and visited nearby Newago for shopping and a dinner. Lovely getaway

Cozy but challenging!

Everything was great except for the fact that the water at the cabin was off for a whole day which was somewhat inconvenient for four people. Had to go to the corner gas station to use toilet. Otherwise the cabin was very cozy! The owner said he would make it right with us for the inconvenience.

Loved this cabin

We loved this place! Very charming, rustic, clean cabin, surrounded by woods. The cabin had all the amenities and coziness. We had a great time hiking the nearby North Country Trail, taking the canoe out on Shelley Lake, and stand-up paddle-boarding on the lake across the street. Hanging out around the campfire and hammock was also super pleasant. Owner was very responsive to messages. Highly recommend this cabin.

Great Relaxing Getaway

Nice, mostly secluded cabin in the woods. We didn’t utilize the lake toys since we were with our dog and out hiking the many trail spots in the area, so I have no opinion there. But the house is great, fire pit/grill are conveniently located just outside of the house, the owners were highly attentive to our questions, overall great experience all around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a secluded cabin, big enough for a group of friends/family. If you are looking for lake fun, just know, the lake is a few minute walk from the house.

Peaceful indeed

The cabin was way better than I expected! It was well stocked with everything you could need from the kitchen to the bathroom to outdoor in the shed! The cabin is very charming i loved the fact that there wasn't really any updates, truly a great log cabin! My husband and I had an amazing time here! The lake was a bonus with the paddle boat and canoes! Finding the dock was a little tricky but nothing major! We enjoyed gathering the firewood and relaxing by the fire pit! We got to reconnect and recharge to get back to or regular scheduled lives! Will definitely be coming back!

The 'Walden Pond' of Northern Michigan

Our stay in this 1800s cabin with modern addition was so unique and just what we were looking for. Being off the grid isn't for everyone; however, we enjoyed reading by the fire while sipping our hot cocoa in the evenings. Bring a cd player and some favorite music...we did. All other amenities provided! Caution: Don't listen to OnStar/GPS and use Centerline Rd. to Lincoln St.! Centerline is a trap...especially, after a hard rain...we found that out the hard way. We had great communication with our host and would stay again.

Exactly what we wanted!

The name says it all - Johnson’s Peace Lodge. This place is so peaceful and charming.. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this cute little cabin. My husband and I visited from Florida, along with my brother’s family. We enjoyed a campfire outside, played games around the table, and explored the area. The fall colors were absolutely beautiful! My sis-in-law and I enjoyed checking out every square inch of this adorable log cabin. The decorations just added to the atmosphere of being in an 1800’s cabin. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cabin and setting.

We found the property to be even better than described. It was very wooded and quiet and peaceful. It had more than enough supplies and utensils in the kitchen for our use. Very nice towels were supplied and plenty of linens. It was very hot while we were there (85 deg) but the house remained cool even without air conditioning. It was fun staying in a real log cabin with all the decor to match. It was close enough to Lake Michigan and state parks to get in some swimming and hiking. We had a great stay!
