3 couples stayed here for 5 nights. The first night was miserable for 1 couple because their bed was not much softer than the floor. Thankfully we found a thick mattress pad for the rest of the stay. The place is beautiful. The is no air conditioning and no fans. There is no automatic coffee maker. The patio and grounds are lovely and the entire home is behind a locked gate.

Eight day visit for a family of five. The house was clean and had family friendly perks. It is in a good location with lots of outside area, but a vehicle is suggested for traveling the area. Home is a very good size, nicely furnished except for living room furniture that could use an upgrade. Kitchen well equipped and bathrooms very nice. Outdoor patio has a nice wooden table set with chairs that we were able to use on multiple occasions. However, the outdoor lounge furniture needs updating.The consensus was a 7.5-8 rating that could be a 9.5 with a couple of upgrades.

Hi-end Villa

This Sienna home provides amazing high-end accommodations for a small family that enjoys quality. The photos do not do it justice. The villa could be featured in Architectural Digest, with top of the line kitchen appliances, high quality tile work in both large bathrooms, comfortable furnishings and quality antiques. and large windows with high sloped ceilings in great room. My family of four adults very much enjoyed our stay in this private villa in a gated estate. Several caveates--you need a car and navigation system to truly enjoy the villa and the surrounding areas. It is at least a 45 minute walk to the old city of Siena, and it is easy to get lost. Parking mid-day was impossible near the old city. There is public bus nearby if you know enough Italian to navigate the system. Also, the two twin beds int the third (children's) bedroom are short and my 6 foot plus sons did not fit in the beds. They would be great for younger children for whom they are intended. We ate at the nearby "Jolly" restaurant and had a great meal at a reasonable cost. We highly recommend it. This is a great comfortable luxury base for exploring Siena and Tuscany. I only wish we had had more time on our busy trip to stay longer.

Fantastique

Notre famille a séjourné près de 5 semaines dans cette maison. Très bien située, près de l'arrêt de bus, d'un parc et de plusieurs services. Un grand terrain et une belle terrasse nous ont permis de bien profiter de l'endroit. La maison est très chaleureuse en plus d'être très bien équipée. Je recommande chaudement.

Wonderful Home

After staying in hotels in Rome and Florence, out thought was to find a villa for the 3rd leg of our Italian vacation. To space out a bit and have room for the 4 of us in a home-away-from-home property. This home was extraordinary, meticulously maintained, and certainly as advertised. Many thanks to the owner and his parents who live in the adjoining property and were very helpful. We dined in one night and had all the housewares we needed to have a delightful meal. A small store is nearby for breakfast, coffee, etc. The bus to Siena is also a short walk. Our only regret was that we did not book for a longer stay!

Huset er store, fine rom med stor takhøyde. Nydelig stor stue, praktisk kjøkken, ligger stille til. Kort vei til hyggelig bar og til baker. En hyggelig spasertur fra byen hvis været er godt. Ellers god bussforbindelse. Ligger også like ved Via Francigena-ruten. En fin tur nordover i et flott landskap.

Beautiful House in Siena

Perfect for a family getaway and R&R in Tuscany. Roberto's house is beautiful and immaculate! The pictures don't do it justice. Wish we could stay longer to enjoy the house and its amenities. This was our first trip to Italy and we made most of our one and half day exploring the hill towns including Siena. Roberto's mom checked us in and out and even though we could hardly communicate (Google Translate was a big help) she made us feel welcome. Roberto was very responsive to all our questions and based on his recommendations, we decided to rent a car from Florence for the trip to Tuscany and it was the right choice. We were able to visit San Gimignano, Monterrigioni and Pienza during our stay. Other than the cold and wet weather, our stay in Siena was a delightful one and having a nice place to stay was simply icing on the cake. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place

Me and my husband absolutely loved Roberto's villa. It had everything one needs so it felt like being in our own home. On top of this as it can be seen from the photos there is a large garden and a patio area where we had breakfast every morning. We usually hire a car when on holiday but this time it was not necessary as the public transport is very good in Siena and outside Siena.There is a bus stop just 4-5 minutes away from the villa and once we figured out the bus timetable it was perfect. We also got the train to Florence and Pisa and the coach to San Giminiano. I also enjoyed having a chat with Roberto's parents in law from time to time when they were looking after the garden.They also greet you in the beginning and give you the necessary info about the property, in Italian(which I do speak a bit). However, Roberto is at hand (on the phone) if there are any questions. We would definitely like to go back.

Home away from home with your own Italian nonna.

Our stay in Robert's home was an absolute delight. We stayed there for the Palio and it added so much to what was already the highlight of our Europe trip. The villa had more than enough room to cook, entertain, sleep or find your own private space. All six adults had a wonderful time with the whole property. We would come back again and again. Robert's mom on another part of the property was the highlight though. We miss her already.

Great accommodation

We stayed here for a whole month and had a great time with our three small kids. The house is beautifully furnished and the property is really large. Roberto's mom and their small dogs lives on the same property but on another part that privacy is granted. The nice old town of Siena is reachable by foot within 25 minutes, alternatively you can take a bus that leaves twice an hour. We can highly recommend this house.

splendido soggiorno!

La casa è davvero bellissima, anche più di come appare nelle foto! Veramente completa di tutti i comfort. E' in città ma immersa nel verde e molto silenziosa. Anche i bambini erano entusiasti, per gli spazi e i giochi che hanno trovato. I proprietari sono stati molto gentili e disponibili, davvero tutto impeccabile!

A privilege to stay in this lovely family home

This was a perfect home for our complete family for two days, especially to spectate the 1000 Miglia passing through Siena. It was easy to find, very well equipped for self catering and with a lovely garden to sit/play/relax. The online description was very accurate.
