Thanks Lori, glad you enjoyed your stay under the circumstances! Great suggestion on the TV, we have now installed a larger TV for everyone's viewing pleasure.

We are sorry that the guests were less than satisfied with the accommodations, though we do feel the need to respond to some of their comments. As to general cleanliness, we have receipts from cleaning services that are dated for the week before their occupancy. We also have receipts for regular visits from the pest control company and weekly visits from the grounds keeper. Every year, after our renters leave in the spring, we visit the property and assess the condition of the furniture and appliances and while some are a bit dated all of them are functional and clean. This is all reflected in the discount to market rate the guests were charged as a pet friendly accommodation. We do our best to accommodate our renters. In fact, in this case, we replaced outside chairs and bought a Mr. Coffee because they didn't like the Keurig. We spent over $1,600 addressing their specific concerns while they were guests. We did say no to a freezer for the garage, a new, larger bed for the spare room and lowering the TV mount in the den. We respect their opinion but we felt that many of the requests and observations fell outside the purview of the facts. In the end, they stayed 5 months, and actually asked about returning next year, so we are very puzzled by his inaccurate rating. The pictures reflect exactly how the property is presented to our guests, as noted in all previous reviews; and we are very happy to respond to questions and concerns of our guests.
