Il s'agit d'une suite privĂ©e entiĂšrement meublĂ©e de 2 chambres / 1 (rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e) situĂ©e sur deux acres boisĂ©es Ă  la base du magnifique mont. Finlayson dans le parc magique de Goldstream. Avec de superbes vues sur la forĂȘt, un espace de vie confortable Ă  aire ouverte et une magnifique terrasse surplombant un ruisseau bordĂ© d'anciens cĂšdres rouges, cet espace est un rĂȘve pour les amoureux de la nature. Parfait pour se reposer, peindre, mĂ©diter, regarder la forĂȘt ou observer les oiseaux, la vue changeante fascinera tout spectateur. L'espace de vie confortable Ă  aire ouverte - avec poĂȘle Ă  bois pour une ambiance de chalet - est idĂ©al pour socialiser pendant la cuisson, et continue sur une grande terrasse privĂ©e, idĂ©ale pour dĂ©guster un repas (si le temps le permet), socialiser, ou prendre un moment tranquille seul avec la forĂȘt.

Vous pouvez vous sentir comme si vous dormez dans les arbres que chaque chambre dispose de vues sur la forĂȘt isolĂ©e des grands cĂšdres rouges. Pendant l'hiver, vous pouvez casser votre fenĂȘtre et laisser le ruisseau se prĂ©cipiter pour vous endormir.

Cet espace est idéal pour ceux qui veulent s'éloigner des sentiers battus et qui recherchent une expérience basée sur la nature. Situé au coeur du parc, vous pouvez accéder à des sentiers de randonnée à gogo dans toutes les directions - vers le bas dans les anciens géants le long de la riviÚre Goldstream ou jusqu'à la hauteur du mont. Finalyson pour les vues de toute la région. Aussi isolé que vous pouvez le penser, nous sommes situés à seulement 5 minutes des commodités à Langford (magasins, restaurants, films ect) et à 15 minutes du centre-ville de Victoria. Seulement 1 km de l'autoroute 1, c'est un excellent point d'accÚs pour explorer la partie sud de l'ßle - 20 minutes de Sooke, 15 minutes de Mill Bay, 20 minutes de Cowichan Valley, 50 minutes de Nanaimo.

Il y a un lave-vaisselle et une laveuse / sécheuse pour votre commodité - nous fournissons de la lessive et du savon à vaisselle pour que le savon soit écologique (nous sommes sur une fosse septique et nous chérissons notre eau de puits délicieusement propre).

Peaceful retreat among the trees

We spend three nights in this lovely place. Tucked in the woods, comfortable, with everything we needed to make us happy. Close to some small hikes to waterfalls, plus ice cream mountain just down the road! Would recommend this place to anyone.

Firstly, Kristen was a fantastic host! She was a great local guide and had fantastic hike recommendations, plus she thought of everything! Firewood, laundry detergent, coffee, and tea, etc! She was such a kind and caring host. I wish every host were like Kristen!Secondly, the property and house were gorgeous! It was more out of the way for our time in Victoria, but soooo worth it. We are less keen on big cities anyway, so it was lovely to be out of the way of downtown Victoria, but still quite close. There was a stream right next to the house, and leaving my window open at night to listen to the stream as I was falling asleep was like my own version of heaven. PNW forests are the best on Earth (imo) and staying at Kristen's property really did them justice; it was tranquil and amazingly beautiful.

Beautiful Location

Kristen provided a clean, wonderful place to stay and was a pleasure to deal with. For our family, a quiet location nestled in the woods is perfect, and yet it was close enough to all the locations around Victoria that we needed to be as to not be inconvenient.

Cozy forest retreat

Beautiful and well-apportioned retreat with only trees in sight. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Five minutes to the Goldstream provincial park welcome center. Felt like a world away from everything, but only a half hour from downtown and Buchart Gardens.

Great Forest Retreat

Fantastic hosts, very responsive, nice kitchen appliances and tools - felt like a home and not a hotel. We were able to work remotely and it was a safe environment for our toddler. Location was fantastic to take quick walks with our toddler on nearby trails, but also had surprisingly easy access to the shops in Langford. Would happily stay there again.

Amazing

Awesome stay in the woods.

This is an absolutely amazing property in a stunning setting. It is convenient to all amenities, including shopping, hiking, exploring either the Victoria area or up Island towards the north. Our hosts were extremely helpful and available.

A true retreat

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The home had all the amenities and a cozy feel with great beds! We enjoyed the creek that flowed through the back yard and the Goldstream Park gave us the green nature we craved.

Beautiful retreat

This was a wonderful way to visit relatives in Victoria and enjoy a magical rainforest retreat, equipped with wood stove, gorgeous kitchen and bathroom, plus a bedroom that felt like a treehouse fort. Best sleeps. Privacy. Welcoming hosts. Peacefulness.

Secluded and idyllic

Great location. Felt secluded yet close to route to tourist spots and get away locations. Accommodation was spot on. We loved our stay. Did some trails, saw sea otters, bald eagles, turkey eagles, woodpecker, deer. Had whale watch trip saw hump backed whales. Very emotional and special!

The house was updated and very clean. The owner is next door and always quick to respond to questions. The location is ideal since it is close to restaurants but in a secluded wooded area with hiking trails nearby. The road to the house is narrow and hilly with some blind turns. Going into the town of Langford can be tricky since you have to make a left turn onto a fairly busy road. It can take a while to cross during the morning or evening rush hours. Alternatively you can turn right and drive to the next turn around which will require additional time.One evening we saw two barred owls in the back yard as well as a doe and her fawn the next morning. Overall this is a great rental.

Great experience!

We unfortunately could only stay for a weekend at Kristen's and Rudi's place. It is easily one of the best houses we have ever stayed. The house is very spacious, contains all the amenities you need (well-equipped kitchen) and was super clean. It is located just a short drive into goldstream provincial park but it gives you the feeling of being away from it all. We woke up to whistling of the birds and the sound of the creek that runs just beside the house. Perfect! It is a short drive to the stores on millstream (10 min) and 10 min down the road is Victoria, so everything is very close by. Needless to say, the area is lovely to visit. The house has a garden with a little playground, which our young children enjoyed very much! Especially playing with Kristen and Rudi's kids. Kristen and Rudi were great hosts, providing useful tips for visiting places/restaurants in the area. They were very hospitable. We would definitively return again and highly recommend!

A beautifully appointed duplex apartment nestled in the forest. The BBQ on the deck looking up at the surrounding trees is magnificent. Very private, charming furnishings, and so comfortable to come back to each day.

A lovely retreat, close to everything.

The property is tucked into the wilderness, but only a short drive from all the amenities of Langford, the nature of Sooke, and the tourist opportunities of Victoria. The accommodation was very comfortable and everything was well prepared. Communication with the host was great. Highly recommended!

Amazing!!!

The place was amazing and there was lots to see but the best part is all the trails that are close by that you can go to. I would highly recommend this place for its amazing views and nature walks and all the animals to see.

Cozy hide away cabin

Lovely people, cozy warm atmosphere, even when the winds blew out the power they had a generator ready to go and were attentive to help out in any way. Beds are comfy, space is lovely, setting in the forest is magical, and so reasonably priced!

Oasis close to everything

This is a gloriously secluded forest oasis just minutes away from everything you would need. Loved it. So peaceful. And the hosts were excellent.
