I understand your disappointment that the HOA closed the pool for repairs. We did communicate with you and this is a copy of the last email we sent: We wanted to respond to your email. Every guest concern is important to us and we take every guest comment/concern seriously. We understand your frustration that the SeaCliffs community pool was unexpectedly closed during your stay. We were not notified that the closure was planned ahead of your arrival. Both the owner and we reached out to the HOA about the pool closure and they did not respond until they later notified us of the issue with a barking dog being left outside at the Sea Bliss property. We followed up and asked again and they confirmed that pool maintenance for a leak in the community pool was being done, but the pool deck was still open to use. As repairs to the leak were made, they said they found additional issues that caused the repairs to take even longer. Unfortunately, as was communicated to you prior to your arrival when you emailed us with the question about pool floats, the SeaCliffs community pool is exclusively under the control of the HOA. That said, they make determinations on maintenance and repairs without asking any rental company or guest input. We also understand that you wanted the SeaCliffs HOA to negotiate with the neighboring community to be able to use the pools in that neighborhood, since the SeaCliffs pool was closed and the HOA declined to do that. The neighboring community has no parking at their gulf front or interior pool, so likely, that would have led to them declining the request even if the request was made, so that may have been part of the reason for the HOA not reaching out to them. Additionally, there would be liability concerns on behalf of the other community's HOA. Having had multiple rentals in both neighborhoods since 2011, to my knowledge, there has never been a time that either neighborhood as allowed guests from the other community to use their facilities. We do communicate all known concerns to our guests as they are made known to us and we are sorry we were not made aware of the issue requiring the pool to be closed and that it took so long for them to complete the repairs. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the pool and we wish we could have waived a magic wand and eliminated the leak, so that no repair would have been needed. We are sure that the HOA wishes they would not have had to close it, as well. It was certainly an unfortunate circumstance for all parties concerned. Hi, We are very sorry for what you experienced! We wish you would have let us know about the cleaning issues and we would have notified the cleaning company and asked that someone come out to address it asap! When we notified the cleaning company of the issues, the cleaner was released. We are not sure who removed the air filter and that should never happen. That has, of course, been replaced and further, the A/C vendor has come out and done a full duct cleaning. We certainly hope that you will come back to Sea Bliss and wish you all the best! Dear Susan, Thank You so much for the very nice review. I am so happy to know you enjoyed yourselves. That is always important to me. Really, there is no place like the Cape to relax and enjoy the water and nature, also good air to breath. Everyone is friendly and nice and the pets certainly have a good time.
