A Perfectly Peaceful Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked directly through Legacy and had a wonderful experience. All costs, fees, etc. were clearly outlined and the instructions leading up to the trip were clear and concise. We had a nice, relaxing stay in the unit which was clean and has all basic necessities. You can’t beat being steps away from the soft sand and relaxing pools. It was quiet, not too busy and the beach service (chairs and umbrellas) was easy to use.

Vacay on Oskaloosa Island

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second review I have submitted. The location was perfect even though a lot of construction was happening. All the access feature including the parking lot was good. Would be nice to have more carts available since we had lots of groceries to carry up to unit. The only problem we had was with the icemaker. When we called the maintenance man responded quickly and got it going. He said the housekeeper did not leave it ready for us to turn on correctly. Good ice after that. Condo was very clean. There was a pair of panties in the right drawer of the hall bath. We left them. Nicely decorated and the furniture was very nice. Collin was so so - not very friendly. But Ron was great. Appreciated Ron helping us with a late checkout! Oh, also enjoyed the pools very much. Beautiful beach, sand, and beach service people were fantastic. Algae not great though. Just bad timing for us but family still had in the ocean!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is a really nice location and the property and unit is well taken care of. We'll look to stay here again. The only things I would suggest are 1. mattress in the master bedroom is too soft and killed my back. 2. The unit should be supplied with enough sundry items for the full stay, trash bags. toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap and dryer sheets. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils however some generic spices and oil would be nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Always have stayed at Summer Place since it was built. Excellent location, pools and condo. This trip was different as room was dirty and not well maintained. Asked for a vacuum because the one in the room didn't work. Stayed for a month and never checked on or received one. Bar stools seats were loose except for one bolt in each and this was reported day one and never repaired. Heavy black mold around every jet in the jet tub. We were told this is deep cleaning and not done very often.We purchased our own cleaning supplies and cleaned ourselves because it was too gross to even step in to take a shower. No broom in room so we bought one since we didn't have a vaccuumm. They did clean our bathroom sink drain when it was reported clogged.Condo is being sold so hopefully improvements will be made but i believe this had to do more with the management company because owners aren't usually notified for small repairs. We had friends in 4 other condo's at same time with same management company and they were not satisfied with the cleanliness of there rooms either. Need to hire new cleaners for sure or at least check on the job that they are supposed to perform.

Building was just the right size so not always waiting on elevators, chairs and beach space wasn’t overcrowded and you could actually sit and swim in the pools (half the time we had a pool to ourself). Best pools on the strip that I saw. Great location as well, right next to the bridge so less travel time. No hot water when we first arrived, but maintenance called back within 30 min and had us fixed! (Breaker was off).

Beautiful place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very clean and well stocked. There were enough dishes that we made it a full seven days only having to run the dish washer once. Our only complaint was the second day of our trip some kids (assuming from the neighboring hotel) hopped over our fence and started knocking chairs over around the pool, just wreaking havoc. A few guests by the pool ran them off very quickly. I did notice a more noticeable security presence around the condo after that. Also we noticed guests from the neighboring hotel walking across our parking lot to spend the day at our pool. For what I spent to stay here, I expect to only be sharing with other people that were paying to stay here. All in all the condo was great, well stocked, clean, and convenient location to Destin without the Destin crowds but the management staff needs to do a better job securing the property.
