Authentic & Old Cottage Highland mis à jour pour l'ère moderne, niché sur deux acres de terrain boisé, dont un ruisseau et des sentiers pédestres.

La cabine offre une chambre double détente, une chambre confortable avec un lit double et un lit superposé double. Il y a aussi l'option d'un canapé dépliant pour les arrangements de couchage supplémentaire. Vous pourrez également profiter de la salle de bains, récemment rénové. La cuisine est une partie de la salle de séjour et permet à chacun d'être inclus dans l'activité. Il est équipé de stockage et la plupart des éléments que vous auriez normalement besoin pour la préparation. La table à manger est parfait pour un repas de famille ou les soirs de match. D'autres préfèrent se détendre dans le fauteuil de cuir ou une chaise longue et profiter d'un feu. Les enfants et les adultes apprécieront errant la propriété et découvrir des cachettes amusantes, le ruisseau, une maison d'arbre, un pavillon par le ruisseau, et une balançoire pour plus de sensations fortes.

Une courte promenade vous emmène à Mirror Lake ou le lac Sequoia pour nourrir les canards, les poissons ou en canoë. Nous avons un canot prêt à être utilisé au lac Miroir. Les engins de pêche est fourni ainsi.

Profitez d'une lecture de l'après-midi dans la balançoire porche ou faire la sieste par le feu.

Pour le type aventureux, il ya de nombreuses possibilités de longues randonnées et des visites aux chutes d'eau, certains à quelques minutes seulement. Vous pouvez également profiter de la tyrolienne ou le rafting et de tubes en voyageant seulement un peu court. Si vous êtes à la recherche de l'activité de l'hiver, à proximité Valley Sapphire offre du ski et de la neige tube.

Pour les amateurs de boutiques et de restaurants, le centre-ville de Highlands est à seulement quelques minutes et possède fines, magasins de propriété locale, restaurants uniques et des choix de vins, des galeries et antiquaires. Il ya aussi un spa dans la ville qui offre le summum de la détente luxueuse. juste une route panoramique de 20 minutes, caissiers, NC offre d'autres excursions et manger shopping.

The home is in a nice location. We loved that it was pet friendly. The front porch seems a little junky/cluttered but the inside was decorated nicely. I appreciated the extra details like nice towels.

I’ve stayed here many times. This little cottage in the woods is one of my favorite places to go. Everything you need is right here. The host is extremely accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Awesome location - loved the space and the canoe!

Everything was as listed and the area was super - was able to walk down to the lake to go canoeing and we walked into town several times - we like to walk and hike, so walking into town was an adventure itself. We used the fire place and it worked fabulously.

Cabin is exactly as advertised. Greatlocation.

Lovely updated cabin in great location. Perfect for a short stay. For anything more than a long weekend I would want a better kitchen and 2 baths. Only real negative was that blood was on the bed linens and the bath light switch when we checked in. The owner was very responsive and addressed the issue immediately.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. It is unfortunate that from time to time things happen beyond our control. The small amount of blood on the bed coverlet and light switch seem consistent with someone having a small knick on a knuckle or such that they were unaware of as they they made a final pass through the room. When notified of this, we had our cleaner there within the hour to provide a brand new coverlet for the bed. As for the the wish of an additional bathroom and larger kitchen, that is strictly personal preference and the property is as stated in the pictures and description of the cabin. We spend the summer there with our family of five and do quite well in the space. We are always happen to answer any additional questions prospective renters may have concerning the property.

we came in town for our 29th wedding anniversary!The only thing we noticed was the front door was a little jammy to open and there was absolutely no soap to use. Cleaning products were by the front door.

Cabin Retreat

I just LOVED my stay at this cabin. The outdoor space is one of the best I've had the opportunity to enjoy. The front porch has plush oversize seating and a swing for morning coffee and late night relaxation with beautiful lighting. There was also a covered deck area steps away from the house that sat next to the creek which allowed you to stretch out and listed to the water and soak up nature. This cabin had just the right amount of rustic quality with modern finishes in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable as well. I will be back.

Generally, it is a lovely little cottage in a very quiet area. We would say that the uneven stone and wood entrance steps can be a bit challenging when covered in wet leaves, the tree swing is broke and so would be a bit hazardous for kids to use, and there doesn't seem to be any insulation under the floors so they are very cold in winter weather. But the owners have provided 2 roll-around electric heaters that came in handy to warm up the bathroom in the morning.

Exactly as advertised

This is a very quaint and comfortable cabin located close to downtown Highlands. 5 stars. AC worked well. Nicely decorated. TV/Internet worked well. This is not a critique, but the only downside would be the kitchen is small and there is no dishwasher. Very basic in terms of cooking potential. Everything else is great and we look forward to renting again!

Vintage Mountain Retreat

If you want to step back in time and stay at a vintage mountain cabin, this is the place. While everything is comfortable and up-to-date, there is still the feeling that generations of a family have loved being together here, and their happiness has soaked into the walls. A velvet silence settles over the place at night and the porch is so comfortable I could have slept there. Take the hefty security deposit seriously, however, since you may have to wait a couple of weeks for it to be refunded. Or you could just accept it as one of the hurdles you have to clear to stay at a place this lovely.

Most comfortable rental EVER

Cabin was spotlessly clean and had the MOST comfortable furniture. The front porch is a haven. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas, including a fire pit on the side of the house not pictured on VRBO, which we enjoyed. There are string lights in the outdoor areas, which makes for a cool atmosphere at night and helps you get around in the dark. The property was big enough to keep my 12-year-old son busy, but close enough that I didn’t worry. The creek pavilion is really amazing, I wish we had gotten to enjoy it more, but it was a short trip. There’s a heater there which we didn’t even turn on, but would make for a nice nighttime hangout spot. There are also two fire pits in this area, right next to the creek. The creek itself was small but beautiful, trickling over rocks. No “swimming hole”, but it would be fun to play in in the summer. The house is in a neighborhood, and while we were aware that others were around, we barely heard any cars and never heard a human voice. It was very peaceful. Beds were very comfy. No barking dogs to wake us up in the morning, which has been an annoyance for us at many other mountain rentals. Highlands is the cutest little town with many amenities, and is very quick and easy to access from the cabin. This is a very convenient location for exploring the area, which is beautiful and rife with waterfalls! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return!!

We live in Marietta, GA and loved going to the Highlands each year for our wedding anniversary. In 2014 and 14 years together, we decided that it was time to have a place that we could go and enjoy time away as a family more often.

Highlands, at 4,100 MSL, can be 10 - 15 degrees cooler than Atlanta, which is attractive to us. Many times in July, we are wearing pants. We also chose Highlands because of its high-end shops and dinning as well as ample choice of outdoor activity.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We choose this property because of its Old Highlands history, walking distance to two lakes, proximity to town and the 2 acres with a creek, which kept our 3 young children exploring for hours. We are the third family to own this cottage since it was built in 1948. The house had great bones and after some TLC and a remodeled bathroom, it is up to date in rustic elegance.
