La Stazione est vraiment une ancienne station de chemin de fer, construit en 1924, le logement depuis 1944, sans cesse rénové. Situé à la périphérie du village de Colle di Compito sur la route entre Lucca et Pontedera. Distance à Lucca 15 minutes, environ 50 à Florence, Pise (aéroport) 40, à la mer à environ 20 Spacieuse (320 m²), de hauts plafonds, jardin (3000 m²) avec grande piscine, terrasse, herbes et de nombreux arbres fruitiers. Tennis de table! Weber grills. Omniscient personne de contact sur place qui peut adapter votre séjour en Toscane comme vous le souhaitez.
La maison comprend cinq chambres, trois salles de bains, salon, salle à manger / salon, grande cuisine de campagne, et de stockage / buanderie avec lave-linge et sèche-linge. Comme il est une ancienne gare de train, il est très aéré et de hauts plafonds.
Grande piscine avec terrasse de la piscine, une terrasse avec des tables et des parasols, des canapés et des chaises longues à côté de la piscine. Douche extérieure avec eau chaude.
Villa La Stazione situé à la périphérie du village de Colle di Compito (entre Lucques et Pontedera). Up dans le village il y a un petit supermarché, un bar, une pizzeria et un restaurant très charmant, Il Giardinetto, tous à distance de marche. Dans l'autre sens (voir la carte ou Google Earth) est un petit lac, idéal pour la marche ou le jogging. Dans le village voisin Santandrea jouer au tennis et récupère son eau de source claire dans les robinets situés juste à côté de la route.

Great family gathering

We loved everything about our stay. Great location for visiting Lucca. Pool, ping pong table and cable ready TV gave the kids plenty to do when we weren't exploring. Conad market, local bakery, pizza place, garden restaurant were really all we needed for our stay.

We loved our stay at the villa! We were 10 people aged 4-70, and had plenty of space. The house is massive and full of character, with height ceilings and large windows with views over the Tuscan countryside. The garden and pool area is fantastic and perfect for outdoor dining and drinks in the sun. Ingrid and jan were both very responsive and helpful. Hope to come back soon!

Tuscany at its best

Very charming Villa in beautiful environment, great pool and lounge area... actually beyond expectation. Typical Italian style, not too perfect in every detail but genuine and classy. We enjoyed every minute. Specially worth to mention is the service and communication in every matter from Jan and Ingrid; such as f.e. a great dinner in-house arranged by Ingrid. Very nice place to stay

Very charming house. Location good to explore around. Facilities good and a lot of utensils in the kitchen. We asked for a home made dinner at home and it was amazing. Improvements: Swimming pool doesn't have fence so kids cannot run around unsupervised. Dogs are a nightmare next door barking through the night. Gardener trying to come twice and the last day, he started to do the garden before we left the house so we could not leave kids running around or use the swimming pool.

Relaxing Rural Retreat

The stately "Stazione", a refurbished train station was the perfect choice for our family of 10 adults for four nights. Centrally located with easy access to Pisa, Cinque Terre, Lucca and Florence. It was wonderful to come "home" after a day of sightseeing to relax in the pool. Irene was terrific as the on the ground host, timely and gracious with communication while arranging wonderful locally prepared meals and providing good information about area attractions. The villa is well appointed with newer comfortable beds, large airy rooms and inviting common areas for visiting and lounging both inside and out. It was hot and there were a fair amount of mosquitoes when we were there but the screens in the windows made it very pleasant. The home is exactly as presented on VRBO and was very clean. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, tranquile and spacious holiday home!

We loved this spacious and beautiful villa. It is conveniently located in a small village, not far from Lucca and an 20-30 minute car drive from the beach. It was also great to be able to get to Florence just under an hour. We also really appreciated the outdoors area, having our meals in the sun, plus being able to take a walk around the lake. The house itself is just beautiful, the bedrooms upstairs are nicely furnished with views overlooking the hills or the lake, and the common rooms and kitchen down stairs excellent for hanging out together. An extra plus for comfortable beds! It was a bit chilly in the evenings when we were there (early April), but the heating system took care of that. Swift and easy communications with the host was also apprecited. Looking forward to visit again!

This villa was absolutely perfect for our group of 13. There were 5 couples, 2 kids and 1 baby and we stayed there for 5 days. It is out a ways, but we walked the 10 minute walk into town 2 different days and was able to get sandwiches, coffee, pizza and we found a bakery even further into town. Everything was as pictured. The outside was gorgeous and we loved the pool and outdoor dining area. We also got great use out of the ping pong table. Ingrid deserves 5 stars all on her own. She did everything from shuttle us around to order our pizzas for us to hiring a private chef and setting up a wine tour for us. She was incredible and would be reason enough for us to come back and stay at the villa.

