Petit chalet calme situé sur la magnifique plage de Higgins, à quelques pas de la rue jusqu'à la plage. Grande location de printemps, d'été ou d'automne. Profitez de l'air frais de l'océan pendant vos vacances, surfez, bronzez, pêchez et nagez. Cottage sauvegarde à Rachel Carson Preserve. près de Fun town splash town, Old orchard beach, Old port à Portland. Fun, fun, fun. soleil et surf. Cottage a 3chambres, 1 lit queen size, 1 lit double et un lit jumeau situé hors de la chambre double. Salon avec câble TV 32 pouces et service Internet. Cuisine complète et combo laveuse-sécheuse. Enrouler autour de la véranda, porche avant ouvert côté grillagé. Barbecue à gaz, table de pique-nique. Salle de bain grande cabine de douche. chalet a la chaleur.
Accepter maintenant les locations pour l'été 2019 Il y a des frais de nettoyage de 100,00 qui sont remboursables après inspection du chalet. Ceci est un chalet non fumeur.

We had a great experience renting this house! It was the perfect size for our family of four. The neighborhood is quiet and the walk to the beach is quick and easy. Something to keep in mind is that this is a self-cleaning rental, so the home’s cleanliness upon arrival may vary depending on the departing guest’s maintenance. We would return.

Excellent proximity to the beach. 5 minute walk for easy living from sunrise to sunset. Classic old style cottage bungalow with cozy feel. Could be even better with newer couches and beds. Well equipped kitchen and new gas grill. Great front porch to relax and absorb the beach atmosphere! Higgins beach is our favorite!

We love Higgins Beach and this little bungalow has just what we need to enjoy ourselves for a week of vacation at the beach. The check-in process is easy. The house is well stocked with anything you might need. This is our 3rd year staying here and we keep coming back because it is just right.

A very sweet property situated within walking distant to the beach where we walked to everyday. A quiet street and close to restaurants and sites (like Two Lights). We had a lovely time in a beautiful place.

Great!

This is our 2nd year staying here for a week in August. Higgins Beach is such a special place and this is a great spot to relax and enjoy vacation. We have been coming here for over 30 years and stayed in many different houses but this one is exactly as described, clean, easy, good communication. We love it.

Nice location. Well-kept house. Generally pretty clean. Parking space for 3 cars. However, outdoor gas grill was not clean at all and kitchen stovetop control panel was greasy & thus required cleaning prior to use. Beds are somewhat dated but okay. Generally a nice place.

Fantastic stay in a very cute bungalow! It was our first time renting from Mary Ann. She had fresh-cut flowers on the dining room table for us when we arrived. We walked to the beach every day, and enjoyed the amazing local life of Higgins Beach. The unit was cozy and private... It has a really nice porch with a grill (which we used a bunch!)... We sat on the porch every night and morning. There was a beach wagon, beach chairs and boogie boards! Plenty of fans kept the place cool enough - we brought a couple extra fans, so it was perfect. Very grateful to have found this gem!

Location, location, location

Cozy place that could use a bit of updating and refreshing. The older couches had multiple layers of covers so not comfortable. Scratched furniture. House not clean when arrived and informed host of such. Broken kitchen cabinet and left window, leaking porch roof, front door does not latch, broken trim on chimney, cracked plastic lawn chair, dirty beach wagon/cart. Kitchen could use some other items, tongs, small bowls. Messy side porch with cleaning supplies left out. Strong smell of mothballs from closet. Host did not respond to communication after check in. Good water pressure, quiet street and good location. Not a great value at this price point with no linens provided. Snug bedrooms so fine for couple/small family. Would recommend for friends/family!

This is first person to complain about our cottage in all the years we have owned it. Cottage was freshly painted inside and out , Cottage was also clean. When they left there was cat hair in the shower drain. Cat hair on quilts., dishes left in dishwasher. Told them porch leak was to be fixed after summer rentals. Grill was a mess. It says right on rental that it is a self cleaning cottage you leave it in same condition you find it. The cleaning items are left out on shelf on porch so people can see them to use. Sorry you weren't happy, but I wouldn't rent to you again.

The beach bungalow had plenty of room for all of us and space to host friends for dinner. Having a washer/dryer and a dishwasher was nice. We do wish that the bedrooms had drawers to store clothing, but we made do by finding other places to sort them. The front bedroom could use a light other than a desk lamp. Thoroughly enjoyed the front deck and the screened in porch where we could eat dinner. The grill on the front deck was convenient as well. Nice quiet location.

Perfect Location!

We loved our week staying here. This is a cute little beach bungalow with everything we needed to enjoy a week at the beautiful Higgins Beach. The proximity to the beach is easy and the front porch with its party lights was our favorite place to spend our time when we weren't on the beach.

Beautiful location, quaint cottage

Location was absolutely perfect! Walking distance to the beach in a very friendly and well kept beach neighborhood. Cottage is very quaint and quiet on the edge of the marsh. It is a “bring your own” type cottage- sheets, towels, blankets, salt and pepper (we left some for the next folks to use) etc. Cottage is simple as pictured. Basic yet cozy and comfortable. There is a beach carriage and fold up wagon to use as well as some bogey boards which we were thankful for. We did notice that the floors have been updated since photos were taken. My only advice is that if you love to cook like we do, bring your own spices or check out the farmers market in town on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Higgins Beach Getaway

Fabulous cottage with great screened and open porches. Cottage was clean and kitchen well stocked. Lots of seating and excellent WiFi. You couldn’t be in a better location to hear birds singing, smell of beach roses and pleasant short walk to the beach. I wish Higgins still had more laid back cottages like this! Reminds me of historical Higgins days. Comfy and tranquil stay! I highly recommend. Could use a few more mugs and we had to borrow beach chairs from a friend but overall great place

Perfect Summer Cottage

I couldn’t have asked for a better location for a cottage rental just down from Higgins Beach! My stay was exactly what I was looking for- relaxing, peaceful, walking distance to the beach and Higgins Market. Loved every moment!

Peaceful, Relaxing, Quiet, and Secluded

The back yard of the cottage is actually up against the Audubon Bird Sanctuary so it is beautiful protected land. We loved having coffee and tea on the screened in porch in the mornings with bird songs and bird visits right in front of us. The location being a block back from the beach and closer to one end made for a very quiet, rather secluded stay, which was wonderful for relaxing and sleeping at night. There were some beach supplies waiting on the porch (including a wagon) and the gas grill was newer and worked very well. New floors in living room and bedrooms and new coat of paint with a nautical theme gave us a comfortable, cozy feel. We would highly recommend this peaceful getaway and peaceful experience on one of Maine’s finest beaches. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely rent the bungalow again in the future! ❤️

Low frills, but comfortable beach house

This house was as we expected—nothing fancy, but clean enough to be comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice. It’s quiet and pretty. The washing machine had a leak, but we were only there a week so just avoided using it. I expect it will be fixed for future renters. If you are low maintenance and like the beach, it’s a good choice!

We chose this property or rather it chose us. One year before the property came on the market,my husband and I drove by the cottage and I remarked to him how cute it was and we would own it someday. We both laughed . A year later who knew it would become ours.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Single floor living. New floors installed. Cozy cottage. Has an enclosed porch for eating , sitting outside in evening without the bugs. Also small open porch in front. Short walk to beach,and cottage backyard is Rachel marsh preserve.
