The villa offers an extremely peaceful location, among the gentle rolling hills just above the mondan village Bellagio, within 20 minutes walking to the centre.
The beautiful pool,( 5x10), surrounded by olives groves and a striking garden with lovingly manicured lawn and colourful displays of copious varieties of flowers such as red roses and Lila ortensie, looks across the 2 branches of of the Bellagio promontory, with the mountains in the distance, an extraordinary view. the villa fatures a panoramic pergola weith space to eat outside to enjoy such a view!
Accommodation is offered 5 en suite double bedrooms with bathroom the villa comfortably sleeps 10 . Plus ev one or 2 kids in sofa bed

The village is reachable with about 15 minutes walking with a path of 800 mt - at 400 mt first supermarkets and a sporting centre.

Perfection!

This must be the most beautiful place on earth! Pictures do not do it justice. Our combined family of 10 couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay at Il Poggio. So comfortable, clean, breathtaking vista. Francesca was a delight to meet and work with.

Everyone should stay here!

This property is amazing. Spectacular views of the lake. Gorgeous gorgeous grounds. Each room has its own kitchenette and living room. Francesca is lovely. 20 minute walk to downtown. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend!

Amazing stay for the whole family!

We just returned from a week at this beautiful property in Bellagio. I cannot begin to describe how relaxing and lovely the entire experience was - how kind and responsive our hosts were, how the beauty and serenity of the home was only barely surpassed by the breathtaking beauty that surrounds you in Lago di Como. We rented the entire villa for our family of 16 who is spread out over several countries, and all of the cousins and siblings had plenty of time to reconnect. The location of this villa is within walking distance of several grocery stores, and the local dairy shop (don't miss the butter there!!), as well as Bellagio (20 min by foot), Villa Melzi (~10 min by foot), and San Giovanni, Loppia and the public beach on Lake Como (~10 min by foot as well). Just note that the walk back up is a steep one - but all of us - including the intrepid grandparents in our group - managed it pretty much daily! The pool is even more beautiful than in these pictures, as are the rooms and living space in the villa. The kitchen easily fit all 16 of us on the one day we had gray weather in the morning. There is also a seating area outside where we enjoyed the amazing views, and many family breakfasts and dinners. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with family or friends, yet still have plenty of private / family space - this is a terrific choice. If you are looking for incredible beauty, peace and quiet, a relaxing pool, attentive and helpful hosts, space for the kids to run around and play, and yet still be close to a fun town with lots of restaurants, shops, gelaterias, and boat services to explore - you have found your dream spot. Seriously. Just go. We look forward to returning soon!

Perfect holiday for a large group!!

I usually spend my holidays with a large group of friends: every year we choose a different location and rent a villa for a whole week. This year we went to this Villa near Como lake and I honestly think this was one of the best villas I have ever been in. The villa is spacious, cosy, with a basic and elegant style. The outside, indeed, is indescribable: a wonderful garden, surrounded by the hills, with a great lake-view pool. When I first saw the pictures on the internet I was really impressed, but once we arrived the villa and the garden were even much better than in the pictures! So, I want to thank Sabrina and her staff for their professional booking service, I will rely again on Villa & Charme for our next group holiday!

Aperitivo with a view!

This location is exceptional, a majestic home with a fabulous view to Como lake, great for groups. We were four couples, and had lots of room. Need to have transportation as it is a little out of the way from downtown but worth it for the location, the quiet and view. Completely furnished almost unbelievably in every way. As with previous reviews it is mainly the breath taking views from the garden and the pool that are the real winner. We spent most of our time outside, in fact. We enjoyed the pool so much in the hot days, for a swim or an aperitivo together. I cannot recommend this place more highly. Overall, if you can get the numbers together and want to stay in a villa around Como Lake then this is your place.

Great relax in front of a perfect view

Lovely house in a beautiful rural location, with elevated views over the lake. The garden with table and benches is perfect, with a beautiful pool and large sunshade umbrellas when needed. Ample parking space for cars and in our case bikes too. All in all a good place to spend some quiet days, relaxing with the family. The villa is provided with anything ( wifi, satellite TV and air conditioning...). There are also some nice walks from the house with great view. My family and me enjoyed our holiday in this villa very much. I can’t wait to return again!

