Great location close to town and the beach. It was nice to have the house with the room we needed and the use of the amenities at the hotel.

Family vaca

House was perfect for our family. A bathroom in every room limited night time disturbances. , Staff was extremely friendly, my boys loved playing with everyone at the Helm. pool/ jacuzzi huge bonus!

Great location

We stayed for a full week with 2 teen girls. We had access to the pools and the property grounds. We were within walking distance of the ocean, shops, and restaurants. It’s centrally located to also visit Portland, Portsmouth, or Massachusetts. Mostly quiet area. The front porch was great other than the traffic noise, but after 9PM things got quiet.

Potential

Commander’s Cottage has the potential to be a fabulous place for relaxing vacation. The house is clean and the location is great for a short walk to anywhere in Ogunquit. The flowers & grounds are gorgeous. The employees however are not helpful and we often felt like we were inconveniencing them in anything we needed. Ie: we were given a battery to replace a beeping fire alarm instead of them taking care of it. Not sure we would stay there again.

August cottage vacation

Cottage has plenty of room- lovely kitchen, new gas fireplace. Good location for walking to town, restaurants, beach. However, it is in definite need of updating- peeling wall paper, poor lighting, broken icemaker, half working grill, no carbon monoxide detector, and questionable working smoke alarms. No garbage, towel service and very intermittent wifi. Dirty fans in bathroom, with possible mold - cobwebs in corners upstairs.

We are surprised to learn about all of this after the fact, as some of the things mentioned are part of the contractual agreement, were discussed during our multiple conversations and were elaborated on during the initial walk through. As a part of a larger property, during peak season we do have someone at our front desk 24 hours. Had your concerns been voiced we would have addressed them at that time. We take the safety of our guests very seriously therefore all our monitoring devices are fully functioning, inspected and in compliance with posted safety standards. The Commodores Cottage was a perfect retreat for our group. We had 3 couples so the bedrooms each having their own baths was great. The kitchen and common areas were very spacious. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch or back deck with coffee or a glass of wine. The cottage was walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants.

Cozy house

Perfect beach house for my family. Walking distance to great restaurants theater and beach. Loved the pool and outside bar area. On a busy Street so would not recommend for families with small children.

Ogunquit Trip With Teens

We had a fantastic time. The place was spotless and the staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful! We could walk to the beach and to the shops in town. I’d definitely recommend it!

Had a wonderful three weeks at this cottage in Ogunquit

Ideal location, 15 minute walk to both beach and Perkins Cove. Very comfortable cottage.

What a great vacation

We stayed in the penthouse 3bedroom condo. We walked into a beautiful basket of fresh fruits and one of snacks. Newer and clean,the central air had it nice and cool. We finally found a place that realizes the beds are a top priority. King and queen size beds were very comfortable. A great night sleep gives you a start to a great day. We were within easy walking distance to the town center and beach. The staff was also excellent. We had a couple of requests that were taken care of quickly, they truly wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. In all the years going to Maine, from York to Kennibunk, this was our best stay. We'd get back from the beach, grab a cocktail and spend time at the pool, very nice. My wife and daughter said it felt more like home than a hotel. I could go on, but suffice it to say, we will be staying here again. Maybe a fall or winter trip, we heard there's a lot going on in the off season as well. Thanks for helping us make a great vacation.
