Fabulous Maui stay

Wonderful stay for a week with my family. Beautiful view with rainbows and turtles! The best stocked rental I have ever stayed in, including beach gear. Perfect location for exploring the area. We’ll be back!

Peaceful and Restful

It is a intimate and beautiful compound of low rise buildings in a semi circle around a pool with ocean vistas. I have never seen so may turtles as I did in the small bay. Clean, modern, and spacious. We had a very lovely stay and would come again.

Delightful Retreat!

We enjoyed everything about this property, starting with location: amazing location with great snorkeling and sea turtles steps away, ocean views from main living space, pool and lawn visible from lanai, walk to Napili and Kapalua, near-daily rainbows in December. The unit: updated interiors with fun, beachy decor, ninja blender and daily smoothies, puzzles, games, beach chairs, one snorkel set, great small kitchen with everything you need, plenty of hooks to keep towels try, comfortable beds and bedding, wonderfully placed lounge furniture to enjoy the view. Lovely staff and guests! Our stay was the best, and we hope to return in the future!

10/10 Condo Rental

This was our third time staying at Honokeana Cove (different units each visit) so we knew exactly what to expect from the property and surrounding area. The unit came stocked with everything you could need for your stay including beach chairs, towels, and umbrella. The kitchen is well stocked, even with spices for cooking and plasticware to take down to the pool deck. My singular complaint is that there wasn’t foil to use at the ocean front grills and that’s something we could easily resolve ourselves. Despite the fact that this unit is tucked into the corner, there’s a fantastic ocean view and great airflow through all of the windows. This condo truly does not disappoint and the property itself is no exception!

Comfortable unit, incredible view

Loved our stay at this unit. Incredible ocean views from Lanai (better than I expected based on the photos). We were a group of six and had plenty of space. 15-minute walk to Napili beach, one of our favourite beaches on the island. Every day we saw lots of turtles swimming in the cove or sunning on the shore. The unit also stayed a nice comfortable temperature for our entire stay. Property managers were always friendly and responsive. We would love to return to this unit in future.

The only suggestions I have would be to put a VCR, digital cable and a flat screen TV in each room. In addition, it would have been nice to have a hot tub on site. The location was perfect for snorkeling, walking to the Gazeebo restaurant, and driving in to Lahaina for more food options. We'll definitely be back!

A wonderful place to stay

The condo was impeccable and had everything we needed. Even a few loaner chairs and float noodles which were so great to have. Loved the sea turtles everyday and the tiki torches at night with sunset. Just a perfect spot, beach access is a few minutes walk around to the next bay, otherwise enjoy the rocky Honokeana Bay perfect for swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding. Wish we could have stayed forever.

It's the best snorkeling on the island and we just love the low key, easy feel of the property. When we go to an island, we want to feel a bit removed from it all, but we also have small children. So, this is THE PERFECT option for feeling quiet and secluded, away from the giant resorts, with a perfect pool, kitchen and play areas for the kids. This condo in particular was so nicely redone and furnished. Please include in the rental listing that you have beach chairs and an umbrella for your guests to use (would've saved us from renting prior to arrival). Thank you!

It is located on a marvellous snorkelling cove with a killer view of Molokai. The sandy beach is a 1-2 block walk. Unit 209 is 2 Br + upstairs loft bedrrom and 2 full baths. The unit is well stocked. It is clean and the furnishings are more than adequate. In all, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay on Maui, this is it. It is particularly well suited for extended stays. Many of the guests get to know each other at the pool or communal BBQs.

Just the Right Level

Hard to find this level on the coast which has enormous complexes that are newer and more expensive but pretty generic and far more expensive. This place is like home-- quirky. Some units more up-to-date than others. The one we rented needs an upgrade but was fine for our family. We could cook for ourselves--there are three gas grills for guests. Hard to beat!

Killer old school digs with a killer view

The unit was clean and well appointed, LOVED the view when we woke up in the morning. More importantly it was quite. The perfect vacation spot to relax and hang out with your family. All the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing I could "complain" about was that there weren't any extra blankets (that I could locate), only the thin bed cover and sheets. I would have liked an extra blanket. We definitely will plan on requesting this unit again!

Awesome location, Very dated unit

We've stayed in numerous units over the years and this was by far the most need of updating. The carpet was old and stained. Even the wrought iron patio furniture with vinyl seats have seen their day. They did add nice granite on top of the original dated cabinets, which was odd. Also, the unit does have a fair amount road noise, but it helped to shut windows and curtains. Other than that the staff and property were fantastic as usual. Will come back again, just not to this unit.

Nice resort, below average condo

Reviewer Comments: This was a lovely resort but we unfortunately had a below average condo. Upon arrival we found the condo had not been inspected and cleaning products were left out, a smoke detector was chirping, and bath towels were missing. Resident manager was extremely helpful and corrected everything right away. First surprise was no air conditioning. This was not communicated well upon booking...I eventually found a blurb on the FAQ page of the website, buried under "Heating and Cooling" that not all condos have air. Would not have been an issue except our condo was located next to the road and we were awakened every day at 5:30am by the noise. Air with closed windows would have greatly reduced the traffic noise. Condo is in desperate need of updating. Dresser drawers were broken, beds very uncomfortable, door knobs on bedrooms would stay locked after leaving the room, then blow shut by the breeze and we would get locked out. Fortunately the resident manager provided us with the keys. Another smoke detector went off at 3:00am that we had to dismantle. The video on the website made the condo appear lighter and brighter than it actually was. Again, updating the dark wood paneling would make it more light and appealing. I got the feeling this condo is not rented often and the only update it's had in the last 20 years is granite in the kitchen. The resort itself is lovely, beautifully landscaped, great location on the cove with outstanding snorkeling, clean pool, walking distance to Napili Bay and restaurants. At night we could see in some other condos and they looked much nicer than ours. First time we've had a less than excellent experience based on a TripAdvisor high rating. Very disappointing. Would only return if we had an air conditioned unit that was updated.

Aloha Jeff, I am terribly sorry for your experience in this unit. This owner is making plans to do some updating next year. I hope you will come see us again and book early to get the unit you desire. As far as air conditioning, normally we do not need it here in Napili. It just so happened that we had an unusual heat wave; the hottest I have seen it in the 45 years I have lived here. Mahalo for your review, Su

OUR WONDERFUL FAMILY VACATION

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A total of 19 family members met at Honokeana Covefor a wonderful time on the Island of Maui. The location was perfect, condos were lovely, and the friendliness of everyone added to a perfect week for all of us. We would love to return again soon.
