L'appartement Tamarind Tree offre «un havre de paix» aux visiteurs qui recherchent la tranquillité et le confort tout en ayant un accÚs proche aux restaurants, aux fast-foods, aux supermarchés, aux pubs et à la plage.

La propriété en bord de mer est située sur la plage de Paynes Bay le long de la cÎte ouest de la Barbade et se trouve à environ:
À quinze minutes en voiture de Bridgetown
À quinze minutes à pied de l'hîtel Sandy Lane
Cinq minutes de Lime Grove et Holetown
Cinq minutes Ă  pied de Shades

L'Ă©lĂ©vation de l'appartement permet une ventilation fraĂźche et une vue panoramique sur notre jardin, l'Ă©tang Ă  poissons et l'ocĂ©an, depuis ses baies vitrĂ©es et son porche en bord de mer. Une perche d'arbre cĂŽtĂ© mer devrait ĂȘtre ajoutĂ©e sous peu pour que nos visiteurs puissent admirer le coucher du soleil sans interruption.

La propriété se compose de deux chambres (avec air conditionné) - une chambre contient un lit queen-size et les deux autres lits jumeaux; deux salles de bains avec salon et terrasse décorées avec goût pour le confort de nos visiteurs. La cuisine ouverte et le salon ont un ventilateur de plafond pour faciliter la circulation de l'air. Les clients bénéficient d'un rafraßchissement gratuit à l'arrivée et toutes les demandes spéciales sont traitées rapidement.

The apartment was excellent value. It’s right on one of the best beaches in Barbados, has good amenities like wi-fi and air conditioning. The owners kept it clean and were very responsive and helpful. We had a great trip!

Underwhelming

This is the first time I have had to write a negative review of the property. The host was not accommodating at all. First of all there were extremely steep stairs that were not mentioned and no one to assist us in getting our luggage up the stairs. When we complained she finally got someone to carry our luggage. The rooms were clean but not outstanding. There were two bathrooms but one of the toilets did not work. We would have left if not for the fact we only stayed one night.

Beachfront location, lack of cleanness

Direct beach access is a big plus. Surroundings include heavy traffic main road, a lot of noise from there, not much to do, no walking trails, one or two restaurants. Accommodation requires urgent attention, needs to be up renovated. Place was not clean, the owners must clean up their apartment for future guests.

Wonderful location

Couldn’t be closer to the beach! Hosts very helpful and accommodating! Only downside was finding the apartment initially as the sign was missing. The real seller was the included beach beds they set up for us every day.Came home and immediately booked to return next year..

Great location for a family vacation

My family recently spent a night at Madeline’s and William’s place on Payne’s Bay. The location was great, right on one of the best beaches in Barbados. It’s also close to many restaurants and bars and close to Holetown.Madaline as excellent at keeping in touch leading up to our stay and William was equally as good to welcome us and ensure that we settled in well.Having sun loungers ready for us on the beach was lovely touch, so to was the flexibility for checkin and check out. The apartment is basic, however, it has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the balcony out to sea was also lovely. There is a bar and restaurant between the apartment and the beach. Great for drinks and light meals and snacks. Worth noting that the noise level was not too bad, with music played during the day time.Thanks again Madaline and William. Great meeting you!

Perfect location Beautiful beach

Quaint property, located in Paynes Bay. There’s a small beach bar and grill located on the property which is perfect to have lunch. Walking distance to a few restaurants and easy to access cabs or public transportation. Owners are quick to respond to requests. Hidden gem!

Had a great stay, awesome location and the staff was super friendly and helpful. William even drove me to the store and waited for me to shop the first night I arrived and drove me to the airport so i didn't have to take the bus when I left.

Madaline is an excellent host

We stayed for only one day but Madaline made it very special for us. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The location of the house is right at the beautiful beach. It is a true homely experience away from home. Would highly recommend this place.

Excellent location on Paynes Bay Beach

It is very nice to be able to walk out the door and be only a few steps to the beach or watch the sunset from the balcony. The apartment is basic in its furnishings, but comfortable. William was helpful in looking after a couple of things and we enjoyed talking with him. The beach restaurant was convenient to have on site, providing various items for our use. Overall, it is not as fancy as other accommodations might be, but is reasonably priced.

Wonderful vacation

We enjoyed our vacation in Barbados. The location is excellent(on the beach), and the hosts, Madaline and William, are great people—ready to help at any given moment. Every morning, we had 2 chairs on the beach awaiting us. There is a small playground for kids—we use it all the time for our granddaughter, 2 years old. The grocery store is near there, and there are lots of restaurants around. Gazebo offers food and drinks if you prefer to avoid cooking. We had a great time there.

Perfect apartment behind the bar at the beach

We had a great time at paynes bay. Madaline and William are very kind and helpfull. We could use the sunbeds of the beachbar while waiting for our check-in time. In the first day William took us to the supermarket as we had no Rental car. The approximity of the beach and the bar with a simple but good meal or drinks is just the thing you want for a holiday in Barbados. The kitchen is wel equiped and the beds are better than at home. I can highly recommend this apartement to anyone.

Location, location, location

The two bedrooms gave ample space for our family of four and as described by others Madeleine, William and Alison were very helpful & friendly. The air conditioner in the bedrooms worked well. Addressing other reviews, the place could maybe do with a lick of paint and one of the bathrooms had a strong sulphur smell but the location right in the middle of Paynes Bay is excellent. The beach chairs set up on the beach for us every day, just yards from the back door made everything so easy.

Perfect apartment in prime location

This apartment is run by a lovely local family. They’re very helpful and friendly. The location is superb, right on Paynes Bay, a few metres away from the sea :) the kitchen has all you need, the bedrooms have air-conditioning. I’d say pretty perfect! We will definitely come back.

The apartment is meters from the beach my son in law cooked breakfast for me everyday that we had on the balcony overlooking the Caribbean it had too good sized bedrooms with a bathroom each a well stocked bar on the beach with hot and cold food all the staff were very friendly and helpful with a sense of humour hope to be back in September , thank you all for making us welcome. A great place!

William and Madeline went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We checked in at supper time and William even drove us to a nearby restaurant and returned to pick us up afterwards. In the morning, the bar and grill on the beach behind the property provided a great place for some delicious food and drinks. We’d love to return and stay longer !

Hi my name is Madaline and I am married to William. We are the owners of the Tamarind Tree Apartment who also live on the premises. I grew up on the beautiful lush and rugged east coast of the island. I married to William and moved to this side of the island where we raised 2 beautiful daughters - Indra and Tyra. As this location is home to us we were always being praised for our location and hospitality when entertaining but only saw it as home until we decided to add the apartment.

William is a retired secondary school teacher of Mathematics and I worked Accounting, property management and in business development with a government agency. I currently operate The Gazebo Experience Bar and Grill and Trainline Adventure Tours. Our kids are now in university seeking to lead their own lives.

Our Apartment is well located along one of the more beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Barbados. We wanted to share our hospitality and our home with visitors to truly experience Barbadian culture in a village type setting similar to what we like to experience when we travel to other countries. Therefore we try to provide the comforts of home in an easy going holiday setting where locals are friendly and are always willing to assist you with anything if you need it. Females and the elderly are especially comfortable here and grateful for the helpfulness.

The location is safe and someone is always on the premises. Our apartment is a continuous evolving opportunity for us as we seek visitors ideas and needs, to update our plant into what you like as well as what we like. This fusion will hopefully be more pleasing to all as we continue.