A Perfect Countryside Getaway

After touring through Milan and Venice, arriving to the quiet and calm of this villa was the perfect pause in our whirlwind holiday. We were travelling in late August; it was HOT and the pool was a godsend - all 7 of us were in it everyday, several times a day! The kitchen was well appointed and easy to use (appliances). We enjoyed many meals on the outside garden patio and snacks by the pool. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and while there was no air conditioning in the home, if you diligently kept the doors and windows closed during the heat of the day, it was managable. There was ample space for our 2 families to both be together and have separate time if desired. Our hosts were very responsive; both the Owner with the booking process and the property manager who checked us in and helped us out as needed during our stay. This place was a great value for all that could be enjoyed and I would highly recommend making this part of your Italian experience :) Terri.

Ein Haus, bei dem es an Nichts fehlt! Bestens ausgestattet und komfortabel und sehr familiär, könnte man seinen Urlaub auch alleine auf dem Anwesen verbringen. Die Haushälterin Ingrid, steht einem jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und organsisiert auf Wunsch auch kleinere Ausflüge und Events. Alles war sehr sauber und professionell. Lovely, charming old train station with an awesome pool!

This charming and historic train station had room for us all- 7 adults and 2 kids ages 8 and 11. The kitchen is large and fully stocked. Americans probably will purchase ice at the local market, Conad, as well as wonderful cheeses and everything else needed. We cooked most of the time, but there is an excellent pizza place with a nice area to sit on a deck behind it (has gluten free dough if needed) and we enjoyed a beautiful outdoor restaurant that is very close (Il Giardoetto) . It was a very hot week and we used all the fans to try to keep cool at night, and they were much appreciated. We ate outside at a big table under a large umbrella, but the dining room is huge, and the living room was very comfortable for lounging. The local system for recycling is a bit complicated but seems to be the new norm in Italy. The pool is absolutely awesome, beautiful and clean, and we were in it every day- just loved it! Thanks to the excellent hosts.

Charmanter Aufenthalt

Es ist ein altes, aber sehr gepflegtes Objekt - was wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen werden. Wir wurden auf Wunsch mit einem liebevoll hergerichteten Willkommens-Menü begrüßt, dies war wirklich sehr einladend. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr sympathisch und war jederzeit für uns da. Sie organisierte uns ein Weintasting auf einem Weingut, was ich nur jedem empfehlen kann, wenn man schon mal in der Toskana ist. Sie machte unseren Aufenthalt erst so richtig schön. Wer die absolute Ruhe sucht, würde ich das Objekt jedoch nicht empfehlen, der anliegende Militärflughafen ist zu hören und die Nachbars-Hunde ebenfalls. Wir waren jedoch davon nicht gestört und hatten ein rund um traumhafter Urlaub und wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Schönes großes Haus, manchmal sehr laut

Das Haus und das Grundstück insgesamt sind sehr schön und bieten viel Platz. Das Check-In war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert. Was etwas gestört hat war die Lautstärke. Nebenan ist anscheinend ein Militärstützpunkt, zumindest fliegen jeden Tag Militärflugzeuge über das Grundstück. Am Wochenende sind es dann Sportflugzeuge. In der Nacht gibt es öfter mal Hunde, die längere Zeit bellen. Ist kein Fehler der Vermieter, aber gut zu wissen. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt!

Ideal für zwei bis drei Familien

Wir waren mit 8 Erwachsenen (2 Familien) vor Ort. Der ehemalige Bahnhof hat schon ein besonderes Ambiente. Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz, so dass auch 12 Personen hier gut wohnen können ohne sich im Weg zu stehen. Der beleuchtete Pool ist das absolute Highlight . Ausreichend Liegen vorhanden. Ebenso Loungemöbel und eine Hängematte (Fatboy), die allerdings mal gereinigt werden sollte. Sehr schön auch der große Tisch auf der Terrasse, an dem wir jeden Morgen gefrühstückt haben. Wie das Haus, bietet der Garten auch reichlich Platz. Im oberen Stockwerk des Hauses befinden sich die Schlafräume und zwei große Bäder. Alles sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Leider konnten wir die Fenster nicht öffnen, da es zu unserer Zeit eine Invasion von Stinkwanzen gab, die durch alle Ritzen krochen, ist aber wohl eher ein Problem im Herbst. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich Esszimmer, Wohnzimmer, Küche, ein kleines Bad mit Dusche und noch ein großer Raum mit Tischtennisplatte. Das Wohnzimmer wirkt etwas abgewohnt und angestaubt. Dort haben wir uns allerdings auch nie aufgehalten. Die Küche bietet ebenfalls reichlich Platz und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Allerdings schwächelt der Gasherd. Selbst auf höchster Stufe nur eine kleine Flamme. Zudem kann man nur zwei Gasstellen gleichzeitig in Betrieb nehmen, eine Dritte streikt dann. Zu wenig Gasdruck? Wir sind auf die Herde - davon gibt es dann zwei - ausgewichen. Sauberkeit in der Küche mit Einschränkungen in Ordnung. Auf der Dunstabzugshaube und auf dem Kühlschrank hat sich eine Patina aus Staub und Fett gebildet. Ich habe da versehentlich draufgefasst. Ebenso die Müllsituation. Die Behälter für die Mülltrennung mochte man nicht anfassen. Der Grill im Garten haben wir zwar nicht benutzt, aber auch hier waren noch die Reste der letzten Mahlzeit zu erkennen. Lage: Der nächste Supermarkt ist in Richtung Lucca ca. 6 km. Hier bekommt man fast alles und sehr gut. Als Restaurant im Ort ist "Il Giardinetto" sehr zu empfehlen. Ansonsten Lucca (unser Favorit) Pisa und Florenz alles gut zu erreichen.

