Relax at Isle of Palms condo

Lovely four days at the beach! This unit is located in a large, busy rental complex with good beach access, a pool that keeps the kids happy, and busy parking lot. The porch overlooks the parking lot, looking toward the ocean, and gets a lovely sea breeze. The jnit is clean, comfortable and functional. It is an easy drive into Charleston and to John's Island, where there are lots of great restaurants and sites to visit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the third time as a family we have stayed here. The units had a freshening up, even though previously they were very nice.One cabin had a really large issue which management resolved with a full refund.Cabins were well furnished with kitchen items, plenty of linens and paper products provided.Easy access to the beach, pair, and pool. We will be back!

Unit Needs Multiple Updates

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although we would happily use Island Realty again, we would not book this unit. The unit is in need of many repairs and furniture replacements. At the time of our booking, the sleeper sofa was advertised as new but it had multiple stains, was very worn and had a stained slipcover over it which had to be removed in order to use the sleeper sofa. The bar stools are not the correct height for the counter so you are sitting at table level. We learned that the bunk beds can't technically be advertised as they are not up to code, so no ladder is provided to access the top bunk which is impossible for kids under 10 to get into by themselves (linens are also not provided for these bunks) . The front door is lacking weather stripping and there are large gaps allowing you to see outside. The bathroom is also in need of a fresh coat of paint to cover staining and bumps and the floor planks appear to be not professionally installed as there are many cracks and gaps.

Little beach condo

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo was ‘acceptable’ in that it was relatively clean. While it has its ‘pluses’, there are quite a few things we didn’t like. The description of the condo is deceptive. My husband and I took my mother for a long weekend. We were planning to put her on the ‘new sleeper sofa’. The sofa was a far cry from new. The sofa bed was extremely worn and uncomfortable, not to mention dirty. The space was so small, there was barely room to unfold the sofa. There was nowhere to put the coffee table and the bottom of the bed barely cleared the bar. There were two bunks, but no ladder to get to the top one and the mattresses were no good. Dont plan to put anyone other than a tiny child there. The main bedroom had a nice king bed, but there is literally 3” to get around the bed. Good luck getting to the bathroom without crawling across the bed. The foot of the bed is only a few feet from the front door. The bathroom was old and small. The kitchen was ok, but had no mixing bowls. The bar stools are the wrong height. You can’t get your legs underneath, but then you are too far (high up) from the counter to get your food in your mouth. For the pluses, it was quiet. It was clean enough (but could use a deep cleaning and some paint). It was easy beach access. The balcony was nice. The parking was excellent. The price was reduced by $200 a week after we booked, but the real estate company wouldn’t reduce our rate. I might stay again, but not for what we paid.

Cute place, convenient location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a cute place. We had three young children. It was definitely a tight squeeze but we made it work. There is a door o separate the bunks from the main room which was good for us. However there is no railing on the bunks so bring your own. Several boogie boards and beach chairs were there already when we went. The chairs for the kitchen island are high but it would good for our small children- adults may find it uncomfortable. I liked that the property was located far enough from the stairs to deter noise but also not too far. Would stay again.

Not so relaxing vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was overall very clean, however the dishes did have to be washed before use as they had visible food residue left on them. The rental was perfect for our stay, but we did have some inconveniences. The upstairs tenants had children running back and forth all hours of the night which disturbed the sleep of our infant. The beach access and private pool were amazing, but for our family we could only use at certain times of the day to ensure there was shade for our infant. I would highly suggest shade umbrellas in the pool area, as they are much needed! The pool restrooms were extremely convenient but the mixture of the heat without any airflow was unbearable. A mom with multiple small children in a bathroom with no fan/air ventilation and sweltering heat is not a good combination and I ended up extremely sick from the short time we were in there from overheating. I would still recommend this location to others, but for a family oriented place, there needs to be some upgrading to accommodate the small children, or even older adults that just cannot manage with the heat.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation rental was very clean and well kept. The location was so convenient to the beach and to the little shops and restaurants. The pool was clean and very kid friendly. I would definitely recommend and use this in the future. Overall the property management was very good to work with. The only negative is that when checking in the girl was not friendly and didn't provide good directions to get to the property. When I asked where do I go to get to the property the only direction provided was turn right out of the parking lot.

A Great Getaway!

We loved the barn doors, which enabled the bedroom to accommodate a king bed. Check-in and check-out process was super easy and convenient. The unit was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. We really liked the direct access to the beach and the pool. Several good restaurants in walking distance(Acme Low Country Kitchen is our favorite!). Loved sitting on the porch listening to the ocean at night! Great oceanfront property for a great price!

Found it very difficult to locate our unit and where to park. We were disappointed that our unit could not go below 73 degrees, we like it on the cooler side. We picked our unit because of the king size bed, it was an average mattress at best. The unit had no area rugs and sand was everywhere! We rented to units for the trip and also had other family staying at the sea cabins. So we had the chance to see a few. We had the worst furniture the couch was dirty and again average to sit on. The pullout bed was awful!!!! My son felt the bar across his back! The tv was not high definition either. The porch was sticky most likely from how it was glued we were given the wrong access code to the beach and pool so that was fun.

Sea Cabins #138 for September trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at the Sea Cabins for 37 years and this room was the best we've stayed in. The kitchen had all updated appliances and cabinetry but this unit has a king size bed. This is the first time we've stayed where they owner had a king bed instead of a full or queen. Loved the way they had the sliding doors to give the bedroom privacy while having the large bed. We would highly recommend this unit to everyone!
