La vie au bord du lac à son meilleur sur Toddy Pond

Stonehill Cottage est joliment situé sur Toddy Pond vierge. Face au coucher du soleil, la maison reçoit beaucoup de soleil pendant la journée pour profiter sur le pont ou au bord de l'eau. Plongez du quai en eau profonde, pagayez et nagez dans l'eau claire, détendez-vous et écoutez les huards. À l'intérieur, le salon spacieux encourage plus de détente - six doubles portes s'ouvrent sur la vue sur le lac permettant l'air frais et le soleil dans un salon double qui offre beaucoup d'espace pour tout le monde et une salle à manger pleine grandeur pouvant facilement accueillir huit personnes. Une cuisine entièrement équipée et un grill extérieur permettent aux cuisiniers de tous types de préparer leurs repas. Les chambres comprennent une chambre en bas avec lits jumeaux et deux chambres à l'étage avec lits doubles et vue sur le lac. Chaque chambre à l'étage a sa propre salle de bain privée. Un coin salon à l'étage offre un autre endroit pour profiter de la vue sur le lac. Cette maison est vraiment confortable et offre une base idéale pour profiter du lac et de la beauté du Maine. Très familial avec des maisons de fées dans la cour et des jouets pour les enfants.

This is a beautiful home and setting and is even more private and peaceful than we could have expected on such a big popular pond. The hosts were wonderful and very trusting with their sharing of water recreation boats, floats and toys. The proximity to beaches at Branch Lake and Craig Pond for shallow sandy water swimming for our five year old grandson was a plus. Also near miles of trails leading to mountain vistas in the Wildlands. A gorgeous less traveled part of Maine. Easy lovely drives to Deer Isle or Mt. Desert, and a quick jaunt to Ellsworth for restaurants and shopping.

The house was very comfortable and included many amenities, including; small sailboat, paddleboards, snorkels, tubes and lawn games. There was a wonderful dock where it was safe to jump off the end into deep water. There was also a sandy beach area for the children. Sunsets were spectacular as we sat in the evening in Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake. This is our third year coming for a full week and we couldn’t be more enthusiastic about returning again and again. There are many opportunities to venture out such as Fort Knox in Bucksport, Craig Pond fish hatchery in Orland, and Acadia national Park approximately one hour away. Since I live in the area, all I wanted to do was swim and relax with this house and property is ideal for! We love it at Stone Hill!

This was our second stay at this lovely home. It's roomy, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. The lake is beautiful. We swam and kayaked, and also hiked a number of beautiful trails nearby. We recommend this property without reservations.

Perfect Honeymoon

We made Stonehill cottage our home base for our honeymoon, with its close proximity to bar harbor and Acadia national park it was perfect. Not to mention the stunning beauty of Toddy Pond for relaxing days in.. it made for the perfect fall getaway.

The peaceful and tranquil location of this property is the perfect way to experience the region. We loved waking up to lake views in the morning and taking out the paddle board and kayaks in the afternoon. It’s a manageable launching location for Acadia NP. Inside is cozy and comfortable and the kitchen is well outfitted for cooking. The host provided clear access and checkout instructions and was responsive.

Toddy has been a very special place for our family. Can’t beat the fantastic dock for a long run and jump into the lake. And the sunsets are always awesome.

My family had a great time at this house. We enjoyed using the well-stocked kitchen, watching movies in the big, comfy living room, and using the kayaks on the pond. It's a very comfortable and pretty house with great views.

Toddy Dream House

A beautiful Lakeside property that you’ll never want to leave when you stay there! My girls grew up on Toddy Pond and now their kids are experiencing the same joy as they did when they were young. Swimming, fishing, boating, floating, can’t fires, s’mores and more.

Beautiful pond house

We had an amazing time at the cottage. The house was so comfortable and relaxing that we didn't want to leave. One week was not enough! Toddy Pond was so nice and the house came with everything to enjoy it, kayaks, paddleboards, etc... Thank you Susan for letting us stay at your beautiful place! Hopefully we'll be back soon!

Toddy Pond is a beautiful, clean lake. We had a wonderful time kayaking and swimming off the dock. The house is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. It is also private and quiet. We had a wonderful time.