The home was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The views and pool area were fabulous.

The owners, Francesca and Odella, were accommodating and helpful. They grew up in the home, so they do ask that certain rules be adhered to. But they were always sweet and quite responsive to any problems or questions that we had. The few drawbacks were that they don't supply you with any bare necessities. Be prepared to purchase toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, etc. Also, the wifi was quite weak. Other than that, it was lovely and quite comfortable for a group of 16 family and friends.

We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks. Overall, the experience has been great. The house is in an excellent condition, very clean, tastefully furnished and well equipped All advertised features, from a full-size pool to a splendid garden allow to entertain a big party. The pictures make no justice to the splendid view and location. We travelled as a large family of 12 (8 adults and four kids) and utilized all available bedrooms. Bathrooms are spacious and high quality and would look appropriate in any five stars hotel. The house is located on the outskirts of Bellagio, about 5 minute drive from the centre. We, as a family, enjoy hiking and the location of the house allowed to make interesting hikes with kids to the village and the harbour. The area is great for riding a bike as well. There is a​ restaurant within a short walking distance. The owners were very nice and pleasant to deal with. I would say these were by far the most friendly and hospitable hosts we ever encountered renting upscale houses in different places around the world. We were also offered assistance virtually by Sabrina of Villa & Charme that helped us with all question we had and made our holiday even more enjoyable!

Simply perfect Villa!

This villa was amazing from start to finish! It easily accommodated my extended family which was a total of ten people. The views are breath-taking! Villa &​ ​Charme staff insured we were taken care of for our week-long stay arranging a private chef for my husband's birthday, as I requested. Sabrina, the manager, was available for any questions ​during the booking process and really made our vacation special. The design of the villa is also well thought out with its huge lawn and the impeccable pool. The amenities are beautiful and modern, the pictures are wonderful, but it is even more spectacular in person. The location was perfect for us, as we could walk to the ferry and visit neighbouring towns by boat or by car. Grazie!!!

A special autumn on the lake

The manager of this property is super friendly and was very prompt in answering queries I had through the booking process as we were a large group including 6 young children. The property itself is in immaculate condition and very cleaned. There is a lot of space within the house and a lovely garden and a patio outside. The property is gated so it’s very secure and the children can be left outside to play. Views are absolutely stunning. We went in autumn so we couldn't use the pool but with a hotter weather this is a property that you would just want to relax in. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. Sabrina perfectly organized the transfer from the airport and we didn’t rent a car for the whole week, since you may walk to Bellagio and the ferry. There is however plenty of parking inside the property. All in all, an extremely comfortable stay with very friendly service in a jaw dropping beautiful part of Lake Como. Very highly recommend!

LUXURY ON LAKE COMO

I don't know how to put into words how wonderful this place is. Nestled on the edge of Lake Como with everything you could wish for. It is a very beautiful property next to an endless field completely surrounded by mountains in front of the lake. A warm welcome, an amazing chef, a fantastic view, great swimming pool, lovely gardens and the proximity to the village. We had the most amazing week here in August, boating around the lake, popping into restaurants, visiting Villas and just diving into the surprisingly warm lake. The villa is comfortable and homely. We had a fantastic time, thank you to all the staff. The only down part was that we only booked 1 week. I wish we would have booked more. We would definitely come again!

The villa itself was amazing

Hi We loved staying at the villa and the grounds were amazing for our children to run around and play in. The pool was fabulous and our daughter learnt to swim whilst we were there! Francesca and her sister were lovely and welcoming and went out of their way to offer advice on things to do - we got married whilst in Bellagio and Francesca even bought us flowers! We also had a chef in on our final evening who made us the most delicious meal and served it to us – we were lucky with the weather in that we ate outside. The villa itself was amazing – we hired the entire place for family and there was plenty of space for everyone in the kitchen and dining areas and it was great to have the privacy of separate suites also. The location of the villa is great for access to the lake beach and Bellagio town. We would definitely love to go back! Thanks G.
