Vérifiez celui-ci! Quel endroit! Situé presque à la pointe de la péninsule Gun Point sur Great Island, cet emplacement offre des vues spectaculaires sur la baie de Casco. Face au sud-ouest, on peut admirer des couchers de soleil exceptionnels derrière les îles Orr et Bailey à travers Gun Point Cove, et admirer l'immensité de la mer ouverte de Casco Bay au-delà, tout en profitant de la chaleur du soleil couchant. Le cap bien entretenu de 3 chambres est au bord de l'océan. Le mouvement des eaux de marée vous apaisera et vous détendra pour rendre votre escapade inoubliable. Pour les enfants de tous âges, la crique de baignade, formée par les rebords et juste à l'avant, offre un grand plaisir pour nager à marée haute et explorer les bassins de marée pour les créatures marines à marée basse pour ne pas laisser de côté la collection de coquillages de toutes formes et tailles. Et pour les nageurs plus âgés et expérimentés, un quai est parfois partagé avec les propriétaires pour nager en eau profonde à toute marée. C'est un endroit très calme mais proche des plages publiques. Les visites touristiques à travers des villes côtières pittoresques sont un must. Vous ne serez pas déçu. Beautiful waterfront views overlooking Gun Point Cove. The home is comfortable and very clean throughout. A great central location for seeing the sights around the Harpswell area and trying the local seafood establishments. Liliette is always an excellent host. Looking forward to our return visit!

It was a wonderful week and the views are spectacular. We had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend this house highly and the host was very nice.

Since returning from our vacation in Harpswell we have wrestled with the old saying, "You get what you pay for." Unfortunately planning and traveling to an unfamiliar place with an investment in both money and time left us vulnerable... the home was not clean by a typical VRBO standard and had an odor that required consistent open windows. Regrettably a result of the lack of neccessary upgrades. Bed linens were very low quality and stained. Bath and hand towels were limited, worn and thin. Deck railings were not secure and had we traveled with children, considered unsafe. There is a 1.5 mile dirt/gravel road to the home not mentioned in the listing. The positves are the view from the deck and proximity to Brunswick and Bath. We do not recommend this property!

Thank you for the review. We are always working to improve the property, and guests' views are welcome. Many former guests have commented on the cleanliness of the house. As of late, however, there has been an issue with the cleaning service, and this matter has already been addressed. The deck railing was re-inforced immediately upon learning of the possibility of its lack of safety. Although the house was built in 1978, it is lovely as stated in previous reviews. As for the road, it is currently in year two of a three-year improvement plan. Many private oceanfront properties in Harpswell treating guests to outstanding views and awesome sunsets are on gravel roads. This property is an affordable vacation home on the seashore in Maine and well worth the drive.

Great Ocean Views

Excellent location on Gun Point Cove. Beautiful views and sunsets over the water. Enjoyed peaceful mornings sipping coffee on the deck. Fresh seafood available within a short drive.

The house was amazing and Liliette was a wonderful host. We enjoyed talking with her and her sister-in-law. House had everything we needed and location was great. Very quiet area. Everyone stayed on the deck most days. It was about 2 hrs from places we like to visit yearly in Maine. Will be staying at this place next year.

Beautiful views and great shelling

This was a very clean, tidy, and lovely home on the rock cliffs with its own swimming hole at high tide. It was convenient for shopping and visiting quaint gift shops. Sunset views were phenomenal!The owner is very friendly and helpful with answers to our questions about local places to visit. I would stay here again in the future.

This is such a lovely location and we enjoyed our time there tremendously! Listening to the tidal waters is so relaxing and exploring the private little "beach" area when the tide is low results in some beautiful finds of rocks and shells. We saw Bald Eagles, Ospreys, Great Blue Herons, and a lot of Cormorants and we enjoyed watching the lobster boats check and refill their traps each day. Liliette is a gracious host and a clear, prompt communicator. We look forward to another visit in the future!

Restful property with plenty to do nearby

Comfortable accommodations, welcoming host and beautiful location for family and friends. Farmers markets, historic towns, music, theater, hiking, kayaking and other activities nearby. All kinds of shopping, tours, and entertainment are available in Portland, an hour away. A little further south there’s outlet shopping at Freeport. We have stayed here for years and plan to continue.

We had a wonderful visit at this house. The views from the top floor bedrooms, as well as from the living room and deck are just spectacular. The fridge -- and this is not always true at rentals - was absolutely spotless when we arrived. The "dirt" road is actually rocky and takes a little getting used to, but we improved our time each drive! The family who owns the property was wonderful, and they share the little cove with you.
