Cascade Cottage - 6 personnes - Exford - Parc National d'Exmoor

Cascade Cottage prend son nom de la cascade qui coule du lac sur la colline au-dessus du chalet; Edgcott L'eau remplit le lac, puis passe sous une passerelle en bois directement devant la porte. Le chalet peut accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes dans trois chambres et est idéalement situé à environ 800 mètres du centre d'Exford, au cœur du parc national d'Exmoor.

La porte d'entrée ouvre sur la cuisine spacieuse avec grande table à manger; le salon a deux canapés en cuir, deux fauteuils et un poêle à bois. Il y a aussi une buanderie et toilettes en bas à l'arrière de la propriété. A l'étage, deux chambres doubles (un lit king-size, un lit double), les deux avec salle de bains comprenant des douche sur le bassin de bain, WC et lavabo. La troisième chambre est un jumeau, qui est accessible via l'une des chambres doubles.

The grounds provided a fabulous area for our 6 year old and 2 dogs. The location is wonderful with an easy walk into Exford and it’s a lovely village-looking forward to our next visit already!

Set in the heart of Exmoor, this was a great base to explore the region. When we visit the area, we always (8 times) book this cottage.

Exford is a charming village at the very heart of Exmoor National Park, set in a beautiful valley where the River Exe begins its long journey south to the sea.



The village is centred around a traditional green, with stone cottages, ancient bridges over the river, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Exford has long been a popular base for walkers, riders, and anglers, and it remains one of the finest starting points for exploring Exmoor's open moorland, wooded valleys, and dramatic coastline.



Village Amenities



Exford has a well-stocked community shop and post office selling groceries, newspapers, and everyday essentials. There are two pubs serving food and drink, and a tea room offering homemade cakes and cream teas. The village also has a primary school, a children's play area on the green, and a car park.



Nearby Shopping



The nearest mini-supermarket and petrol station is in Wheddon Cross, approximately 5 miles away. Dulverton, around 8 miles south, is a handsome small town on the southern edge of the National Park with a good range of independent shops, a butcher, a chemist, and the Exmoor National Park Visitor Centre.



For larger supermarkets, Minehead is approximately 12 miles away and has Tesco, Morrisons, and Lidl, as well as most high street banks and other shops. Taunton, Tiverton, and Barnstaple are all within about 25 miles and offer full town-centre shopping.
