This was our second stay at the cottage and will not be our last. Between the location and the house itself it’s hard to beat for a quick getaway. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Fireplaces in every room and a nice hot tub.

Long weekend getaway for husband and I. Beautiful cabin with awesome lake views, private setting, and we used the hot tub often. The place was much bigger than we anticipated, had everything we needed to cook meals, and the fireplace in the living room and bedroom were so nice and cozy.

My wife and I enjoyed this beautiful lodge and we had a tranquil, silent night for our Christmas stay. We cannot say enough in praise of this place!
The only soul my wife and I saw on Christmas other than each other - which for this one single day - was heaven.

Place was fantastic. Will recommend to anyone venturing to Galena. The only issue was a bit far from the downtown area.

From our cottage “The Cottage on Lake Galena” it is 10 to 12 minutes from downtown Galena depending on the route you choose . Suggest the “back way “ on Mt. Hope Rd. This is much shorter than taking the main route on Highway 20 .

Cottage was amazing. Unfortunately the hot tube didn’t work. I would recommend going and experiencing the cottage. I plan to go back next summer beings our family enjoys to golf. The owner was very friendly and easy to get along with. He answered any questions I had. I would highly recommend.

Very sorry about the rare occurrence with the hot tub not working . I think the guest would agree that we did everything possible to get it up and running in a timely manner. The prior guest damaged the control panel on the Sunday, the same day that this guest checked in . It took until Wednesday to get a new control panel which allowed us to fix the hot tub on that day. The hot tub is only three years old.

The Cottage was beautiful with an outstanding view of Lake Galena. The kitchen is well stocked with all the supplies we needed and the Wi-Fi access was excellent since we had several business zoom meetings during our stay. Michael (owner) is awesome with information coming in plenty of time. Overall I would highly recommend this cottage if you are staying near Galena.

Friends Getaway

Celebrated a 40th Wedding Anniversary and a retirement on our weekend. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch, loving the view and listening to the birds sing. Very relaxing. The house was a perfect size for the 4 of us!! Enjoyed very much!!

30th Anniversary Getaway

I can't say enough good things about The Cottage on Lake Galena. My wife and I have stayed at a number of houses in the Territories over the years and this is one of our favorite. Great views, fireplaces, hot tub, easy check-in and more. We will definitely be returning.
