A spacious and well equipped rustic lodge holiday in the stunning Devonshire countryside. The location is quiet and rural with decent links to nearby towns and beaches. Outside areas are excellent for relaxing and dining. Good communication from hosts.

What a gorgeous place very relaxing and tranquil stunning views i didn't want to go home, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay!

We are a group of 4 friends on a walking holiday and this cabin suited us perfectly. Plenty of room and a lovely garden. I'm afraid I can't comment on the hot tub as we didn't have time to get in it!

A great stay!

Spacious accommodation in a beautiful setting, it is central for the seaside and surfing as well as the countryside and Exmoor. The outdoor areas are peaceful in the sunshine or shade with walks around the property too. Matt and Pru are thorough and thoughtful with the information and items provided. Brilliant stay!

We had a brilliant stay with extended family to celebrate a birthday. Was perfect for the whole family, including children and dogs. Loved the property, garden, woods and surrounding land, as well as the hot tub. Perfect level of contact with the hosts. Thank you!

Lovely cabin

Perfect holiday home for extended family get together. Beautiful remote setting with plenty to do in the local area. The cabin was well provisioned and catered to the needs of a group with a wide age range (5-70 years). Matt and Pru are kind hosts and are excellent with communication. We would certainly recommend them and the area.

Woodpecker lodge

This was our second stay at WPL and absolutely loved it. While here we celebrated my dad’s 50th birthday so there was so many beautiful family memories made Thankyou so much pru and Matt!! Best of luck to you all!

Superb Christmas getaway

We Stayed at Woodpecker Lodge over Christmas, needing a break from the usual stresses we couldn't of asked for a better place to stay, Matt and Pru made the lodge very homely with some lovely Christmas decorations and a tree. The local area is lovely and quiet, there are some beautiful views from walking around the grounds, along with the hot tub and log fire it all helped with making our stay very relaxing. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to relax!

Excellent Cottage

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as good as the first time. The accommodation suited us all and the garden is very secure for the children to run around in. Matt & Pru have done lots of work to the field and they boys loved playing up there. Therefore, overall, I do not hesitate in recommending this property for a lovely holiday.

Great house, ideal for families

It is enough space for the seven of us. We had a great time with the whirlpool, the fireplace and the very good dvd collection- especially on rainy days. Everything was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location was quiet surrounded by nature. A very beautyful house.

Relaxing

Very comfortable plenty of of room for dog to run around and fenced in easy access to reach local costal areas or if you want to stay at the lodge its peaceful good cooking facilities to cook as we done some meals instead of eating out.We said we would like to go back some time in the future.

Wow Wow Wow

Loved this property, my children thought it was like staying in a tree house!! The house was clean and had everything you needed, the hot tub was a bonus. We loved that it was off grid and that they are so keen on recycling. The house is perfectly located for some great days in North Devon and some fantastic beaches. Would definitely come back.

Peace and quiet

Family holiday for 6 adults, 2 children and a dog. Property easy to find and great location. Garden secure so the dog and oldest grandson could run free. Woodland with property great for little adventures. Easy access to coast and great walks all within a short drive. Good facilities at the property especially the decking area which we used all day.

A snuggly Retreat

Just what the doctor ordered! A beautiful lodge so well equipped. Just what we were looking for, 4 days of complete relaxation. We were so lucky with the snow which made everything so magical especially just before Christmas. Will definitely look to book again maybe with extended family. Thank you.