Charming Cottage Getaway

This beautifully furnished and well stocked cottage was perfect for our small family vacation. The lake was easily accessible, and we enjoyed using the kayaks and paddle board. We appreciated how well provisioned this cottage was, as everything from beach towels to puzzles, games and books were available for our use. I loved the peace and serenity of the lake, and listening to the loons call every evening. Stonehill Cottage was a wonderful place to rest, relax, and enjoy time at Toddy Pond with family.

the perfect lake getaway!

what a great find! the house itself was huge and just as pictured, with an incredible view from most every room. everything we could have needed was on site, including all kinds of water toys and floats, and a cabinet full of games for rainy days. susan was so responsive and easy to communicate with. will be back!

Great location on toddy pond. Very quiet, except for the loons The house was immaculate , very clean.The dock at the laje was great also. It was deep enough to dive in . The dock also came in handy, because i like to bring a 16 ft fishing boat to get around. the 7 mile lake. They had lots of inner tubes a d kayaks were alot of fun too. We hope to stay again next summer....

Incredible!

Words can hardly express the genuinely amazing week my family and friends enjoyed at Susan’s lake house. Every essential was present to make our time one of the best vacations of a lifetime. A perfect retreat with all the essentials for water fun including, paddle boards, kayaks,and tubes to snorkels, fishing poles and more. The house was warm and inviting. Our host left nothing for us to worry about, all amenities found as listed. We are grateful to have been able to share in this amazing property and are hopeful to return in future. Thank you!!

Serenity and tranquility

The house is great, well appointed, nicely decorated. It had everything needed. We stayed there with intention to visit Acadia park but we shortened our visit of Acadia to enjoy the lake and did some kayaking instead. We would give 5 points if we had better communication with the property owner. Normally we get owners respose much quicker if something is needed. This time it was over an hour, and in the situation we were in we needed it much quicker. Still we recommend to stay in this place. Also, Google maps does provide right directions to the house, Apple works better, but you need to use direction from VRBO.

Perfect everything

Only good things to say about this stay. Location is great, clean and quiet. The house is cute, beautiful and unique. The decor is very cozy, there's so many comforts included & in great condition. Communication was great & the owner is very accommodating & helpful. We loved firepitting looking out at the pond & relaxing in the hammock. There's wood for sale everywhere cheap. We were lucky to have a hot week in September to go swimming. It was a bit hot in the upstairs bedrooms with the ac only downstairs but we used the fans. We didn't find the remote for the high hallway ceiling fan until we checked out. It was a wonderful 3 nights, we wish we could've stayed longer but would love to stay again sometime, maybe with family members.

Perfect for a peaceful retreat

This property has a lot to offer and is well maintained. It is isolated and peaceful. One thing to know is that the drive down to the property at night can be intimidating, so it is advisable to arrive during daylight when you first come, otherwise you may feel uneasy. Once you've done the drive once, it is less of a problem. The unpaved road is maintained but still bumpy. Google maps directions were spot on and there are property markers, but if you are "city folk" it will be unusual. The kitchen has everything needed and we were surprised that there were some basic food/condiment supplies left, which we then added to because we weren't aware that there would be anything. We wish we had time to use the kayaks and paddleboards but it wasn't meant to be. Beautiful at surise and sunset. We had a comfortable stay and did not lack for anything. Grocery store in Bucksport had everything we needed as well.

Beautiful pond sunsets

The pond is clean & beautiful, with great views of sunsets & activity on the lake. Peaceful mornings. Love listening to the loons, watching baby geese & ducks & firepits.Loons weren't as active as last year, never saw but heard occasionally,so exciting when we did.Well stocked kitchen.Love the layout of house, for 2 couples it's perfect to have same size bedrooms. We felt that it's time to fix some issues around the house as they're the same as last year. The(white) bedroom doors don't close & lock so the door into the catwalk sitting area would creak back & forth with any breeze. We had to push the chair against it from the outside to stop that. The door into the bedroom sticks so you have to push really hard to close & when opened from outside it's hard, & loud to the person inside. The right side window wouldn't crank open at all so only 1 small window opens for air. The screen doors to the deck don't slide easily, maybe need some wd40 or something to help them slide. When trying to get in quickly to prevent bugs coming in, it's not really possible to close fast behind you. The cleaning was just ok. On 1st day my SIL found a lot of black hair on the shower walls of the right side bedroom. We didn't use the downstairs shower but there was a crumpled up, dried up wash cloth in the back corner of it. Cobwebs around the bottoms of the kitchen appliances & cabinets & wasn't swept under the couches- dust & puzzle piece, all noticed when I dropped something & went to pick it up.