Golftrip 20-24 september 2019

We are 4 gentlemen that once a Year take a golftrip with our sons and this year we choosed Toscana. And since it was our tenth anniversary we looked for something special. I found La Stazione via Homeaway and fell in love at once. And the house didn’t disappoint us. A fantastic house with spacios rooms, a large garden, and a very nice pool. The house keeper Ingrid gave us a warm welcome and since we arrived rather late we had asked her to fix our breakfast and a welcome dinner. The fridge was full and Ingrid, her son and Anna-Lisa fixed the dinner for us. We were so pleased that we diceded to ask them to come back every evening and cook for us. Unfortunately there was one evening they was booked but we enjoyed there cooking two evenings more. So we give the house 5 stars of 5possible. Per-Åke Ståhl

Heerlijke villa!

We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in deze accommodatie. Het was heel ruim, de bedden waren fijn, alles was netjes en de keuken was uitgerust met meer dan genoeg van alles. De grote tuin met zwembad is perfect om in te ontspannen wanneer de zon schijnt. Verder ligt het op prima afstand van leuke plekken zoals Lucca en Montecarlo. Communicatie met de gastvrouw ging heel gemakkelijk en zij kon ons tips geven over de omgeving en heeft een maaltijd voorbereid voor onze avond van check-in. We zouden hier zeker nog eens terugkomen!

Best Vacation Ever!

I spent most of August 2019 at Villa La Stazione and it was the most wonderful experience, even better than I imagined it would be. I had a milestone birthday in August so I decided to treat myself - well, what a treat.... The location is perfect, just an hour from Florence and 10 minute ride to Lucca, close to the beach, and just a short ride to other towns such as Pisa, Volterra, Cinquale, Siena, La Spezia, Cinque Terre, etc. The Villa is perfect, it was an old train station and the architecture, the layout, even the doors, are just amazing and bring you back in time to what life must have been like in Tuscany. However, there is a beautiful built-in pool, internet and updated kitchen that add a more modern flare as well. There were 10 of us for most of the trip, and every one of my family and friends were also in awe of the property, location and the Tuscan hills that you look at as you float in the pool. The local restaurants are some of the best that I’ve been to (and I live in the NYC area). The beauty of these local restaurants are the simplicity of the fresh ingredients, the laid back atmosphere and the people who work there. During our stay we developed true connections with the locals at the restaurants, coffee bar, gelato place, and even the local supermarket (we were probably in there every day!). So now the people who made our trip so special - the owner Jan was very helpful throughout the entire process starting from when we made the reservation through when we checked out. He was patient with my (many) questions, and offered his favorite local places, all which we visited and they did prove to be special. Then there was the Property Manager, Ingrid, who could not have been more helpful on every front. She met us upon arrival and was also there for many questions during our stay. She orchestrated a birthday dinner for me to be cooked at the house by a local chef, which was perfect. She does not reside at Villa La Stazione, but lives close, and knows the property inside/out. She made our stay very enjoyable and although she checked in every few days with us, only came by when we needed something. Then there are the landscaper, pool person, house cleaner, etc. All wonderful to interact with and know the property very well. This is a very well run house, that is in a beautiful location that proved to be the best vacation and best birthday ever. I highly recommend Villa La Stazione!!!

Heerlijke locatie en perfecte uitvalsbasis!

Prachtige locatie! Het huis was perfect zoals voorgesteld op de foto's. Dé ideale uitvalsbasis om Toscane te ontdekken. Zeer goed contact met de eigenaar die ons de nodige info had doorgegeven. Tevens ook de plaatselijke contactpersoon, Ingrid, die gemakkelijk te bereiken was en steeds ter beschikking stond. Kortom een droomlocatie voor een perfecte vakantie!!

Underbara dagar i ett fantastiskt hus!

Vi hade en underbar vistelse och trivdes fantastiskt bra i Villa La Stazione. Vi hade också tur med vårvädret och njöt av solen i den vackra trädgården. Två saker vill vi framhålla lite extra: Det ena är de extremt bekväma sängarna, det är inte ofta man får sova i så sköna sängar. Dessutom stora luftiga sovrum som gav den perfekta nattsömnen. Det andra är det stora, rymliga och välutrustade köket där det är en ren fröjd att laga mat runt den stora köksön. Och två steg utanför köksdörren mot baksidan finns alla kryddväxter man kan önska sig: timjan, rosmarin, mynta osv. Det här känns verkligen som ett riktigt hem. Läget var helt perfekt för det bästa i Toscana: Lucca, havet, vingårdarna, Florens och nära till flygplatsen i Pisa. Vi drömmer redan om att komma tillbaka!
